  1. To ensure I abide by UK GDPR laws, I need a compulsory checkbox at checkout with hyperlinked terms of service and privacy policy. The options are either a pop out box which links to the policies, but these is no checkbox option. OR I can add a custom checkout option but I can't hyperlink and can't use HMTL to hyperlink either. Is there custom code I could use to do this? I've attached an image of the exact type of compulsory checkbox I require - funnily enough it was included when I signed up to the Squarespace forum so is a good example. Squarespace use it themselves but can't provide it as standard! Any help would be greatly apreciated
  2. Site URL: http://www.readysteadypass.co.uk (site not yet live) Hi everyone, Does anyone know how I can add a checkbox to agree to Ts & Cs for accessing a Members Area? I can't see an obvious way and it's pretty critical. Any ideas?
  3. Site URL: https://www.tealcanvas.com/ Hi Squarespace pros! We have a site that will launch within the next week or two. In our service, we need a pop up that includes our terms of service that a visitor must check a box to agree in order to work with us (a clickwrap). Unfortunately, squarespace does not offer this as a native feature. Has anyone any experience in this that may be able to help. We are still password protected.... Tealcanvas0202. We have been advised that a clickwrap rather than a browsewrap is key to protect us as a business.
  4. Hi Everyone, we are a small charity is Australia and we are trying to activate a squarespace charity account with no luck at all via email. We are curious to hear about the experience for others in this regard. We were told Squarespace supported charities and not for profits, and that is why we started an account. This discussion has been going round and round and makes no sense to us at all. Many not for profits in Australia are not GST registered. Squarespace say they are trying to support charity and not for profits as they are the little orgs doing good work, right? Well, little orgs do not need to register for GST in Australia. So unless they are only trying to support big business this makes no sense? How do we activate our charity account without registering for GST? What is the point of supporting charities if it is only open to exclusive charities with massive incomes that are legally required to register for GST due to their huge earnings. We are a very small charity and no charity or business in Australia is legally required to register for GST until they earn over $AU250,000 - i.e. No Australian business, and especially charities, who earn less than this registers for GST as the headache simply isn't worth it. We as an organisation are finding this very frustrating. Is there a contact phone number for Squarespace in Australia, so we can actually talk this out and explain how nonsensical this is?
  5. Site URL: https://www.aulddistillery.co.nz/auld-store/harvest-cask Hi, we're getting this product set up for a new distillery in New Zealand. Their first product is a cask of whisky. There's a whole heap of terms and conditions that need to agreed to before purchase, but there doesn't seem to be a way to say anything like "by agreeing to this purchase I agree to all the terms and conditions". Or a click box to agree and then be allowed to purchase. Is there anyway to add that functionality. Thanks Jamie
  6. Site URL: https://www.frillup.ch/cart As you all know that squarespace doesn't give option to check the box whether terms and conditions have been read before proceeding the checkout. I injected a code that showed a line," By continuing to checkout, you have read and agreed to our terms and condiotions" both on pc screen and phone. This was working perfectly fine until few days ago I applied a code on my home page for fetching the customer reviews from google- https://www.frillup.ch/. Now this terms and conditions line has disappeared from the shopping cart page. What can I do? The code that I applied was as follows: <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('.CartFooter-checkout-28MW2').append('<div class="tuan"> By continuing to checkout, you have<br/>read and agreed to our <strong><a style="color: #7a6e65;" href="https://frillup.ch/terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Terms and Conditions</a></strong></div>'); }); </script> <style> .tuan { display: block; height: auto; text-align: left; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: transparent; font-size: 1.1rem; line-height: 1.5em; margin-top: -82px; margin-bottom: 300px; } </style>
  7. I am going to build a pop-up window for terms of use in one page. Basically, when user enter this page, the pop-up window will pop up and background is grey out. User has to read all the content and click agree to use this page or cancel to leave this page. I am currently using promotion pop-up setting in Marketing. But serval drawbacks for this: 1, when I click out side of the pop-up window, the box closed; 2, close button always there; 3, I can't adjust the format of content. I guess this function designed for promotion using, not for other pop-ups. But do anyone know any method to help me build a terms of use pop up window. I am open to any methods (coding or build-in function) Thank you very much for the help.
  8. I've figured out how to add our contract (for our services) to the checkout page, but I would like to have it so that the customer needs to sign off on it before they place their order.
  9. Hi All, Is there a way to control the font size of the terms and conditions, privacy policy and copyright line? And make it smaller than the rest of the copy in the footer? Future big ol' thank you for anyone who can solve this!
  10. Hi I have been trying for weeks now to get a direct answer, for a simple question, from support, with frustrating results. Does Squarespace collect any information, personal or otherwise, from me or my website visitors, and share or sell to third parties for any reason but, specifically for targeted advertising? Pretty straightforward question right? But the only thing I get back from support is links to their Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Data Processing, etc. I’ve read through all of those. If the answer is buried in there somewhere I am unable to suss it out. The legalese hurts my head. Is Squarespace trying to hide the answer? Or are their support people really so unqualified as to not know the answer? Or are legally restricted from giving me a clear answer? Can anyone out there give me a straightforward answer to this straightforward question, please? Thanks, David
  11. Site URL: https://www.joinwavelength.com/affiliate-signup I'm trying to create a scrolling box in my form with terms and conditions in it, followed by a checkbox where someone checks "I agree." Right now, I'm getting around this by having a text box filled with the terms and conditions as placeholder text. However, of course, if someone typed anything in the box, the terms and conditions would vanish. Is there a way to put the terms and conditions as the description for the following block (which is a checkbox), but then format it so it's a scrolling block, rather than an extremely long piece of stagnant text.
