How can i use the facebook pixel to track service products?

I am trying to set up a Facebook pixel for my site. I am selling services, not physical products. "Creating Facebook ads for your products" page seems to indicate that i can't use the fb pixel for a service product - is this the case? If so, why is this? Can I manually install code to get around this? Can I install the pixel to track other things like traffic to my site and not the product checkout process? Thanks!

Probably easier to respond directly to the question/thread. But are you able to share the URL to your website so we can see how this has been implemented?

My site is www.Marybeth.Art. So I was able to manually insert the code rather than using the square space implementer. I don't understand why square space doesn't support tracking for services and only products... but I guess I have what I need for now. (I realized that trying a different browser helped solve some of my problems with manually setting up the pixel.)
