  1. Hi there! I’m trying to create a summary block that points readers/users to other parts of my website. I have article pages, but they’re not designed as blog posts. I don’t have blog posts or products. Does anyone know how to create a summary block that points to regular pages of my site? In case it’s helpful, I’m using a 7.1 template. Thank you!
  2. Hi, I'd like to add little banners to the pricing table I've created via a summary-list at on of the places indicated by the pink arrows (for all items). I'm talking about hints like "best for independent learners" or "best for ... " which is common in pricing tables. I haven't found any suitable solution for this so far. page: https://luxlessons.lu/luxembourgish-language-course pw: abc143
  3. I need help with a code to change the arrow style and to move them, can anybody help me put this code together, I'm struggling to figure this out. ☹️ This is what I have so far: https://piccolo-antelope-5p6t.squarespace.com/you This is what I'm trying to achieve: This is the code I have so far; .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-block-setting-design-carousel .summary-carousel-pager { float: none; width: 90px; position: absolute; bottom: -12%; left: 50%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%); transform: translate(-50%); -webkit-box-pack: center; -ms-flex-pack: center; justify-content: center; z-index: 9; } .sqs-gallery-design-carousel .sqs-gallery-controls .next::before { color: #000; padding: 12px; } .sqs-gallery-design-carousel .sqs-gallery-controls .previous::before { color: #000; padding: 12px;} Here are arrow links https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5c1b99c7a9e02801f6c9b9d0/t/5f7ecb8774815b7a1d7b677d/1602145159916/arrow-left-testimonials-6.png https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5c1b99c7a9e02801f6c9b9d0/t/5f7ecb98f9dae72f09a0ad46/1602145176384/arrow-right-testimonials-6.png
  4. Hey there, I have a few questions for whoever can assist! I appreciate your time 🙂 I am trying to achieve a similar carousel that Patagonia has going on. This is the link https://www.patagonia.com/stories/ I am wanting to move my arrows for my summary block carousel to look and function the same way Patagonia has theirs. I have most of the code in place, but it seems like I can't get my arrows in the right spot and the right arrow seems to be running into the container, resulting in it being cut off. Below is my code. Secondly, I am wanting to achieve the same single-scolling left-to-right that you can experience here: https://www.patagonia.com/stories/ Mine moves entirely instead of one column at a time. I am also looking to implement a color hover effect to the arrows. I am wanting it exactly as I have my scrolling up button in the bottom right hand of the website when you scroll down enough. I am having a hard time targeting and adding that hover affect to them. Here is the direct link to the page: https://commongroundbend.org/our-journal and the password to see it is "helpme" .................................... Here's my code so far: .sqs-gallery-design-carousel .sqs-gallery-container { overflow: visible; } //Summary carousel arrows .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-block-setting-design-carousel .summary-carousel-pager { float: none; width: 100%; position: absolute; bottom: 35%; left: 51%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%,-50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%,-50%); transform: translate(-50%,-50%); -webkit-box-pack: justify; -ms-flex-pack: justify; justify-content: space-between; z-index: 9; } .sqs-gallery-design-carousel .sqs-gallery-controls .next::before { background-color: #8abcce; color: #000; font-size: 20px !important; cursor: pointer; font-weight: bold; padding:24px 24px 24px 24px; border-radius: 50%; box-shadow: 1px 4px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } .sqs-gallery-design-carousel .sqs-gallery-controls .previous::before { background-color: #8abcce; color: #000; font-size: 20px !important; color: #171717; cursor: pointer; font-weight: bold; padding:24px 24px 24px 24px; border-radius: 50%; box-shadow: 1px 4px 5px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); }
  5. Site URL: https://rumahkeduamedia.com is it possible to make the layout summary on the desktop remain as it is today, while on the mobile it changes to 1 part because the current summary when opened on mobile is very small and uncomfortable when pressing the arrow, except for the summary type list
  6. Site URL: https://paloma-contreras-design.squarespace.com/ Is there a way to have the buttons on a summary block link out to an external URL instead of the internal blog page? https://paloma-contreras-design.squarespace.com/publications Pwd: PCD I'd like the button "Buy the Book" to link out to purchase the book.
