  1. Site URL: https://www.survivaltechniques.co.uk/shop Hello! I am moving my shop over to Squarespace from BigCartel and can't find a way to register the correct shipping for my products. I sell a range of paintings, prints and canvas bags which have a big range of shipping prices, ie a painting is going to cost a lot more to send than an A3 print. I can only find an option to set shipping rates by weight or flat rate, neither of which work as customers often buy a combination of products, which each need to be packaged separately. Is there a way I can set a shipping rate per product? I used to have my shop with BigCartel and it was very easy to set a specific shipping rate for each product. The current options in Squarespace are driving me crazy with how inflexible they are. Any help would be much appreciated. This is my shop: https://www.survivaltechniques.co.uk/shop
  2. Hello, im helping my client ecommerce, and want to using ems pos indonesia shipping from bali, anybody has experience using ems in squarespace?
  3. Hi there! I'm wondering if anyone knows how to sync a Gift Message in Squarespace (which I've already set up on the checkout page) to EasyShip? EasyShip has a field called Buyer's Notes, but it's not syncing and I can't even figure out how to manually edit that field (or otherwise manually insert a message that could print on the Packing Slip). So far EasyShip customer service can't answer my question. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance! I'm so close to being able to launch my website after a gazillion hours of working on everything...but Squarespace makes everything around gifts super challenging. THANK YOU! - Stacy
  4. I sell trading cards and want to make sure they are shipped properly insured. How can I set up a shipping calculator that invokes different prices based on the total order value? For example, order under 50 costs 2.45, 50-100 costs 3.20, 101-500 costs 6.85 and so on.
  5. Site URL: http://www.bucci.paris I set up different shipping options by country. I have already prepared costs for a few countries but I don't know why USA costs (which is the most expensive) is displayed by default. It's only when i validate the payment that it's possible to change te shipping option. Is it possible propose to the customer to change the shipping cost before validating the payment ?
  6. Site URL: http://www.anchoredshrimp.com Will per item shipping rates ever be an option on Squarespace? My shop currently has two shipping options for seafood items. ($25 Flat Rate Ground and $45 Flat Rate Air.) I can't use the carrier calculating shipping because the real cost of shipping 20lbs perishable packages is indeed costly. (I do add shipping cost to the overall price of my items.) This way of setting up my store makes it so I can never have sell small items or merchandise. I would LOVE the option if a customer wanted to buy just a T shirt for $15 it would simply just have a free shipping automatically selected. If a customer wanted to have a t shirt and a seafood item the $25 and $45 options will be available to select. Shopify is one platform I see starting to tackle this issue this year however it still seems like a complicated process with them. They do item shipping by "profiles." Squarespace is one of the biggest ecommerce platforms out there.. how is this still not an option yet? I have seen multiple questions about this. Does Squarespace just ignore suggestions?
  7. Site URL: http://megumiorganics.com It seems that Squarespace does not have a GRAMS option. My products are not heavy and need the proper weight input for shipping. Any suggestions? Squarespace needs to add the options right away.
  8. How do you deal with partial shipments? I have some items coming from Printful, and some items I am fulfilling myself. In this case, how do you notify the customer about partial shipments and tracking?
  9. Site URL: https://www.lingstergames.com/ Hello hive mind! I have issues with International shipping. I currently use Easyship, and though they do international shipping, I can't reflect that across to Squarespace. Squarespace only allows shipping to the US. If it's international, it's flat rate. I can't ship a box the same to Canada as well as Germany. I've lost every potential customer I had in the month of February because of international customers. In fact, I've lost 45% of my revenue due to this problem. How do I fix this so I can get customers from international sources?
  10. Hi all As the title says - I'm working on a store for a client and they need to have a minimum/maximum order quantity. I can find where to set minimum order by price but no options for quantity. Is this possible in squarespace or would it be better to set as variants such as "pack of 10", "pack of 20" etc?
  11. Hello, hoping someone can help because i never hear back from customer service. I need to put a minimum order quantity on some of my items in my ecommerce store. Example: customer needs to order a quantity of 50 or more for the same item to place an order. How do i do this? I am subscribed to the Business subscription.
  12. Hi, I'm currently building my ecommerce and I am struggling with the last weight range because it is set to infinity and I cannot leave it with a nil amount, neither with a fictive amount. I need to set only 10 weight ranges, the last one being the "45kg to 50kg". If eventually an order equals 70 kg than I will send 2 shipments of 35 kg and I will charge the client respectively twice the cost of the range "30kg to 35kg" (35kg x2=70kg). Therefore in that case, at the E-shop checkout level, this order should not be loaded with a wrong/fictive shipping fee and I need also the order to be kept on hold (payment shouldn't be done). After contacting the client, I need to be able to intervene manually by inputting the correct shipping fees and than, processed the payment order. Are there solutions to achieve that?... by coding perhaps and who could help me on the coding? Many thanks!
