  1. Hello! I'm building an online zine which has 4 main categories. Currently wondering what the best way to structure it might be. I would like for each category to have its own landing page so I thought about making each category its own blog. The issue, however, is that if each category has its own blog then I can't mix content from each one (i.e. a summary block located in the home with the latest articles [regardless of category]). The other alternative was to have ONE blog and create regular pages for each category using summary blocks. The issue here is that they are limited to 30 items, so once there are more than 30 the page will become sort of useless. Is there any way around these issues or do I have to choose between the lesser evil? Thank you!
  2. Site URL: http://brondyhumphrey.com/expansion-2 Hello everyone, I am trying to to do these 2 things on my website 1) I'm trying to fade in Black my full width carroussel image at the bottom (summary block). 2) Add another carrousel section crossing the fade (like Netflix) Here's an example of what I am trying to replicate :
  3. Site URL: http://www.localrewards.chat/winbackspend Hey, I don't want the items in the summary block to link out to anywhere or be clickable - how would I do this? I've tried the below as a code block (I cannot inject into the footer - it only gives me the header option) <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1660588805668_68693 *').removeAttr('href'); }); </script> Thanks!

This I have done, however I would like to make it look nice and I have problems with the following: 1. Have the summary block and image next to each other without any space (on desktop and mobile) 2. Make the summary block same height as image and also responsive. 3. Translate the 'Read more' to own language. pw to site is xenia. Thank you in advance for your help! Best regards!

  11. Site URL: https://www.horosho.io/ Hello! Would anyone be able to tell me why my banner isn’t reaching the full width of the page? It is so close, however on the desktop version, and especially mobile, it is noticeable. I am using a carousel summary block with the following CSS: /*Start Code for banner on Home page */ [data-section-id="6134d5610ba34b71eff63623"] .content-wrapper { padding-left: 0 !important; padding-right: 0 !important; padding-top: 0 !important; margin-top: -36px !important; margin-bottom: -12px !important; max-width: 100% !important; width: 100% !important; overflow: hidden !important; } /* Add space between excerpt and post title on banner }*/ #block-18fde951df183f0ea6a1 .summary-excerpt p { padding-top: 10px !important; padding-bottom: 5px !important; } /* Add space between title and image */ #block-18fde951df183f0ea6a1 .summary-title { padding-top: 20px !important; } /* Add space between date and bottom */ #block-18fde951df183f0ea6a1 .summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--date { padding-bottom: 20px !important; } /*End Code for banner on Home page*/ I was able to remove the space on the left side by using margin-left: -3px, however that just seemed to shift the images to the left, and not widen it. Any help would be much appreciated!
  12. Hey all, This is driving me a bit nuts. I'm trying to change the title font (and body font actually) of my blog summary block to the same font the posts have on the blog page. I've tried CSS and it changed the font, but not to my desired font. It works with Arial, Monospace, Avenir and others, but not with my desired font. The font I would like the title to be is IvyPresto Display, weight 300 The body font is fine, but I would like to change the size to smaller (just need the line of code, can change the px accordingly) If someone could help with this, I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you! Dina
  13. Site URL: https://www.yungrealestate.com/availabilities/26-east-sunset-dr How can I hide the current blog post in a summary block site-wide so that I don't have to code it for each blog post or make specific tags for each property? If I have a summary block on a property listing, I would prefer not to have it display the current property on it.
  14. Site URL: https://flatworm-antelope-6szr.squarespace.com/christchurch My blog has multiple categories so I have set up seperate pages to showcase each category using summary blocks. So page 1 has a summary block above showing FEATURED blog posts in CATEGORY 1. Then below it, I have another summary block with 30 items from the same CATEGORY 1. I want to remove the featured posts in that second block. Is there a code to EXCLUDE featured articles while keeping the blog posts in the same category? Ideally I want the featured articles to be my top posts, not just the most recent.
  15. Site URL: https://pelican-lemon-rf2w.squarespace.com/business-lounge-new-layout Hi all, My client wishes to display her blog posts in a carousel. No matter *what* I do, they just will not show up in the correct format. They show in the grid display, the wall and list - however when I change them to the format the client wants, everything goes blank. In both preview and live view, nothing is there. Can anyone please help, I can't understand what on earth is happening! Thank you all so much, Michelle
  16. Site URL: https://www.foodforbraces.com/ I have 2 summary blocks on my homepage. One is for blog articles The other is for recipes I want to put a text header before each summary block. I have inserted text for this. When I view on desktop it looks fine, but when I view on a mobile it puts the text header under the summary block. How do I fix this? Is there another way of putting a header in front of the summary block?
  17. I need to be able to create articles in a more dynamic format than blog posts allow (full width images, differing column widths etc.). As such, I need to create those articles using normal pages as opposed to blog posts, however then I can't use summary blocks to create an index / menu presentation of those pages (other than manually building an index using image blocks). I will be adding articles very regularly, so adding them manually to a manually created summary page isn't an option. Does anyone have a workaround they have successfully used - to effectively create a summary block using pages as opposed to blog posts? Thanks!
