  1. Site URL: http://www.kassidysherburne.squarespace.com I created a page with border boxes around each image item, and it's just a bit cumbersome to hand off to a client. I am hoping to find a way to recreate that but with a summary block, so that it will basically auto-populate. I have attached an image of what I have now and what I am basically hoping to achieve with a summary block. Does anyone know any code for this? I keep striking out. It would repeat on several pages also. If you need to access the website, you can see it at http://www.kassidysherburne.squarespace.com using password: hello. It's a brine template.
  2. I've tried every solution I could find here on the Circle forum, but none are working! page: https://theveil.squarespace.com/nfk (scroll down to "Upcoming Events" section) template: Royce I've got a Summary Block displaying Events, filtered by Category. When nothing matches the filter criteria, there is just a big black space on the page. I'd prefer it to automatically display text when the summary block is empty, like "There are no upcoming events at this location." Note: The Upcoming Events section on the page is actually a page (/nfk-events) nestled within an Index Collection (/nfk), in case it matters. Anyone have ideas / updates to the old solutions for this? (https://forum.squarespace.com/search/?&q=empty summary block&search_and_or=and&sortby=relevancy)
  3. Site URL: https://seahorse-coral-yt6j.squarespace.com/ Hi! I want to be able to have the blog post summary to be full width with the titles over the thumbnails and no gaps so the images sit next to each other is this possible? Thanks, Jennie
  4. I would like to display the day of the week (in all caps) in front of my dates on my event summary pages. i.e. THURSDAY, February 3, 2022 I am currently using this code on the actual events page in the Page Header Code Injection, but its not capitalizing the days or carrying over to the summary pages. Am I putting it in the wrong place? Do I need to add additional code? and if so, where? I'm on brine 7.0. <style> var d = new Date(); var days = ["SUNDAY", "MONDAY", "TUESDAY", "WEDNESDAY", "THURSDAY", "FRIDAY", "SATURDAY"]; var months = ["January", "February", "March", "April", "May", "June", "July", "August", "September", "October", "November", "December"]; document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML = days[d.getDay()] + " " + months[d.getMonth()] + " " + d.getDate() + " " + d.getFullYear(); </style>
  5. Site URL: https://dory-krill-pzyz.squarespace.com/ Hello, I've browsed the forum but I haven't found an answer so I'd like to ask for help with the following, I have a Masonry blog page (https://dory-krill-pzyz.squarespace.com/hirek, password: cssk12ker) which I've given a more or less acceptable look. I'd like to adapt this style to the Summary section (under the Title: Hírek) on the main page (https://dory-krill-pzyz.squarespace.com/), which draws content from this blog. I want it to look exactly the same: thumbnail image first, meta content: date and categories, title and excerpt. Same font settings, padding, etc. What is the easiest way to do this? Which style should I add to what in CSS? Or how? Thanks!
  6. I'm working on formatting a summary block (list layout) on the Anya (Bedford) template, and I ran into a snag. I'm trying to reduce the space between items (in this case, titles, because I'm not using anything else), and I used the following CSS: .summary-block .summary-item { margin-top: -30px !important; } .summary-block{ margin-bottom:-30px !important; } When I had the custom CSS window open, everything looked exactly like I wanted it to. Then I saved it and refreshed the page, and they're showing up far apart again. The code is still there. Any advice? (For what it's worth, I tried it both with and without the !important.) http://livingspiritumc.org/sample-blog
  7. Site URL: https://www.ginamorgano.com/podcast The title links on my summary block suddenly stopped working. This summary block is the home of my podcast show notes, so I would love to get this working. Squarespace help said that it has to do with the code, but that it falls outside of their scope and suggested posting here. I don't recall changing the code in any way (I don't even know how to find the code.) I would really appreciate your help spotting the issue in the code and correcting it so that my page works again. Thank you for your help!
  8. Site URL: https://smoothjazzgetaway.squarespace.com/venue I'd like to remove the white box and date that appear in the events summary block (as I'm trying to use it more of a visual image gallery, as we could do in 7.0 – it's my work around). Can anyone provide CSS code to remove the default white box and date? Site page: https://smoothjazzgetaway.squarespace.com/venue Password: Roland
  9. Hi there, I’m using a summary carousel block to display testimonials (actually blog posts). I click the right arrow to scroll through the testimonials. When I reach the last one, it stops and does this fast rewind left back to the first one. Is it possible to add code so you can keep clicking the right arrow and it will keep cycling through in a continuous loop? I don’t want it to scroll automatically, I just want the right arrow (or left arrow) to keep cycling through instead of stopping at the end and then fast-rewinding back to the first one. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Site URL: https://lokalamico.com/wolfgang-vienna-host Hi, I followed this tutorial on how to create a testimonial slider via summary block. Client wants to know if is it possible to automatically put a "Read More..." toggle for long reviews or text that exceed a defined number of characters? It is added via blog settings below Password to the URL provided is mmmm1234 Thanks!
