  1. Site URL: https://www.renovationsells.com/shop-design-boards/monroe-bath Hello! Your help is much appreciated. I am using a tool called Unbounce to create landing pages for our digital products. You can view the draft version of a landing page here: http://unbouncepages.com/bathroom-design-boards/. We will run an ad campaign on Instagram/Facebook that drives users to the product landing page where they can learn about the product, click through to a product page on our Sqaurespace site, and purchase the download. To properly track these conversions, I need to inject a bit of script before the </body> tag on my final conversion pages. A few questions: 1. Would the final conversion page be the product page? or the order confirmation page? 2. How do I add the script before the </body> tag on these pages? Here is the script I need to inject for tracking: <script type="text/javascript"> var _ubaq = _ubaq || []; _ubaq.push(['trackGoal', 'convert']); (function() { var ub_script = document.createElement('script'); ub_script.type = 'text/javascript'; ub_script.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://' : 'http://') + 'd3pkntwtp2ukl5.cloudfront.net/uba.js'; var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ub_script, s); }) (); </script>
  2. Hi all, I'm working with a client, trying to track Google Ad conversions through Google Tag Manager (GTM) on a form (donation form) which is in an iFrame. The form is set up though provided embed code. GTM is set up and working on the site itself. No matter what I try, I can't get GTM to recognize anything in the form. I've tried adding the GTM code into the code block in various places (before the iFrame code, after, etc.). I've tried getting GTM to look for specific text or changes in the form (once the donation is complete), but I don't think that GTM is recognizing the form at all. On the backend, where the form is created, there's no option to add GTM or any tracking code. Hoping someone has some suggestions. Thanks in advance!!
  3. Site URL: https://www.corepipe.com Good morning! We are using Squarespace as our primary website and then have a Magento site for our e-commerce needs. In menu of our Squarespace site we have a "Shop" button that links to the Magento site and opens a new window. In Google Analytics I'm seeing a lot of visits coming to our site and staying on the home page. My assumption is that these visitors are coming to the site and then promptly clicking "Shop" and going to the Magento site. I want to know for sure, so I'm hoping to track clicks on the "Shop" button, but Google Tag Manager needs me to add code after the beginning of the <body> tag, and it doesn't appear as though I can do this through the Code Injector feature. Both sites were setup by third parties before I got here and I'm hoping to avoid needing to spend money using them. Any methods or workarounds to accomplish what I'm trying to? Any help is appreciated!
  4. So I tried really hard to figure this out by searching everywhere online but I couldn't find anything. How do you set up the tracking template in Google Ads with Squarespace's URL Builder? I put what Squarespace gave me for the "Tracking Template" but Google said it contains invalid characters. What should I put in the "Final URL suffix"? What should I put in the "Custom parameters"? If someone can help, I would be very grateful!
  5. When pasting active campaign code into the code injection where exactly should I be pasting it. I'm told in the footer but where exactly in the footer. ActiveCampaign says: " For Site Tracking to work, you need to paste the tracking code that we provide into each page of your website. In general, we recommend placing the code in the footer as this is the easiest way of having site tracking work on all pages. However, you will need to review the documentation provided by your Content Management System (CMS) to make sure the placement of the code is correct. In addition, they may provide a solution that allows you to only paste the code once, and have it display on all pages. " I attached a picture of the website's current footer code. Should I just hover my mouse after </script> on line 34, enter once to line 35 and then just paste on line 35?