  7. Hi, Is there a way to auto play and auto loop a summary block carousel? Right now I have it auto playing but it doesn't auto loop. The code below is what I am using. Thank you. <script> window.onload = function() { var nextArrow = document.querySelector(".summary-carousel-pager-next"); function clickNext() { nextArrow.click(); } setInterval(clickNext, 3000); }; </script>
  8. Site URL: https://cowbell-collie-fwyy.squarespace.com/projects Pwd: SiteTest1234 Hi there! I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with this: Is there a way to remove the buttons on a summary block and instead have each image link to another page/URL that I can set? So that each image is clickable in place of the buttons that would typically be below the image. I've set them up on the page linked above, however, they currently don't function as intended - i.e. can't be clicked. Ideally the images would link to a project page such as this one: https://cowbell-collie-fwyy.squarespace.com/palm-beach-house For some context, I'm using the Summary Blocks as they are easy for me to use tags to showcase certain projects (blogs) however I'm not using the linked blog pages because as far as I'm aware, I'm unable to customise them as much as I'd like. This is an example of a project/blog page I've designed but unfortunately I don't think is possible to create on the set blog pages (with my limited coding knowledge): https://cowbell-collie-fwyy.squarespace.com/palm-beach-house. If there is any way to do this on the blog-pages I'd love to know! Thanks in advance 🙂
  9. Site URL: http://www.lesfillesdelaconstruction.com Hi, I am trying to make the images in the summary-block (carousel style) bigger on mobile. I have tried this code, but only the first image becomes larger. @media screen and (max-width:767px) { .sqs-active-slide img { width: 100% !important; height: auto !important; left: 0 !important; }} Any ideas? Thank you !
  10. Hey wonderful SS Forums, I'm hoping someone can explain to me why Summary blocks can't be set to "centered"? Is there some CSS etc. that fixes this?
  11. Site URL: https://papaya-armadillo-7acs.squarespace.com/ Password for website: design101 I'm trying to customise a summary block on this website. I'm using the summary block as a testimonial carousel slider, so I'm feeding in the content from blog posts. I can kind of get the content looking almost how I want it when I'm in 'list view', but I still want to show multiple so I'm wondering how I can achieve this. if there even is a way. **This occurs on the home page and the 1:1 coaching page. Below is what I want to achieve. Below is what I've been able to achieve (minus the carousel element).
  12. Site URL: https://otd-staging.squarespace.com/ Please help! I'm trying to center the bottom row of this summary grid ... See picture below Website: https://otd-staging.squarespace.com/ Password: OTD Would be open to these images not being in blog posts, just didn't know how to set it up without adding another section ant disrupting the background and video clip thumbnail that overlap eachother perfectly
  13. Hello, Attached below is a screenshot "Web View" of a summary block with products on desktop. They are all tiny because of the spacing parameters I made. Attached also is "Mobile View" this is how I want the summary block to look on mobile, 2 items in a row. When I have my desired look on mobile, you can see it gets completely ruined on desktop, how can I have the spacing seperate for mobile and web? If I make the desktop view look correct, it makes mobile view 1 product across whole screen, which makes it tiring to just scroll by products 1-by-1 on mobile. Please advise, thank you, https://www.mozerisfineantiques.com/
  14. https://emu-frog-srar.squarespace.com/ A client is using my template, but for some reason on a summary block on the homepage, the borders and border radius is only applying to the 1st and 3rd product image. When I deleted the block and added a new one, the borders applied to the 1st, 2nd, and not the 3rd. Very strange! Any help appreciated.
  15. How can I access Projects via a summary block to display on other pages of my site? Not sure why this is, but seems like a big oversight to me. It would be nice to show featured projects elsewhere on our sight.
