scale mobile gallery with CSS seems impossible

Hi,I can't seem to scale the gallery container with CSS, the images inside scale fine with the code I have but not the container?

@media screen and (max-width:640px) { .sqs-gallery-design-strip { height: 400px; } }

Any ideas why?Thanks
