How do I change the way the Hatch template scales the background image?

I'm using the Hatch template for my site smithcasey.com. The background image I'm using gets covered by the header text on mobile.

What I want to happen is for the text to slide above the person in the background photo on mobile, or disappear entirely. Currently, the background crops the background photo from the left side of the screen rather than the right. I believe if I could change it to crop the background from the right, the image of the person would simply disappear on mobile and display the header text only.

If anyone knows how to change this or has any other ideas, I would greatly appreciate it.
