Using a cover page template for the entire site (esp with blogs)

Hi all,

Currently my website has a cover page as its main landing page, with the Vignette template. I actually really like how it looks - an image on one side, content on the other. I haven't found a non-cover-page template that does this, so I'm thinking of just replicating that cover page a few times with the content I want (a few pages of text).

(I don't want one long page with all the sections and I don't have enough large images to warrant things like full-bleed or parallax scrolling)

The trouble might be in setting up a blog with this layout - I'm not sure how cover pages handle blog entries. Is there a way to make it work with a template like Vignette?