  13. Hello, My client has their own shipping provider which isn't FEDex / UPS / USPS. But they still want to calculate their shipping rates based on the volume of the package being delivered. They will be shipping products out from India to all countries and within India as well. Will Carrier Calculated Shipping work for them? Can someone explain to me how Carrier Calculated shipping actually works? Does it mean that if we use this, products MUST be shipped using FedEX / UPS / USPS? Cause from the Squarespace support page it says it only supports for shipping within the US. Any clarification would be appreciated.
  14. Site URL: https://deb-bailey.com/shop/p/inside-out-book Hello. I have set up 2 products, both with 4 shipping options. I also added a 'Fee per Item' for each shipping option. It is my understanding that it should work like this; Purchase 1 book + $12 shipping = Total $12 Purchase 2 books + $12 shipping + $5 Fee per item = Total $17 The problem is when someone is buying 1 book it's charging them $17 shipping (adding them both together). What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Claire.
  15. There are a variety of details to consider when setting up your online store, all in service of the ultimate goal: helping your customers find what they’re looking for and complete checkout smoothly. Get a head start by brainstorming tags, categories, and subcategories so customers can quickly find what they are looking for and browse related items. Think early on about which shipping options and potential discount codes might serve you best. These kinds of decisions can have a direct impact on performance. How do you make sure your online store is set up for success? Share in the comments below!
  16. I know this is a really dumb question but please bear with me. I have read every article and am still struggling with setting up shipping costs. I own a retail shop and want to sell items on squarespace that vary greatly in weight and size. I'm trying to figure out how to set up shipping and not lose money. If I integrate with a shipper such as ShipBob or Easyship and go with carrier calculated rates then do I need to know the weight and dimensions of the items AFTER they are boxed up? Meaning, would I need to have specific box sizes for each product in order to charge consistantly the same? Sorry, this is one area that I'm having a tough time with.

    APO shipping

Hello, looking for advice on what has been the best way for you to make shipping to APO/FPO addresses possible. Thank you so much!!
  18. I am trying to have the tax amount for other states populate but it is not working. Does anyone know how to fix this?
  19. I sell a very heavy and bulky product that is not very expensive. I lose a lot of sales due to the psychological effect of customer's rejecting the relatively high shipping cost (i.e. product cost $150 but shipping is an additional $90). I've learned that I can increase the cost of my product to $200 and reduce the shipping cost to $45 and make more sales. PROBLEM: Squarespace's "markup" doesn't allow anything but an increase in the shipping cost, not a reduction. I don't want to keep screwing around with my product dimensions and weights trying to "chase" the desired reduction. It doesn't work anyway due to the screwy way the carriers have to calculate their cost. I need a simple, behind-the-scenes "50%" reduction on the carrier's calculated rate. Has anyone found a workaround or solution?
  20. Site URL: http://www.6x6rvcustoms.com I'm still struggling to get my website working and functional and I was testing the website through mockup purchases and realized that for an item that is too big to fit in a flat rate box (US based) it is showing that box that is too small as an option. I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure it out and SS help is useless. Can someone point me in the right direction?
  21. Site URL: https://tangerine-icosahedron-hmrm.squarespace.com/ I am trying to set up the shipping for our items and on some of the items on the Inventory list are noted in red: overweight and oversized. If that makes sense. How do I fix that so the proper shipping amount will compute.
  22. Hello, I'm designing a site for a client who delivers a food product herself (Doesn't ship anything), and therefore only delivers within a certain radius of her store. Does anyone know of a way to set this up? Best thing I have figured out so far is to upgrade the business plan subscription to be able to limit to specific area codes. She also needs to take orders at least 2 days in advance of fulfilling the orders. I created a custom form for customers to enter the date they would like their delivery, but I'm wondering if there is a way to not accept orders if they try to order for same day delivery. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  23. Site URL: http://bitterslab.com My client has a quarterly subscription product. She consistently has issues when a client moves and needs to update their address. They either update the address in their SS account and she has no idea so she sends the product to their old address, OR, if they happen to contact her, she has to tell them to cancel and resubscribe. We're open to all kinds of creative solutions (custom dev, additional apps, etc) short of moving to a completely new subscription platform. Possible solutions (no idea if they're possible): A) Enable customer to change their shipping address for a subscription product B) Edit the customer address section in the account area so customers are forced to send an email or fill out a separate form to change their address, vs the default SS address update. C) Create a notification when a customer updates the address in their account so my client knows to update it in her own system Any ideas? Thanks!
  24. Hello we only have license to sell in one country. how we restrict the shipping option to that country? thanks!!
  25. Site URL: https://www.gochemtek.com Hello, Our shop previously offered free shipping on orders under $100 but we're now increasing this to $200. We have about 15 different box sizes and I'm wondering if we need to add all of the custom box sizes? For anyone else who uses the Custom Containers, are you adding in all of your boxes or just the largest ones? I know the description says "shipping costs will be estimated at checkout by packing the order into as few of these containers as possible" but I don't know how accurate this always is. Can anyone share insight or experience? Thanks!
