  1. Hello, https://cheetah-koala-ytr8.squarespace.com Password : essai2 Hello, my site is finished and I wanted to recvor the sitemap.xml but it is empty, my homepage is an index 😕 should I change this? How should I do this? I can not...
  2. Site URL: https://www.acroandyoga.org/ Thanks to anyone who would spare 5 minutes of his time to check on my new website https://www.acroandyoga.org/ Any feedback is really appreciated. 🙏 Laura
  3. 1. The new 7.1 portfolio feature seems great, but ideally I'd like a main 'work' subpage featuring my full portfolio, and a few of these portfolio items 'featured' on the homepage. Currently the only way to do this seems to be to have two separate portfolios, one for 'work' and one for 'featured homepage'. Obviously for the same portfolio item to be in both of these would result in duplicated pages, which would be bad for SEO/UX. Another workaround might be to have the homepage one as a basic 'gallery' with click throughs to the individual portfolio pages but you lose the functionality of the hover/overlay title of the portfolio item. Is there another workaround or way to set this up that I'm missing? 2. The Portfolio item limit is 40, which isn't great for bigger or busier portfolios. What's the best workaround for bigger portfolios? The only thing I can envisage is a main 'work' portfolio, and as it gets bigger moving case-studies over to an 'work 2015-2020' portfolio, repeating for subsequent years as it overspills and linking to these somewhere on the 'work' portfolio. Apart from the manual/admin headache and bad UX, this would also require setting up 301 redirects from the old '/work' content to the new '/work-2015-2020' content after you move it so seems a bit messy to me. Appreciate any thoughts or advice on these!
  4. My site is producing a blank sitemap (https://www.silettofamilyvineyards.com/sitemap.xml). I contacted Squarespace support and they said my Custom CSS is most likely preventing the sitemap from displaying correctly. I've never encountered this issue with Squarespace 7.0 websites and I'm wondering if this is specific to 7.1. I'm using custom CSS to add 50% transparency to the dropdown menus in the navigation (https://www.silettofamilyvineyards.com). Does anyone know how I can produce a sitemap without removing the custom CSS? Thanks, Jeff
  5. Hello, It's been a while since I've been facing this issue and there seems to be no solution. I've submitted a sitemap of my website to Google Search Console which was successful, but every time I request Google to index my website, it always ends up with a warning "Indexed, though blocked by robots.txt" meaning the site isn't indexed by Google. (My site is https://mastercarsreview.com/) Did anyone face such problem? How did you fix it? Thank you so much in advance. I really need help in this. (I've sent several emails to both squarespace and google, nothing changed)
  6. I've added some custom CSS to the following site (https://www.silettofamilyvineyards.com) to add 50% transparency to the dropdown menus in the navigation. Apparently this CSS is preventing the sitemap from automatically populating (https://www.silettofamilyvineyards.com/sitemap.xml). The site was created with Squarespace 7.1. Does anyone know how I can produce a sitemap without removing the custom CSS? Thanks, Jeff
  7. I just received this email from Google Search Console: Search Console has identified that your site is affected by 1 new issue of type Coverage. Errors can prevent your page or feature from appearing in Search results. The following errors were found on your site: Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ I can't find anywhere on my site where these metatags might be! Help meee! I'm using memberspace, not sure if that might have anything to do with it. I was also advised to hide some of my home pages as they have duplicate content and this is bad for seo? It is saying that 30 (that's all of them) of my pages are marked "noindex". How can this be?
  8. For some reason, my sitemap isn't populating currently? I recently went through a rebrand and updated my domain name. Could that be part of the issue? Does it just take time for Squarespace to kick and populate the sitemap in once the site-wide password is removed? https://thewildinitiative.com/sitemap.xml
  9. What is the more common site configuration for gyms, karate studios which provide / sell a service.
  10. Why is this showing up on our homepage? We did not code that. We use an index page for our homepage with subpages. We even tried making all the subpages visible in the SEO tab, but the noindex remains. Google says it can't index the homepage because it is set to noindex by Squarespace. Any ideas?
