dearcharliemarketing Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Hi all, I'd like to improve the UX of the checkout process. By adding a button that appears when product is in the cart / after clicking add to cart on the item page that says 'go to checkout'. So that users do not have to scroll up to the cart icon to checkout. Is this possible? Website is built in the brine template. Currently it is password protected so cannot share the URL, but it the checkout page hasn't been edited in terms of CSS (yet!). Thanks all
paul2009 Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Yes, a developer could easily add this capability with JavaScript. -Paul Squarespace Expert & Professional Developer Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. dearcharliemarketing Posted August 22, 2019 Author Posted August 22, 2019 Thanks @Paul2009 , so to be clear, it's not something I can do in CSS?

SnazzyView Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I created a modal pop-up that might help you. https://thompsonweb.design/squarespace-website-tips/added-to-cart-pop-up
paul2009 Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 Correct. CSS can style the button, but not create it. Brad's original answer [later removed] achieved this with JS and CSS. dearcharliemarketing Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Hey @thompsonwebdesign, I've added this it's brilliant for desktop, but for mobile frustratingly it's not resizing. Any ideas on how I can make it responsive? Thanks so much
dearcharliemarketing Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 On closer inspection, this is making the headings jump up above the page for a second before the page loads so I think there may be a glitch with this otherwise this would be so perfect! What a shame... do you think it's something you could tell me how to resolve?
SnazzyView Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Would you be able to share a link to your website so I can take a look.
dearcharliemarketing Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 It's not currently live is there any way to DM you the URL and PW to view it? I stripped the modal pop up out as it wasn't working, but can certainly add back in if you wanted to look over it.
SnazzyView Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Hi there, I've just tried it on a few different websites and I can't seem to recreate the issues that you're having. If you can the code back to your website and send me link via the contact form on my website I can take a look at it for you to see if we can solve the problem. https://thompsonweb.design/get-in-touch