  6. Site URL: https://www.nblexpress.com/ Hi everybody, I own a website https://www.nblexpress.com/ with Mobile Information Bar switched on, I am running adwords advertising for my site and wish to track the Mobile Information Bar buttons especially the email and call buttons, is GTM possible for such tracking? 7. Site URL: https://www.anxietyempire.com/ Hi, I have some free resources on my site for people to download. I would like to keep track of the numbers of downloads. (But i would rather people don't need to enter any personal details to be able to download anything - so would like just a tracker of the number of downloads) Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated, Thanks, Zoë
  8. Site URL: http://www.cultcoffee.co Hello- I'm having trouble tracking purchase conversions through Google Analytics. We put in our GA account ID in the 3rd Party API section (see pic) and we are tracking, bounce rates, clicks, behavior on the website etc. etc. but it's not tracking any purchases. Ecommerce tracking is also turned on in Google Analytics. Any advice on this would be great appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Hey! I'm working on a client site, partnering up with an agency to set the Analytics side of things. They just told me that Google Analytics is not logging usage data from the site when it's accessed through Google Ads. The agency suggests it has something to do with the robots.txt file. They ended up sending me a default one for adding up to the site but I don't know whats really happening or even if that is the actual problem. Can someone point me some way to resolve this? Thanks a bunch!
  10. Site URL: https://www.measurit.com Hi. I used a Chrome extension SEO checker tool (Meta SEO Inspector) on my website today and it identified an image without an alt attribute that was very strange. It is a 1x1 pixel image with a source url of https://dashboard.whoisvisiting.com/who.ashx?Type=Hit&Data=1920|1200||98fb333111a1471c93eb06c8db5d0e56|https%3A%2F%2Fwww.measurit.com%2F When I looked into this it appears to be a site visitor tracking tool - but you need an account and to install their code in your website header to do the tracking. I haven't done this obviously. If I look at "view source" I can't find this url on the page. I'm concerned that I have some "foreign" code on my site. I've tried asking Squarespace but the customer service agent blamed it on my Hotjar code or my FrontApp chat app script in the code injection section and said they don't support code injection issues. He didn't differentiate between the 2 and frankly I wasn't convinced he knew what he was talking about. I'm not a coder and don't have the expertise to take this further. Am I worried over nothing? Thanks for any advice offered.
  11. Site URL: https://www.thedesignemotive.com Hi everyone, On my website I have 'spots' which I want to eventually use to sell to advertisers, which are images in a gallery and inserted into my website through Gallery blocks. This way I can control the creative for my website, and there aren't any ugly Google Ads on my site. Right now I don't have any advertisers on board, so instead I'm using these spots to promote things like my YouTube channel, new articles, etc. I want to figure out how to track the number of clicks each banner and sidebar 'ad' gets, and want to keep it as in-house as possible. I know I could sign up to a service that can track the clicks, but I want to see how I could do it natively. I tried doing URL redirects, so that the image clickthrough URL is to a page like /banner-a-track-clickthrough and then I redirect that URL to the true URL.. However that involves 'killing' the initial page and I can't see it /banner-a-track-clickthrough on my Google Analytics. Does anyone have any ideas? Worst case scenario, I will consider services that can track the clicks, so if you do have recommendations, please let me know.
  12. We connected Squarespace to our Google Analytics property using the plug in in Squarespace. Once we did it though we realized that transactions were not tracked and so we put a code in the code injection section, to record transactions in Analytics. Everything is working properly now but this set up doesn’t allow us to keep track on analytics of the products purchased. We can see a transaction but we can’t see which were the products in the basket. In the previous version of the website tracking was also set up with the automatic plug-in in Squarespace with no need for a code injected in the thank you page and the client had track of all the different products. Our question therefore is: Is it normal that connecting Analytics to Squarespace with the plug-in transactions are not tracked? If not, what’s the issue here? If instead this is something normal, how can we keep track of the products purchased on Analytics?
  13. I have a problem with finding the right place to install Google Adwords conversion tracking codes on my contact form page. Google requires the code to be placed directly above the closing tag.I know Code Injection is not appropriate in this case, and I tried Code Block as directed here (http://help.squarespace.com/guides/using-the-code-block) and tried every available spot on the page but still cannot find the exact place where the code should be installed.Does anyone know how I can install the tag just above the closing tag?Thank you for your help in advance!
