Bedford - Increase banner size for Blog Posts & Events

I have been trying to increase the banner size for the blog posts and events on our site. I tried using custom CSS, inserting code, but so far nothing has worked. Most recently, I tried inserting this code into the blog item code injection:

.transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper, .transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper {
    padding: 200px 0 200px;
}
</style>

It has not worked. For the events banner I have been unable to change anything.

Does anyone had an idea on how to tackle this?
