Adjust page width only on a single page and retain responsive design

Hi there,

I've got most of my new site configured, see here: https://leopard-tarpon-zsj4.squarespace.com/

But, I want the website a certain width for all pages except the homepage, where I want the images to be a larger width.

The site width is currently set to 1107px. I've tried the following CSS:

   #canvas {
     width: 1500px;
   }
   #page {
     width: 1500px;
  }
}

This basically gives me the effect I want on the homepage, but is useless for mobile/tablet view (or if the user resizes their browser window) as it doesn't resize according to the display.