  11. Hello! I am using 7.1 and trying to insert a summary block- I do not see the Summary section in the Insert menu described by the squarespace documentation How do I insert summary blocks in 7.1?
  12. Hi, I've had a search around with no luck so I'd love some help please! Can I please have a code as I'd like to make the 'see more' button go underneath the product summary (at the bottom) so that it reads: In Focus Spring is has arrived! Here are the must-have pieces for picnics and sunshine. *product summary* button Thank you!
  13. Site URL: https://www.thecarolamoon.com/brand-reviews Hello awesome people in the know! I've got two summary blocks from the same source on two different pages. On the homepage the thumbnail images show perfectly round: https://www.thecarolamoon.com However, on my Brand Reviews services page, they show oval. Can you help me find out what I need to do to fix the oval to show round? Many thanks, Carola
  14. I am currently using the summary block to display blog posts in a list format. The "read more" link in the post excerpt directs you to the blog post but I'd like it to point to the post source URL, like the title does. Is that possible? Thanks everyone!
  15. <script> // Changes the format of date on summary items var myObj = document.getElementsByClassName('summary-metadata-item--date'); var options = { year: 'numeric', month: 'long', day: 'numeric'}; for (var i = 0; i < myObj.length; ++i) { var item = myObj[i]; var date = new Date(item.innerHTML); item.innerHTML = date.toLocaleDateString('en-GB', options); } </script> Hi Folks, Wondering if anyone can help, I've used the above code to get UK format dates on my summary blocks for events, but this doesn't work with events that have a date range rather than a single date. Wondering if anyone can help me get it working as its beyond my JS skills! It just shows "invalid date" for thumbnails that have an event spanning more than one date Any advice appreciated

  17. Site URL: https://www.thecarolamoon.com/projects Hello all, My summary page doesn't allow the images to be clicked to go through to the blog post. I may well have code in the page that prevents it, but I can't find the location... Many thanks, Carola
  18. Site URL: https://rhombus-mayflower-khdk.squarespace.com/config/pages Hey, First time posting- I have a Summary block that I want to use to pull a small selection from my 'paintings' shop page for the home page. Problem is these little black boxes appear in the top right of the images. They do not appear on the shop page. How do I get rid of them? I do have some code injection in the advanced-code injection and footer CSS areas, but I deleted all of it and the boxes still appear. Thanks!
  19. Hi guys, Could somebody tell me how to CSS the Summary Block List? I want to (responsively) change the size of the image in relation to the text (larger image). Then I want to alternate the side of the image (1st item: image left, text right - 2nd item: image right text left, etc). Thanks for thinking with me!
  20. I am trying to customize my summary carousel, There doesn't seem to be a way to make the projects that are showing any bigger, as well as customize the gutter width between them? space them out. does anyone know if this is possible? I seem to also have to have it set for 3 rows if I want to show 2 items side by side but if i set it to 2 rows it stacks? makes no sense to me. I'm using this code to center it since it wouldn't sit centered on its own, and I cant seem to add spacing. .sqs-block-summary-v2 .summary-item-list { display: flex; flex-wrap: wrap; justify-content: center; } I have no idea where the arrows on the summary are to show the rest? I've removed all the css and refreshed the site and still no arrows. I've talked to customer help and they said everything looks good on their end so I have no idea what that's about and I haven't been able to find anything on this. also, curious if its possible to show the hidden items in a summary as well? like what would be "off the page" I've attached a screen shot so it might make more sense, but wondering if this was doable on a squarespace site if anyone knows? my site is: https://flugelhorn-seahorse-lzrb.squarespace.com/config/ pw: design
  21. Is it possible to show both past and future events in the events summary block that's inserted on another page? I don't want to add two summary blocks because I don't want a line break between the past events and the upcoming events.
  22. I'm designing a website for a newspaper that is published monthly and I'd like the blog post dates to display just the month and year, not the individual day. I'm not sure where to get started custom code to get this done. Has anyone had success customising this in 7.1?
  23. I have a summary block in my page but feel like the titles are visually hard to tell apart at first glance. I'd like to be able to put a horizontal line as a divider in between each title of the summary block if possible
  24. Site URL: https://www.mindovermatterzine.com/ I'm changing my site's fonts using Custom CSS but I can't seem to find how to change the metadata font (author, publishing date, categories, tags). I successfully changed the title, 'read more' link and excerpt fonts using the code below but I cant seem to find how to change the metadata fonts. This happened both for blog and summaries. Please help! Code that I currently use: h1.blog-title a { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; font-size: 20px; text-transform: uppercase; } b.blog-excerpt a { font-size: 12px !important; } time.summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--date { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } a.summary-title-link { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } a.summary-read-more-link { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } .blog-item-title h1.entry-title { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; }
  25. Site URL: http://www.mcatventure.com Hi there! I have a problem with my summary. When I open my website it seems that the sizes of the photo looks wrong and the spacing also. I have attached a photo below for reference. It does the same to other summary that I have on my HOME. I would really appreciate any help given. Regards, AnneC.
