Can you add a side navigation bar to a template that doesn't already include it?

Recommended Posts

I was using the Bedford template for my website and switched to the Harris template. I really liked the feature on Bedford where there are links to other pages in a folder available on the side of the screen and I want to include that on my new website. However, it seems that a secondary side navigation option is not a simple add-on. I don't want to recreate everything in a different template, so is there some sort of custom CSS or anything I can do to add a side navigation bar? Thanks!
