  1. Hi, Does anybody know how to hide the tags on a blog post when using the "Foundry" theme? I've tried various custom css strings that I managed to find in other places of the forum, with no luck unfortunately. I'm guessing this was due to themes being varied, so they won't use the same class names etc, but it would be a big help if anybody is able to provide some support with this current issue, I'm not sure why somebody would want meta tags displayed publicly like that anyway, it makes the post look messy. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello. My website is a cross stitch supply store. In it I sell charts from many different designers. I have my product pages separate for each designer. Those designers have different themed pieces... such as Halloween or Christmas. What I am trying to do is create a page where all the similar themed designs come together no matter which designer. So lets say a Christmas page where all designs in the Christmas Category will show. I understand that for some un-user friendly reason Squarespace does not have "universal" categories throughout the site, so for each new product page I have to create a new Christmas Category. Because of this, short of duplicating each and every product that falls under Christmas, and therefore technically two separate products, I cannot figure out a way to bring them all together. I figure I must be missing something as this should be quite an easy thing to do. Just a page that displays a search result for the Christmas category. My website is www.crossstitchboutique.com. I currently do not use tags because I really do not understand the difference between the two and how one has a different use from the other. If I give it a Christmas tag is there a way to get a search result product page? I just cannot figure this out. Thank you. Jennifer
  3. Hi guys, I would love to know if there is a way to customize the tags. I use Rally and would love to put the Text not above the Title but after my whole blog post like it is common in Tudor. Is there a way to do that? Thank you for your help!
  4. I'm managing a website for an organization with many categories and tags. I've always hated squarespace's way of selecting categories and tags, but I use squarespace everyday so I put up with it. However, others in my organization are going to start accessing the blog to recategorize and retag over 300 posts and their job is going to be much more tedious because of the horrible user experience compared to WordPress (which they are familiar with). For tags, you have to type in the first few letters instead of just being able to look at a list and click previously used tags. If you add multiple tags, it becomes difficult to scroll through and see what you've added because the text is so tiny. The text is also tiny with categories, making it difficult to add and select, especially when the list gets big. Squarespace - please fix this! It shouldn't be a pain to add categories and tags to a post. It should be a seamless, easy process.
  5. Hi, I'm looking to add tags under each page icon so that people can easily tell what kind of projects each page links to. I know it's possible in the blog section, but is it possible to do on this page (formatted as a collection index)? Would it require custom coding? Thanks!
  6. I may be missing something but is it possible to add tags to a 'plain' page? It seems only possible in a blog post or product page... Just curious!
  7. Hi, Is it possible to download the metadata from your blog to do an analysis on the most used tags/categories and compare with views ? Thanks, Chris
  8. Google Search Console is flagging increasing number of pages on my website with the message "The tag ‘img’ should be replaced with an equivalent ‘amp-img’ tag". The pages being flagged are old blog posts from many years ago but which are still getting traffic. Obviously they weren't AMP optimised back then and the problem is arising now as those pages get freshly crawled. Is this a problem that can be easily fixed or will I need to hire a freelancer? I'm reasonably proficient with SS but I don't have sufficient technical knowledge to do backend work on my site.
  9. Hi, all - wondering if it's possible to display tags for a blog post in addition to/separately from other metadata (e.g. category, date), and elsewhere on the page. Context: I'm using the Brine template. Under "Site Styles," you can set "primary" and "secondary" metadata to display on any given post — and you can only display two metadata types. By default, those two pieces of metadata display under the blog post title, as below (here, I'm displaying Categories and Date). Question: What I'm wondering is — is it possible to, in addition to the "Primary" and "Secondary" metadata you can set in Site Styles, display a third metadata type (e.g. tags), elsewhere on the page (e.g. at the bottom of the post)? I'd love to be able to have a display at the bottom of a post, near the previous/next links and social share buttons, that lists the post tags (e.g. Tagged under: Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3). Is it possible?
  10. Hello all, I have a site with two languages on same template. I'm in the process of adding hreflang tags but my translated pages still have HTML language in original language. My site is in ENG, but is there a way I can override this global setting and give page it's own HTML lang setting? Been looking for a fix but can't find one. Andrew
  11. I'd like to place a few Categories into a folder, and have the Main Link (the Folder itself) actually link to a Category too. How is that possible? Example: I need the Folder Link (Decorate) to actually take people to the Category for Decorate so I don't have to list it inside of the Folder. So basically my question is how do I turn the Folder Link into an actual link? I saw your other thread about this but it doesn't work if the links are External Links, which these are... Thanks!
  12. I have imported my Tumblr site onto a blog page, and I’ve noticed how unnecessary the tags seem in this format. Is there some code I can use somewhere to hide them? Does anyone have any idea what code I could try and where I should put it? Thank you.
