  1. I have just finished building the bones for a new client website. He is a photographer who currently has a Wordpress site that he is not too happy with. He had it built and for some reason the builder will not load landscaped oriented images, among other problems. So he contacted me and asked if I would build him a site that he can then look after himself, after I finish it, upload his own images. He looked at mine, looked at the templates and choose Wexley, because he liked this site primarily which I built: https://christinegregoryphotography.com/ This is the new one, its not totally finished but some feedback would be appreciated password is wexley : https://mattrobphotography.squarespace.com/ and his current site is: https://www.mattrobphotography.com/. I tried to improve the look a bit. Thanks Derrick.
  2. Based on this Q&A: Why don’t clickthroughs work in Wexley? – I learned that in order to use clickthroughs, you have to create a page and then use elements that feed from a gallery, such as the Gallery Grid Block. To maintain the nice grid/layout styling of the Wexley template, I tried the Summary Block Wall layout instead, which created a great mosaic grid with clickthroughs included. The problem now is – it only loads 30 pieces from a gallery at a time. Does anyone have any experience loading more than 30 or of another workaround that would make all of this possible? Could it possibly be done with some kind of code injection? Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. Hi! I'm no good at coding so please bear with me 🙂 I'm using the following code to display captions on a gallery page, as I need the hover effect and image arrangement for a project. It does display the image captions fine, however their width is not very elegant. As I'm collecting people's testimonies it's supposed to tell their story, so I'd like to at least restrict the caption width to the image width so that it fits elegantly and, if possible, doesn't scroll. This is the code: .collection-type-gallery #slideshowWrapper .image-description { text-align: center; width: 100%; padding: 10px 0px 0; background: #fff; display: block; position: relative; bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 25px; } .collection-type-gallery #slideshowWrapper .sqs-gallery-design-stacked-slide img { max-height: 90%; margin: 0 auto !important; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; top: 0 !important; } Can anyone help? The page in question: https://www.nunoconceicao.com/portfolios/a-espera Every time you click an image it should show the image description with its width limited to the image size for easier readability and elegance, but instead it fits the screen. Better yet, if there was a way to elegantly wrap these two together and place the lightbox image and text side by side, with the text on the right and centering both on the screen it would be even better... I honestly can't decide. I think the first way would be simpler to implement?! This also does not work because the max-height:90% line does make the caption show but squashes the image, which for a photography website is not the best solution...
  4. Hi all! I'm hoping someone can provide me with the code I need. I use the Wexley template and have seen code for the brine family but not Wexley. I'm looking to add a background image to the footer section behind the newsletter signup. I'm looking to have the image fill the whole entire bottom and have the text for the newsletter be white, so that it will pop against an image background. I used this to get the image on the footer; however, it does not fill the whole footer, wide, full bleed. What should I adjust? footer#footer { background-image: url( insert here); background-position: center center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: cover; } Additionally, how can I make the newsletter text white, so that the text can be seen? Thanks!
  5. Site URL: http://www.rachaelrenee.photos Hi there, I am trying to code a button into my nav bar like the CTA button on some of the templates. I did this on a different template, so I took the code form there and have been trying to figure it out. I basically want it to be an outline button, but I haven't fully edited the code yet, because I can't seem to figure out how to make it apply to the last nav item. the "Book real estate photos" is the one I want to turn into a button. Help is appreciated! Here is the code ive been working with... with edits I made that dont work... /*contact button*/ #topNav .nav-item:last-child { background-color: #EDD59E; padding: 10px 10px; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: 2px 2px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.4) } .nav-item:last-child:hover { background-color: white; padding: 10px 10px; border-radius: 3px; }
  6. Hi, I am using the Wexley template on my website joshakatz.com I would like to know how to enable the site navigation links at the top of the page while in Lightbox mode and also to know how to enable captions when in Lightbox mode. I found a bit of CSS script that added the captions but the links I've created in the description of each image are not clickable when it's in use. My photography is mostly of bands/musicians and I use the descriptions to link to their personal websites.
  7. How do you make the gallery images the same size and height? Upon clicking, they reveal the actual size/dimension of the uploaded photo. Example here: http://www.nicolefranzen.com/
  8. Hello all, the close button in Lightbox view is way off in the upper right corner of the page header, often far away from anything else on the page. Visitors could have a hard even seeing it. I would like the X to be either: on the left side of the header (preferred solution) bigger Read something like "Close lightbox" instead of "X" Does anyone have a solution for this problem? for reference:http://martinkappler.com/military/ EDIT: The solution works but then another problem springs up: "Close lightbox" or whatever the button says is still visible in the mobile mode of the website. If someone has a solution to this please let us know.

  11. I know similar questions have been asked, but I haven’t found any answers yet. I’m using the Wexley template. All I want to do is give this gallery a couple lines of text between it and the navigation. Squarespace support’s answer was: Since you’re using a Gallery Page, you can’t insert extra content blocks. You could alternatively use a regular page for your gallery and then use Gallery Blocks and Text Blocks to accomplish a similar look to your home page, but you’ll lose the design aspects of the template specific Gallery Page. The only other way to accomplish this would be through CSS coding, which we don’t offer direct support for. You can try looking for some more guidance specific to your concern at answers.squarespace.com. So here I am. Any ideas?
