  6. I've been an avid user of Acuity since they were sending communications in the form of poetry and Gavin himself was emailing customers back on any questions or ideas they had to make Acuity better AND DID THEM. Prior to Acuity, I was copying and pasting the same "text reminders" to my clients of their appointments in my physical calendar. I spent considerable time searching for an alternative to this as it was decent work around but lacked certain functionalities I craved for. Then, I discovered Acuity, and I must say, it really was a game-changer for the scheduling world. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the dedication of its creator, Gavin and the whole team. I vividly recall witnessing the initial stages of its developmental uptick and exchanging emails with Gavin and the team, sharing ideas on how to tailor it to better serve the beauty industry. Acuity quickly gained momentum, and I became its enthusiastic advocate within the beauty community, even being invited to present it at various permanent makeup and lash events. There's even a podcast episode floating around somewhere, where I discussed Acuity's benefits for the permanent makeup world. Back then, you could just breeze through the paid subscription based on how many people joined by your recommendation. I felt as though I hardly ever paid then at that time, but did not mind if I did because it was an amazing product created by amazing people that cared. Having been in the permanent makeup and lash extension business since 2008, I found Acuity to be an essential tool for anyone in the beauty industry. Its customizable forms, photo uploads, license scanning, text, and email reminders were exactly what I needed. However, my enthusiasm waned when the frequency of updates decreased around a year or so before your acquisition of the platform. The once vibrant forum dedicated to user ideas fell silent. I still have the email from about a year before you acquired it, recommending how awesome it would be to have a "jump ahead" button so that we could choose to jump ahead a week or a month. Then, your acquisition happened. While I appreciate your efforts, I can't help but feel that Acuity is now merely a profit center, lacking the innovation and responsiveness it once had. It's disappointing to see that Acuity's interface hasn't kept pace with modern design trends. The inability to adjust column widths, cumbersome scrolling, lack of customizations, and lack of intuitive features are frustrating. Moreover, the absence of a notification history dropdown is baffling and severely impacts user experience. As a busy professional with a lengthy schedule, the current layout feels dated and inefficient. Simple enhancements, such as the ability to leave notes without endless scrolling, would greatly improve usability. Not once, in the many many years, had I ever thought I would replace Acuity, but today, for the very first time, I found myself researching reviews of competitors to see what alternatives are available, as it seems Acuity's situation is not improving. Furthermore, after visiting the Acuity website and seeing its modern and sleek appearance, including the visually appealing scheduling button that appears to be customizable, makes it's even more aggravating that Acuity isn't presented as a similarly updated platform. Instead, it remains visually stagnant, resembling the same outdated interface from its earlier years. In summary, while I acknowledge Acuity's strengths, it's evident that significant improvements are needed to meet the evolving needs of its users. I hope that you'll consider these suggestions and the massive amounts of awesome suggestions from others in this community to ensure that Acuity remains a valuable tool for professionals like myself in the beauty industry and the many more it serves. Did you know that Gavin used to hang out in the forums and respond to ideas? It's fascinating to see all the suggestions people are making here, because they're the same ideas many of us have had for years that have fell on Squarespace's deaf ears. All of that above was spit out by GPT (granted my words just better) which is something else that would be a nice little addition to our form creations or email responses. I love Acuity...I love it so much....but I feel you guys are not listening to its users and the awesome ideas we all present to you. You still are on top but soon, without much needed updates, I feel like Acuity will be ate up by other giants that listen to its users. For many of us, Vagaro is simply a "square checkout" away. Thank you and if you made it this far, I appreciate you reading. Roses are red Violets are blue How did you feel about this post? Would you leave us a clue?
  7. Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out if it's a good idea to move my online courses from Teachable to Squarespace. The biggest deciding factor for me is to figure out if Squarespace offers a solution for monitoring student progress through courses. I need to be able to tell if a student has completed all the course contents so that they can receive a certificate acknowledging they have completed the course. Additionally, it would be important for me to embed some basic quizzes into my courses to facilitate learning. Squarespace seems to recommend using code blocks to achieve this, but I'm not proficient in coding. Any thoughts or ideas? 🙂🙏
  8. Hey all, I am trying to figure out how to get rid of white space between my header and page. Initially it was a full image bleed from the first photo to the header but something happened and it changed! Please let me know if you have any solutions.

