Five Template: Cant edit site styles in developer mode?

HiI am developing with FIVE templateThe only configuration files I see when I take a local copy are (selected)

.\

• footer.region full-width.region
• header.region one-sidebar.region
• split-sidebars.region
• template.conf
• two-sidebars.region

and in .\styles

• font-awesome.css
• global.css
• mobile-nav.css
• mobile.css
• reset.css
• sqs-video-background.less

there are no other .less files to edit and editing the .css seems to change nothing

Is FIVE a truly editable template? Am I missing any files? Other templates seem to be structured per the squarespace developer documentation
