Site URL: https://www.creativeblackwomansplaybook.com/ As designers, we always love the opportunity to engage in a collaborative project with people who value great design, so we were thrilled when Weglot approached us with the idea to collaborate on a multilingual website to showcase the work of a talented artist while demonstrating the translation capabilities using Weglot and Squarespace. After considering some colleagues to be the focus of the project, we thought Co–Conspirator Press was perfect. Co–Co press is a publication platform that operates out of Los Angeles based Women's Center for Creative Work. They work with independent artists, writers, and other creatives to help them share their voice. After proposing the project to them, we decided to showcase “The Creative Black Woman’s Playbook” by author Veronica Cammile Ratliff. A digital version of the book was created for this project to be sold on the Squarespace site as well as a Spanish translation (working with Weglot for the translation) of the ebook. The site features snippets from the book, information about the author and Co–Co Press, as well as the ability to toggle between English and Spanish for the website content. We had a blast working on this, come see why it was so fun.
Site URL: http://www.robertoserrini.com Hoping someone can lend some knowledge... I've always had a hard time finding a template that is geared to showcasing video work. I'm a commercial director and I find it odd that SS doesn't even have a category for video. They let you browse by portfolio, photography, stores, blogs, professional services, business, community, events, weddings, music, restaurant, personal, real estate, and launch pages, but there is nothing geared toward video content which I simply cannot believe. What I'm looking for is a way to organise my work so when potential clients come to my site they can search for a specific type of content. For instance someone might be looking for comedic work, or automobiles, or VFX spots. Some commercials I've done hit multiple categories, so I want to be able to tag them, then have a nav bar that has these categories, so when it is clicked it populates a page of thumbnails with those tagged videos. It seems relatively basic, but for the life of me I simply don't see a template that fits the bill. Any help or guiding light would be so appreciated ... I love SS and run multiple sites through them, and generally I (and most clients) are super happy with my site ... I just would love to make it easier to put the right work in front of them. Thanks!
