  1. Site URL: https://graphicstructures.squarespace.com/ I have successfully added a hover over effect on my blog masonry layout - https://graphicstructures.squarespace.com/projects (pass: preview) I now want to replicate the same effect on the homepage https://graphicstructures.squarespace.com/ (pass: preview) using the summary wall block. I am a bit stuck, can someone help? The code I am using for the blog is below: .blog-masonry .blog-item-summary { position: absolute !important; top: 50%; left: 50%; transform: translate(-50%, -50%); width: 100%; text-align: center; opacity: 0; transition: all .3s ease; height: 100%; } .blog-masonry .masonry-ready .entry.is-loaded:hover .blog-item-summary { cursor: pointer; opacity: 1; transition: all .3s ease; z-index:100; } .blog-masonry .masonry-ready .entry.is-loaded:hover img {opacity: 0.9;} .blog-masonry .blog-item-summary { display: flex; place-items: center; justify-content: center; } .blog-title {background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0); color:#000 !important;} .blog-title a:after { content:''; width: 100vw; height: 100vh; display: block; position: absolute; top: 50%; left: 50%; transform: translate(-50%,-50%); } .blog-item-summary { overflow:hidden; } .blog-item-content-wrapper { margin-left:-15px !important; margin-right:-15px !important; }
  2. Site URL: https://www.1fortheworld.org/ Our charity asks people to take a pledge to give 1% of their income to a vetted list of non-profits. I'd like to have a form on the website where people can 'make the pledge', and then their name appear on a page on the site. What's the best structure for this in SS? Ideally I'd like their name to be added automatically, rather than manually.
  3. Site URL: https://tarynjohnson.com/illustration I have a page on my website that is a gallery wall. I would like it to display 2 columns when in mobile view (currently it is 1 column). How can I do this? Thanks! (I realize this question has been asked many times - I've tried the code in some of the other responses and it didn't work. Thank you in advance!)
  4. Site URL: https://rizzoyoung.com/projects https://rizzoyoung.com/projects pwd: kayleighnoele Has anyone figured out a way to align the summary wall layout at the bottom as well as the top? It could be done with careful image sizing but want the clients to be able to add their projects and for everything to align automatically. Tried some flexbox but no dice...
  5. How can I format the preview blocks of a Summary Block in a Wall Layout so that they highlight with a background colour around the image and behind the text when you hover? The example goal is like in this site's blog summaries : https://textilesandmateriality.com/ I can't figure out the right CSS to make it happen.
  6. Site URL: https://wearenativ.squarespace.com/home-page Hello! I'm making a featured gallery using several summary blocks (as I want to be able to change the images featuring in the gallery based on tags). Because I'd like the product title and price to be visible on a mouse-hover, I've made 'title' and 'excerpt' visible for my galleries. However, doing this has knocked my once beautiful spacing between images out of whack in the wall-summary gallery (photo attached). Would love to be able to reduce the horizontal space between the images in my wall summary block so they match the rest of the gallery! Any help would be wonderful. Thanks!
  7. Site URL: https://wearenativ.squarespace.com/home-page Hello! I'm using three gallery blocks to create a masonry-style grid... Does anyone know how to reduce the padding/manipulate the images in the right-hand gallery to result in the second image? I'm going out of my mind... Thanks in advance! https://wearenativ.com/home-page
  8. Hi everyone, I'm curious to know if somebody has any coding ideas to achieve a similar look as the attached? Ignoring the background colour, I guess I'm seeing if it's possible to make it so the thumbnail images align (I typically use differing image ratios and don't plan on changing this) in height, and then the metadata and heading aligns. Thanks
  9. Site URL: http://www.zachaikaletschwartz.com/ Hey, I'm curious if there is anyway in Squarespace to create a page that operates like this wordpress page (http://offrampfilms.com/our-work/) which is using a wordpress template called Bramble. What frustrates me about Squarespace tabs is there don't seem to be any options for navigator tabs that don't refresh your page every time you click one. Performance wise, I'd be really interested in finding something on Squarespace that would do this. Thoughts?
  10. Hi, I was wondering if there was any way to have a Vimeo video autoplay in Summary: Wall? I have know I need to embed a video into a regular page with autoplay feature turned on, but seems like no way to have them autoplay in Summary: Wall? I did add the video in as an embedded file trough gallery, but seems my only option is if there was some code to enable it. Thanks for your help
  11. Site URL: https://www.geminiandthebear.com/galleries/2019/1/26/katie-james-wedding-atlanta-ga-1 I am trying to change up the way my galleries display on my site. I want to have a masonry look for my galleries. The best way of doing this I can come up with is creating a master gallery, and creating Wall Summary with tags to filter each gallery. I have done this and it looks correct when looking at it in my squarespace panel, but on the actual website browser it is not displaying correctly. I do use lazy summaries, but it works fine on my other sites. This one, not sure why it doesn't.
  12. Hi everyone: I want to use the Summary Block (Wall) function on Squarespace to display articles on my site's homepage. However, I have not used the Blog preset page function. So, I have put all of my articles into unlisted folders. Is it possible for the pages in these unlisted folders to be displayed on the Summary Block wall display? Or is there another way for unlisted pages to be displayed in a Summary Block, without using the blog function? Thanks so much!
  13. Site URL: http://www.elliottlacey.com/featured Does anyone know if it's possible to introduce cursor fade and transparent lightbox options on a Summary Wall gallery? I want to: a) Have a cursor fade appear when hovering through the gallery (before the user clicks through to view the images larger) b) Once the images have been clicked I would like the lightbox option to be white/transparent as opposed to the standard black it is now Not sure if its possible but any help would be very much appreciated!
  14. Site URL: https://www.nickdavid.co.uk/worknew Hi, I am having some issues figuring out why my code is not actively working on my site. It shows up in the CSS preview as working, but when I exit, non of the changes have taken place. I have tried putting !important on several code to try and force it to work, and I checked if there was any mistype error code. The only reason I can see now is that I have not named something properly. I am currently using Summary: Wall to feature all the images. I am trying to have text hover in middle, with gray hover over gradient and white background for the lightbox pop up. Please let me know if anyone has a an easy answer to why this is not working. Attached is the code and above is the page I am working on /* display title on hover*/ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-item .summary-title a{ background-color: transparent!important; opacity: 0 !important; color: #fff!important; position: absolute!important; left: 0!important; right: 0!important; top: 40%!important; margin-left: auto!important; margin-right: auto!important; } .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-item:hover .summary-title a{ background-color: transparent!important; opacity: 4!important; color: #000000!important; position: absolute!important; display: block!important; text-align: center!important; } /*style title font hover for summary wall block*/ .sqs-block-summary-v2 { .summary-title, .summary-heading { font-family: europa !important; font-weight: 600 !important; font-size: 20px !important; color: #33cccc !important; @media (max-width: 640px); font-size: 18px !important; ; } } /*eliminates white space between thumbnails*/ .summary-thumbnail-container, .summary-title { margin-bottom: 0 !important; } .sqs-lightbox-meta{ display: none!important; } .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-slideshow { background-color: white !important; opacity: 1 !important; }
  15. So, built out a summary, got the sizing all right, looked great and everything and then when I clicked save, it gave me this. Wasted time is nemesis of creativity. I haven't had this many issues in SS since version 1. 7.0 was so much more stable. Yet another bug.