These models learn from the content of websites they scan, and use the data to improve the accuracy and general capabilities of their AI models. 14. Greetings, Amazing SS Community, Ishan here, representing Website Speedy Website Speedy is the ultimate solution for enhancing the loading speed of SquareSpace websites. While our product is relatively new in the market, we have already garnered a significant number of signups from satisfied Squarespace users who have experienced remarkable results. To experience the difference yourself, we invite you to try our 7-day free trial. No credit card is required. Claim your Free trial here Before delving into further details about me and our product, let me clarify how Website Speedy works- In simple terms, we tackle the issue of render-blocking elements, which is one of the primary factors affecting website performance. Our meticulously crafted scripts can be effortlessly added to the head section of your SquareSpace website. Our automatic script actively identifies and reorganizes any render-blocking elements on your site, thereby optimizing your website's performance. To fully grasp the concept, it's essential to understand what render blocking entails. Render blocking refers to the situation where certain resources, such as CSS or JavaScript files, hinder the rendering of a web page until they are fully loaded and executed. When a browser encounters these render-blocking resources, it must pause rendering the page and await the fetching, parsing, and execution of these resources before it can continue rendering the rest of the page. Render blocking can significantly impact website performance and user experience. It often leads to slower page load times, delayed content display, and an overall sluggishness. This issue is particularly critical for above-the-fold content, which refers to the portion of a web page visible to the user without scrolling. If render-blocking resources delay the rendering of above-the-fold content, it can leave a negative impression and hinder usability. Allow me to provide a brief introduction about myself and how our product was developed. In 2012, I founded a development and marketing firm called MakkPress Technologies. Since then, my team and I have assisted numerous brands with website development and performance optimization, specializing in SaaS platforms like Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce, Squarespace, and more. One of the most significant challenges faced by brands and businesses is the poor loading times experienced, especially on mobile devices. Speed optimization options are limited due to the restricted server access provided by most SaaS platforms. While you can optimize images, videos, and some JavaScript or CSS codes, major issues like render-blocking and core Web Vitals performance often remain unresolved. Over time, we have developed innovative ways to address this problem, and now we want everyone to benefit from what we have created. Thus, we launched the Website Speedy solution—an intuitive DIY SaaS tool that anyone can utilize. With Website Speedy, you can expect blazing-fast website loading times. Moreover, we are continually working on incorporating additional functionalities to further enhance your website speed. We sincerely hope you find value in our creation, and we eagerly await your thoughts and suggestions. Your feedback is vital to us. Best regards, Ishan Website Speedy Team

  22. Hi, How to create reusable blocks in SquareSpace site? Regards, George Jacob.
  23. A great new function has been added to the SquareSpace site called (Ready for pick up), under customer notification. Unfortunately some of the details don't apply to my business. I can add text but not subtract information in the mandatory box. How do i remove the mandatory box or information within it? i.e. The address and hours of collection. An example screen dump has been attached. I don't mind amending the HTML coding but can't find it.
  24. I'd like to know what Squarespace are doing about an eco policy and actions. Competitors such as WordPress hosts like Krystal and Green Geeks run on renewal energy hosting and I've yet to see anything from Squarespace on this, not even a clear message on the website. It's a huge sales point for my clients who come to me looking for climate effective solutions and I'm increasingly having to recommend WordPress as the better option simply because I can see the accountability that I can't get from Squarespace. I hope that there are plans - it's not acceptable if there aren't - to make changes soon or to share what those changes are if they've happened so that those of us who use Squarespace in our business can share that message. It's enough to offset, that's a support, but the change needs to happen at source and Squarespace seem to be completely off message or way behind on this. If I have missed any messaging, I'd appreciate a link.
  25. We’ve been collecting updates all month. Here’s everything that happened at Squarespace in December! We’ll be back in the new year with some more updates. Websites and domains Asset Library: A hub for your site’s photos, videos, and files A new Asset Library panel has been added to your Home Menu.
