  1. Site URL: http://www.heathparkhouse.co.uk Hi folks. I'm having a problem with the banner/header at the top of pages on our site. As our drop down menu font is white, you need a dark banner behind it to see the options. Most of the time, the full image I've uploaded shows, which means you can see the menu. Sometimes though, it's cropped higher so you can't see that white text. I've uploaded a screenshot from the styles area of the design tool. I think the blue line is where the image cuts off sometimes, so this makes me think there's a way to solve this problem. Any ideas on what I could do would be gratefully received. Thanks.
  2. I'm trying to create multiple portfolio "Grid: Overlay" project style pages, but want to have different gallery image sizes on each page (i.e. 16:9 aspect and 4 rows on home page, 1:1 and 2 rows on a different page). Whenever I change the settings for one page though, it changes the project gallery settings across all pages. I don't know a workaround for this, and am trying to avoid custom CSS. Any ideas what I can do to achieve this?
  3. Hey all, I need to add a custom `.less` file to the template. With my template directory open in my code editor, I added a new file `custom.less` under `styles` directory. I then edited the `template.conf` to reference this new `.less` file. My expectation was that all `.less` files in this `.conf` file would be picked up and rolled up into `.css` and included on the site, but it does not seem to work that way. Is this a feature of Squarespace developer experience at all? Am I missing something? Thanks.
  4. I am wondering if anyone else is having the issue where you do not have the option to change the font and color styles for the headline and body of the lock screen? I am only given the option to change the style for the background, lock and password. On the Squarespace "Designing a lock screen" webpage, it says you can change the style for the headline and body. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815178-Designing-a-lock-screen Any ideas?
  5. Site URL: https://www.maxwellflick.com Hi, For the most part I have been able to add squarespace custom css to give my site the look I want but I am completely stumped on this mobile view issue. I want to have the content on mobile view look exactly like the content on the desktop version. On the page https://www.maxwellflick.com/portraits the desktop view is perfect but switching over to mobile view it throws away the space blocks and jumbles together the images and text to display in a single column. Is there a code that exists to disable the mobile view and tablet view completely so that every format has exactly the same spacing? Essentially always forcing the desktop version to show? I see a lot of posts from last year where there was apparently an option to change the mobile breakpoint to 0px but I don't have that option in my style editor. site is private: flick2020 Thanks!
  6. I understand that there aren't templates in 7.1. I started with a simple launch page (Kearny), and would like to use a different style (Sackett) for my actual website. I know I could go in and change each individual element, but I'd like to tweak an existing style instead. Is there any way to change to a pre-existing style? Thank you!
  7. Hi all! I'm using poster images on my site. I can change in site styles whether the text appears on the left or the right for all poster images. Is it possible to alternate between these options so I could do something like the image attached? Thanks a million for the help 🙂
  8. Site URL: https://www.tylerelise.com/ Hi! I've been using the "add gallery or page" button when I want to add something new to my Work page - normally I have just gone for the gallery option, but I've since decided that other page layouts would be more useful for my content. I tried to add an "about" layout page, thinking it would display the same way that a gallery page would on my work page (with an image block) - I added this new page and it's not showing up. Is this something that typically doesn't work, or is this a bug on my end? Attaching an image for reference - the "Tyler Elise Morph" project is the new project I am trying to add that is not showing up. Thanks in advance!
  9. Site URL: https://mobile-mentor.com Looking for guidance on best practice for site creation. We are a B2B IT services company. We have productized services, which we promote on one page each. Currently, we are treating each service as an index, then creating 'panels' in that service to hold the various sections of information we want to show to our customers. Content aside, what is the best practice for creating pages vs indexes? We have setup the current schema due to the desire to stick to the styling provided by a firm, which includes soft gray backgrounds on some panels and navy blue backgrounds on others, with white being the most common. We cannot find a way to adhere to that background setup without creating indexes and using panels with CSS to set the background color. Is this a bad practice? What effects will this have on SEO, maintenance, otherwise? Is this innocuous and really a choice? Is there a workaround to get part of a page to have a full background color while leaving the rest of the page intact? https://www.mobile-mentor.com
  10. Site URL: https://peaches-jang.squarespace.com/ Hi, This is my first time working with Squarespace. I'm experienced with doing Shopify development, so this is a bit different from that. I can get my template running locally, but it isn't loading the stylesheet. Attached is a screenshot of what I see when the server boots up. It's loading all the proper assets and copy from the live site, but I have an error in console. Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error) Any idea how to approach this problem? Thanks
  11. Hi Squarespace experts: I've been building a site in the Brine template, but have never been totally happy with the product detail page, so have built a test page to try a different layout. In this test page I have stacked images in the left column and product block in the right, along with text fields, spacers, etc, to achieve the desired layout. It's working well, for the most part. My hope is to hide the product pages and use this custom pages as my detail page once a shopper clicks on a product from my shop page. However, an issue is: when I add a product block to this page, the variant dropdown (in this case, "Size"), and its associated title looks bad - the font and dropdown design are not styled, nor is the "add to cart" button. They are missing the nice styling I had set with my actual product pages. It's as if the style settings are not translating to the product blocks. Does this make sense? Is there some CSS I could use to dress the product block variants and add to cart button?
  12. Need help on this! Worked with SquareSpace a few years and familiar with inspecting to find custom Block ID's for CSS. However this is proving more difficult than anticipated! I have to access the cached result on many Google listings because SS-Answers no longer hosts those answers. (frustrating) So I'm trying to custom color all 4 buttons on this page. (https://www.fruniti.com/products) Step-2 will be messing with hover and other features, but at this point I can't get past Step-1. Was able to custom color ALL the buttons with last line of code, but cannot target specific button even after trying various #block IDs! Just hitting walls! Saw other posts where users suggested targeting "collections", but I don't see those listed near my button in code. I would prefer to avoid using the code block, as this seems like it should be achievable through CSS alone. (i think) /* MANGO MOOD */ #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1566923613385_11113 h2 a { color:#ea9d39 } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1566923613385_11113 h3 { color:#ea9d39 } /* BUTTON */ .small-button-shape-pill .sqs-block-button-element--small { background-color: #ea9d39 }
  13. Hi Everyone I'm using the OM template and am struggling with the limitation of body links, specifically body link colour. It's not clear for readers which text is linked due to the stroke weight of the font in that template so I wanted to style hyperlinks with an underline to make it obvious versus using a lurid colour to get the links to stand out. I know I can manually do this but it's such a basic CSS style, I'm surprised that there are no decoration options. I'm on a personal plan and not sure I'm able to deal with a custom code injection that will operate on the global style sheet based on the way the parameters are configured in the design panel of Squarespace. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or has come up with an elegant fix? Appreciate any advice or pointers that anyone can offer. Thanks in advance. Alex
  14. Hi all, I started my Website building process. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to remove the "Hours" placeholder (see screenshot). Since I'm not using the site for a shop nor have opening hours this looks a bit silly. Hopefully you can help me out. Thanks!
  15. Hello, I am using the Wells Template. Within the Side Navigation, I would like the Page Folders to appear as Bold (weight 700) and the Pages within the folders, that drop down, to appear as not bold (weight 400). At the moment In Site Styles Editor I am only managing to blanket edit the Style of the Folders and the Page Titles and cannot edit them separately. I can either have everything as weight 700 or everything as weight 400. Not Folders as one weight and Page titles as another as I would like. I have attached a screen shot example below: Info > is the Folder, which I would like 'Bold' (weight 700) Biography, News, Shop are the individual pages within that folder that I would like to be displayed as 'not Bold' (Weight 400) I have seen that this is possible on other sites, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, James
