Adding new images to top of gallery

They will always be added at the end, but you can manually drag them to change position.

I have the same question.  As my galleries grow (e.g. nature photography), it can be very cumbersome to add images to the end of the page and drag them up to the top.

Often the old and/or newly added images don't all load when editing, so it seems like bandwidth becomes an issue when having to re-order them manually.

I just came back to this forum to start a new post on this topic if need be.  I'm trying to add photos to my gallery right now and my EXISTING photos take so long to load (IF at all) that I can't even select the new photos that I've added to move them to the top, since they aren't loading!  It is really unworkable and frustrating.

Galleries are a huge part of my website as an amateur photographer.  I can't parse them out into little separate galleries, I want my collections to be able to grow!  I also don't want to resort to another photography application to organize my photos online and link to my website.... that is why I purchased a website subscription and shouldn't have to pay for another.

Very frustrated right now 😞

Totally agree. This is an absolute no brainer Squarespace. Anyone who knows anything about selling knows you want to showcase your new products/latest items first. This is a very simple fix and should be added as an option in the back-end so that I can have it that way, and the next person can have it the other way if they choose. It is cumbersome and slow to have to drag your images to the top every time you upload.