  16. Hi everyone, I wondered if anyone knows the best way to create a similar layout to the examples below linking content from different pages? The Atlantic Wired
  17. Site URL: https://www.ukrainiandanceworld.com/dance-groups Hi there, Was wondering how to remove the comma (,) after the country in my categories / tags? I have existing code setup to only show the first category / tag // Dance Group tags /* Hide the comma separators between the tags */ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--tags { font-size: 0; } .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--cats { font-size: 1; } /* but not the tags themselves */ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--tags a { font-size: 12px; } .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--cats a { font-size: 12px; } /* Show the first tag only; hide the others */ .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-metadata-item a:not(:first-child) { display: none; }

  19. Site URL: https://plum-trout-c8tl.squarespace.com/ Heyo, I want to change the color of the meta data in the summary block. I have tried some code but it still has a certain overlay over it. No matter what color I try it always has this sort of overlay. I have already tried: #block-e1205ce284e2c1e398bb .summary-metadata * { font-family: 'albertsanssemibold'; font-size: 1.1rem; color: black !important; } but it is not working as you can see (Metadata is above): I would like it to be just full on black, #000000 Would appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance! Sitepw: j6&1!eA
  20. Site URL: http://faceoflove.co I applied a code to add a border around the images in my summary blocks. I did need this code to affect the majority of the summary block photos with the exception of 2 blocks. Is it possible to target specific summary blocks with this code so it does not apply to the 2 summary blocks where the border around the photos is not needed. this is the code that I used: .sqs-block-summary-v2 .img-wrapper, .sqs-block-summary-v2 .sqs-video-wrapper {border: 1px solid #E1D8D1;}
  21. Site URL: https://www.tlastmarks.com/pre-k Password: Devon Hi! I'm looking to force 5 per row on mobile in the summary block in the footer of this website with CSS. Hope you can help! @tuanphan @creedon @bangank36
  22. Hi Squarespace builders! I have an odd problem. I'm trying to randomize content on a blog. So that the thumbnail posts are displayed in a random order every time the site loads. Is this possible? To give context to what I'm doing (perhaps there's a better way) – I have a list of association members for my local accommodations website. They each have "more info"... so some text and a slideshow of images. On the main blog page I'm just displaying a thumbnail link and their name. They each want a turn near the top of the page from time to time. So I need to figure out how to randomize the posts. I also have a "featured member" area on my homepage which would feature 6 members and change from time to time. I tried setting them up as a portfolio, but realized that 7.1 doesn't support tagging or categorizing portfolio items! UGH! Anyone else want this feature back?! Does anyone have some code that would work for this that I could place in the blog header? Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help me! Warmly, AK
  23. Site URL: https://redgumproducts.squarespace.com/ Hello! I have a site in progress (password is 123456) that requires 4 different product paginations. Paginations required as follows.. REDGUM LOG SPLITTERS > 'specific product' REDGUM CHIPPER SHREDDERS > 'specific product' REDGUM LOG SPLITTER ACCESSORIES > 'specific product' REDGUM CHIPPER ACCESSORIES > 'specific product' In order to do this, I created 4 separate store pages (I thought it best to do it this way rather than sorting with categories.) My issue is that I have products set up as summary blocks and I don't want the pagination to go back to the 'products' page. I want the pagination to go back to the unique 'summary' page. I found this code snippet which works perfectly if you have one store page..... <script> $(function(){ $(".ProductItem-nav-breadcrumb-link:first-child").attr("href", "/log-splitters/"); }); </script> I have tried using this code in the page header code injections (obviously changing it to relate to each specific page title) but it is not working out for me. Can this even be done? Any help most appreciated!!!!! Please and thank you 🙂
  24. I'm working on several sites using the summary carousel with a feed from a blog to make testimonial sections. I really need a subtitle added with different styling than the title or excerpt. i.e. Name - Position/Company - Review. With the name being the title, position or company being the subtitle, and the review being the excerpt. I have code already to style the title and excerpt, but not how to add the subtitle. I know a little CSS and am expecting the answer to be CSS, but other round about ways are welcome too.
  25. Site URL: https://www.foodforbraces.com/ I have 2 summary blocks on my homepage. One is for blog articles The other is for recipes I want to put a text header before each summary block. I have inserted text for this. When I view on desktop it looks fine, but when I view on a mobile it puts the text header under the summary block. How do I fix this? Is there another way of putting a header in front of the summary block?
