  1. I'm using weglot to translate my site in to Korean. I am having an issue where Korean words are being split up across lines. On the English version of the site, line breaks always occur between words - but in Korean line breaks are occurring between characters. Where the line breaks depends on the browser window size, as the responsive text feature adjusts the text. Anyone have a solution to prevent Korean words from being split across lines? url is https://www.thefootprintbook.com/
  2. The experience with Weglot has been extremely frustrating. Many poor translations, and very disapointing user experience. When I try to update them, many of them will not update at the Squarespace website.
  3. Site URL: https://naonow.com/ Hello! I was wondering how to get our weglot translation button to show up in mobile (which shows up on desktop/computer right now)? Hoping to resolve this as soon as possible! @tuanphan @rwp @yoshe Thanks! https://naonow.com/ https://naonow.squarespace.com/config/
  4. Hi everyone, Well, the title kinda says it all. But here are some explanations: I would like to create a copy of each page for each language manually (I already have the translations & I don't exactly want a direct translation anyhow, English and Korean don't really translate well to each other). I also want a user to be able to click on the language button on the top of the website to change the language, and immediately get the same page for their preferred language. Is there a way to do this? It really has to be codeless, or otherwise some short simple code that won't need to be touched when changes are made in the future (including when adding new pages or functionality to the site). This is needed since I probably won't be around to maintain the website in a year or so, and future maintainers probably won't know how to code (it has to do with volunteering, so you get who you can get).
  5. Site URL: http://www.decarbonaid.com Hi there. I'm trying to simplify the language names to 2 initials, but only the main language (Deutsch --> DE) changes on Squarespace. English stays with the full name. I've done the change in the settings on Weglot's website. Any clue? Thanks, Joniel
  6. Site URL: http://cephtactics-dental.com Hey, Does anyone know how to add google translate to the top of the website to change all pages to a particular language? Thank you 🙂
  7. Site URL: https://accordion-sturgeon-8hx5.squarespace.com/ Hello. I am considering migrating an existing site from Wordpress to Squarespace. It is critical that our clients can translate the content. It was easy to do in Wordpress. How do I accomplish it in Squarespace? I do not wish to maintain multiple pages in different languages, just wish to add a button for users to translate as they wish.
  8. Site URL: https://vatnaaskirke.squarespace.com/kalender Hello everybody, I would like some help with translating into Norwegian, - the month on the calendar - day + month on the single events On page: https://vatnaaskirke.squarespace.com/kalender PW 3355 Thank you in advance!
  9. Site URL: https://www.aiesec.ca/ I have been trying to set up Weglot with my site, but whenever I translate to french, the scrolling banner on the home page gets muddled up or has weird spacing, unless you minimize then maximize the screen. Squarespace said they can't help since it is a coding issue, but when I tested the CSS codes there weren't any changes. Could someone please help me figure out how to fix the design issue with the translator? Thank you
  10. Hello, I am looking for a solution to integrate a translation with Deepl on my website. Do you know if this is possible? Thank you in advance.
  11. Site URL: https://magnolia-badger-7teg.squarespace.com/config/ One of our team members has a German last name that translates to an english word. Each time I try to type their name, Squarespace automatically translates it to the English word. Any fixes for this?
  12. The word "Ma" is translated to "Maman" which means "Mom" in english. "Ma" is an abbreviation for "Mardi" that means "Tuesday" in english. Got the same problem with "Me" translated to "Moi" instead of "Mercredi (Wednesday)" If someone knows how can I correct this, I'm kind of lost how I could manage that. Squarespace could not help because it's a coding injected on the site (Setmore). The translation is provided by SquareSpace though. Setmore is a scheduling software that I use, and using the word "Mom" and "Me" instead of Tuesday and Wednesday is pretty annoying.
  13. Site URL: http://talktoloop.org Hello. I have built a website for the charity I work for, Talk To Loop. I have used Weglot to offer translation into French, Spanish and Bahasa (Indonesian). These all work fine. But I also wanted translation into Arabic. Unfortunately, although Weglot's Arabic translation was fine, Squarespace doesn't support right to left scripts, so the formatting, punctuation, and meaning, went completely wrong. The plan now i to create a duplicate of the site exclusively in Arabic... but I need to find some css solution to ensure that the duplicate (Arabic) site will correctly format right to left. If anyone can advise that would amazing. Thank you.
  14. Site URL: https://elk-grapefruit-pwnk.squarespace.com/ Hello, I'm duplicating all content on my client's website (https://elk-grapefruit-pwnk.squarespace.com/ PW: Luma) so that they can have versions in multiple languages. I can see how to duplicate all page types, including individual Blog Posts, but can't find a way to duplicate an entire Blog Collection. Alternatively, if I were to rebuild the Blog Landing Page, is it possible to move a Post from one Blog Collection to another? Thank you!
