OneMaikeru
I've tried using the < del>< /del> html tag, but is there something special I need to do with Markdown in order to get the text strikethrough to appear in my text block? Edited July 27, 2016 by TylerF Link to comment
Heids
Hi there, Unfortunately, a text block doesn't allow you to write html code. You would have to add a 'Code Block' and place your text there with the relevant html code. Hope this makes sense. (: Link to comment
Solution digitalfreelancer Posted December 4, 2014 Solution Share Posted December 4, 2014 Hi, just to confirm for people that find this question like I did, strikethrough does work in Markdown blocks on Squarespace (and FYI the red colour in this example is not the default styling) so you don't have to use a code block, but it definitely won't work in a standard text block (hint hint Squarespace, are you reading this?) Guest Vinko
Hi Andrew, will using a standard Text block achieve this strikethrough or does it have to be a Markdown block? If it is a Markdown block what is the exact syntax? Thank you in advance. Link to comment
digitalfreelancer
Hi Vinko, you cannot use a standard text block, it must be markdown or a code block. The synatx is < del > and < / del >. Please remove the spaces inside the chevrons, I added these so that the synatx would show in this comment. Link to comment

Mllejennifer1570048144
Ugh. Another downgrade from v5. I run a humor site, and we use strikethroughs quite a bit in our writing. mrwitte 1 Link to comment
cmoothart
Why isn't strikethrough offered in basic text format? Seriously, this is kindergarten stuff! I pay extra money for additional pages. But those pages are no good to me if I can't design/write them as required. gw7 and mrwitte 2 Link to comment
cmoothart
Yeah, and don't give me some labyrinth to walk through. Strikethrough is fundamental to Word and blog programs. It should be with SquareSpace, too! mrwitte 1 Link to comment
Petre
Im Very disappointed in this as well! Where is the strikethrough button? I might move to unbounce pages if this keeps up.. Link to comment
