  3. Site URL: https://yellow-hawk-8aef.squarespace.com/ Hello, My homepage has full-bleed images on hover. I've managed to make the header transparent but the footer shows up with a white opaque background. How can I make it transparent so it has the same background as the rest of the page and doesn't look like a distinct block? If that isn't a possibility, how do I reduce the height of the footer so it's only as high as the text and not a big white block? Please help!

  5. I'm trying to use image stacks with PNGs, but Squarespace is adding a faint color behind them. I tried testing all of the different image blocks and inline was the only one that didn't put a color behind the images (but it squished them). What is the issue here? Just a bug?

  8. Site URL: https://shark-clementine-5jph.squarespace.com/portfolio .portfolio-overlay { background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #ffffff00 50%, #000000)} I'm trying to have a black gradient that fades to transparent on the portfolio grid overlay. But the existing overlay prevents #FFFFFF00 from being transparent (it's just showing as white (#FFFFFF). Any help is greatly appreciated. And please let me know if I can provide any other info. 10. Hi everybody. I'm working on a site with a dark homepage banner image that allows for the logo/nav/social to "float" in the header on top of it, and I can achieve this effect easily enough by setting the Header: Layout settings to "bottom". For the interior pages, however, the banner images are not able to accommodate the logo/nav/social so I would like to have that content contained in a visible header bar, with the banner image beneath. I've looked through the forums here and found things that are similar to what I'm looking for, but not quite. I tried to execute something from a foru

  13. Site URL: https://elkebruiloft.squarespace.com/ Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to make my navigation header + logo transparent. I've searched on the forum and on plenty of other websites, but it doesn't work out and I would love to have a slideshow behind. P.S somehow I don't know where to change the width of the website anymore, I've changed something but can't find where. I want to start the website like 10px off the left and right side. Thanks in advance!
  14. Site URL: https://www.thiscitymaps.com/ How do I change the background of the text so that it is opaque instead of transparent. When I click the dropdown for the menu on the side it shows up like this and is hard to read. Note : this only occurs in mobile or when you have the browser window small enough that the pages do not have room to display at the top of the page. I am using the Hester template in 7.1
  15. Site URL: https://silver-porcupine-gp5t.squarespace.com Hello Squarespace Community, I am building a site using version 7.1 and am very close to finishing it! One of my last orders of business is to add a gradient to the navigation bar. The catch is that I want the nav bar to be transparent at the top of the page and then the gradient to show up when you start scrolling on the page. The gradient should fade from orange (#FF8700) on the left to bright yellow on the right (#F7FF00). Any help is much appreciated!
  16. Hi There, I've tried everything I could find on this forum, google and youtube and still can't get my dropdown header to be transparent. Any ideas on what else I could try? None of the custom CSS codes I've tried are working. See below (I want the black dropdown background to be completely transparent) I'm using gradient background colours throughout so it's not as easy as matching the background colour to the dropdown colour.
  17. Site URL: https://wb-innovation.squarespace.com/whats-appning Hi guys I've been through several threads which respond to this question, but can't seem to find a solution to work on my page. I've applied a transparent header on all my main pages which have an image in the banner immediately below. This is fine across all the pages except for the blog posts which I am unable to add a banner to, meaning my white logo is now invisible on these pages. I'm looking to insert a custom code to change the heading background colour on the blog posts only to blue, as to be able to see/re