  15. Site URL: https://cahcal-fr.squarespace.com/ I'm having difficulty with translating the month in my calendar on my website. I've changed the language setting in the navigation, which translated majority of the website to French, however, it did not translate the month on my calendar page. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Calendar Page: https://cahcal-fr.squarespace.com/calendrier Pass: cahcal
  16. HELP! I'm having problems with date. My site is in Finnish, and I don't want to hide months. I'd like to show a number instead of month: e.g. 12.3.2021. How I can make this happen? Blog summary blockId":"6fef3f5ae4cc9f0a1af1 blogs <time class="Blog-meta-item Blog-meta-item--date" datetime="2020-12-08" id="yui_3_17_2_1_1613466147605_439">8 December 2020</time> and blog page <time class="Blog-meta-item Blog-meta-item--date" datetime="2020-12-08">8 December 2020</time> Best regards, Katja
  17. Site URL: https://naonow.squarespace.com/config/?frameUrl=/ 1)) Is there a way to make our translation button in MOBILE MODE more prominent on our site? 2) Does anyone know how to get our URL ko.naonow.com back https://naonow.com/ https://naonow.squarespace.com/config/?frameUrl=%2F @tuanphan
  18. Site URL: https://giraffe-bear-gze6.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi there, I used the English version of the template ALMAR PAR DÉMO JESSICA to create my website. I just realized that there is a French template that I should have used since my main audience is French. I already done some work on the website and don't want to redo. I'm wondering if there is a way to just translate the whole site into French or if I MUST switch to the French one? If that's the case how do I move my subscription from the English to the French template? Thanks very much for your help.
  19. Site URL: https://lifelab.world/de/home/ Hello everyone, I am a bit stuck on updating the Newsletter placeholder on the footer section on the German page as I wanted to update the "Email Address" to just the word "Email". I have been using these code; <script> if (document.querySelector("div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1645010424154_28369")) { document.querySelector('.newsletter-form-field-element[name="email"]').placeholder='E-post'; } </script> and this <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $("div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1645010424154_28369 .newsletter-block .newsletter-form-field-element").attr('placeholder','Email'); }); </script> I injected and tried one, but both did not work. I just done research and applied the block yui of that specific newsletter block on the footer. Thank you in advance!
  20. Site URL: https://www.ryggrorelsen.se/ Hi! I am using the weglot widget to translate my website. The standard setting is to have the translation option as a floating block in the right bottom corner. However, I would like to have the "language flags" in the header menu next to the social media icons instead of it floating on the webpage. Does anyone know how to customize the code for it? Now I injected the following code, which weglot provided (settings-advanced-inject code-header): <script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdn.weglot.com/weglot.min.js"></script> <script> Weglot.initialize({ api_key: 'wg_6b9d752da6371f235fd388629481ee8b4' }); </script> Thanks for your help!
  21. Hi everyone, Hope someone can help. I want to change de default error message that appears in the Form Block (please see the attached image), because in my language the sentence is not well constructed in grammatical terms, that is, it is not well translated. It's possible to change this? Perhaps with code? Thanks, Tiago
  22. Site URL: http://www.craguncounseling.com My site was created for me and now I'm working on it/fixing it up. I want to get rid of the translate button on the bottom left of the site. I have no idea how. Can anyone help? Thank you!
  23. Site URL: https://sepia-mouse-arn5.squarespace.com/ Hi all, I used some code I found on Google to translate my Dutch website to English (through a Google Translate widget). It works perfectly and it does translate my Dutch content to English. However, I wish to add an option in the list to switch back to the original language. Could somebody please help me with that? Password: soulistic123 Code I used: Javascript: <script> var GoogleLanguages = 'en' </script> <div id="google_translate_element"></div> <script src="//translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script> <script> function googleTranslateElementInit() { new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'nl', includedLanguages: GoogleLanguages, layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE, autoDisplay: false}, 'google_translate_element'); } </script> <script src="https://storage.googleapis.com/squarestylist/translate-style.js"></script>
  24. Site URL: https://chattah4nevada.com I am trying to set up a button which would change the English text on my website into Spanish text. Another website (https://www.youngkinforgovernor.com/) does this very well. Any assistance or guidance would be well appreciated!
  25. Is there any way to show the checkout page in different languages? I know it's possible to translate it from the Settings menu, but then I have to choose one single language. I've checked Weglot but it looks like they've found a solution to translate all the pages but the checkout page. Is there any code that I could inject to do so? Any help will be truly appreciated. Thanks!