  18. Site URL: https://www.chuckgumpert.com/su2022preview I'm interested in using summary blocks to display images collection grid style...currently the design tab setting is "auto" aspect ratio -- but it only scales them on the width -- leaving narrow vertical images looking really odd among the others (the 1:1 options crops non-square images to a square)is there any way to force this so thumbnails would scale to width AND height no matter if they are horizontal, vertical, or square images? -- similar to the settings on a regular gallery block?example page I'm trying to fix: https://www.chuckgumpert.com/su2022preview (see the final vertical image in the grid -- this is what I'd like to fix)On other pages I've used regular gallery block (grid) which has aspect ratio setting as 1:1 β€” but those scale to height or width, whichever is larger example: https://www.chuckgumpert.com/dragonfire(Avenue Template)Thanks for any help!
  19. Site URL: https://www.oneadvisory.london Hi everyone, I'd love some help with this if anyone can guide me please! I have a summary block that shows blog posts in the Meet The Team Page on this website. I have targeted this specific block by using the #block-yui so that the Summary Title changes colour, which has worked brilliantly. I'm now trying to get the excerpt to both change colour and increase size, but nothing seems to work at all! This is what I have used for the title, which works: #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1648725292793_6916 a.summary-title-link { color: hsl(198, 46%, 44%) !important; } I have tried for the excerpt both: #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1648725292793_6916 summary-excerpt p { color: hsl(198, 46%, 44%) !important; font-size: 25px !important; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1648725292793_6916 a.summary-excerpt p { color: hsl(198, 46%, 44%) !important; font-size: 25px !important; } Please can someone point me in the right direction? I'm hoping it's something simple! Thanks very much in advance, Vicci
  20. Site URL: http://graphicstructures.squarespace.com If you look at this page I have managed to give the blog masonry a hover title and yellow overlay - http://graphicstructures.squarespace.com/ (pass: preview) I am trying to replicate this on a summary block on this page. I am nearly there but it's a bit buggy, isn't working well on mobile and also there is an odd white space under the images? http://graphicstructures.squarespace.com/projects (pass: preview) Here is the code I'm currently toying with: .summary-item img { transition:all .1s ease !important; } .summary-item .summary-content { display: flex; place-items: center; justify-content: center; } .summary-item .summary-content { background: rgba(254,237,0,.9); width:100%; height:100%; position: absolute; color: #fff !important; top: 50%; left: 50%; opacity: 0 !important; pointer-events: auto; transition: all .1s ease; transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform:translate(-50%, -50%) } .summary-item .summary-title, .summary-item .summary-metadata--primary, .summary-item .summary-metadata--secondary.summary-item .summary-excerpt { color: #000 !important; font-size:20px !important; text-align:center !important; background-color: rgba(3,255,255,0) !important; } .summary-item:hover .summary-content { opacity:1 !important; } .summary-title a:after { content:''; width: 100vw; height: 100vh; display: block; position: absolute; top: 50%; left: 50%; transform: translate(-50%,-50%); } .summary-item { overflow:hidden !important; }
  21. Site URL: https://nagy-design.squarespace.com Hey Folks, I'm trying to get a couple of features to have the same hover effect: Summary Block Blog page articles The hover effect: Reveal the title of the blog and add a slightly transparent overly with the color #805c60, with a zoom effect, along with drop shadow and slight movement. (https://www.loom.com/share/763f4336ca624fd8b1e915200aec2718) Right now I've got the home page with summary block almost working. I used a brightness filter, but that just adds a black transparency layer on hover, and I need it to be the color mentioned above. I've tried a few variations of code but just can't seem to get it. On the blog page, I want the same effect. I tried to apply it, but don't see any blog titles at all. When I reveal excerpt, it shows below. I can't seem to get a hover effect with the title. Thoughts? Here's the code I used for the home page section: //ROUND Summary blocks [data-section-id="62c474a24e68127a1a6a51f1"]{ .sqs-gallery-design-grid .margin-wrapper {transition: box-shadow .5s, transform .5s; border-radius: 500px; overflow: hidden; } .sqs-gallery-design-grid .margin-wrapper:hover { box-shadow: 1px 10px 10px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); transform: translateY(-10px);} .sqs-gallery-block-grid { overflow: visible;} // Grid Gallery Zoom // @media all and (min-width:770px){ .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide:hover img{ transform: scale(1.1); -webkit-filter: brightness(10%); filter: brightness(20%); } .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide:hover .image-slide-title{ opacity: 2 } .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide img{ -webkit-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; -moz-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; -o-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; } .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-gallery-design-grid .image-slide-title{ position: absolute; opacity: 0; top: 45%; left: 50%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); transform: translate(-50%, -50%); pointer-events: none; -webkit-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; -moz-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; -o-transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; transition: all 1s ease-in-out !important; z-index:99999999999; font-size: 25px !important; font-weight: 500 !important; color: #805c60!important; padding: 10px; } } } #block-4c5b6117782fd90b385e { margin-top:-250px; } and the blog page: //**PROJECTS PAGE**// //rounded images [data-section-id="62ba3b21816549635a744e9d"]{.blog-basic-grid a { border-radius: 500px!important; }} [data-section-id="62ba3b21816549635a744e9d"]{ .sqs-block-gallery .sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide:hover img{ transform: scale(1.1); -webkit-filter: brightness(10%); filter: brightness(20%); }} //title overlay .blog-basic-grid .blog-title { margin-top: -60px; }
