  1. Site URL: https://www.thewholealchemist.com Hi all, First post here. I've been having trouble understanding how Google searches for my site name when typing in just the site words separated by spaces as opposed the the actual URL. Typing in site:Https://www.thewholealchemist.com returns pages as indexed by Google so I know something is working but I don't know what I'm missing. Is it purely SEO management that is lacking to rank my site or something else? Still learning about SEO best practices and a long way off getting better ranking but would really appreciate your guys insights. Cheers.
  2. I'm using the Brine 7.0 template for my website and I would like to hide index subpages from the search results so that only the main index page is shown and site visitors are navigated to see all of the relevant content, not just the subpage. Is this possible using redirect links or search customization? I've been looking for a solution for a while now and I don't mind if it's a work-around, I just need a solution to this.
  3. Site URL: https://www.lamasz.com Hi, I changed my SEO site title and description, however when I search for the site name it has not changed. Does anyone know why this is ? Thank you
  4. Hello! I have been developing a website and have come across a feature that is not working as planned. The Issue: When using the search feature on my website to locate content on my website it finds the source with no problem; however, it loads the first piece of content that is in the gallery where the desired content is also located but not the search piece. Example: Searches 'Content 5' (The 5th place content located in a gallery) Finds 'Content 5' Once result is accepted it loads 'Content 1' and not 'Content 5' (The 1st content located in the same gallery and the 5th) I hope this makes sense, and if not please ask any more questions. I have come in contact with the customer services and Squarespace has submitted a feature request; however, the assistant claimed coding could be an option. Is there anyone that has/or could code this feature for me? I hope everyone is well and look forward to everyone's responses! Thanks
  5. In 7.1 search functionality is broken. It does not index text blocks that exist in a section. It seems to only index navigation and blogs. Support says this is a known bug but they still have not fixed it and it has been broken since start. We highly depend on this search functionality for our new site. PLEASE FIX IT SquareSpace!
  6. Hello, at the moment the results of the site search option display only the sections of an index page. So when I want to open the page from the search results only the specific section page of the index page will be opened. But I want the results to show and open the complete index page with all its sections and not only one of them. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
  7. Site URL: http://www.spaceflightnewsmedia.com In the Rally theme, what CSS can I use to show only the Blog Post title in the search results, but hide the blog excerpt in those same results?
  8. Hi, I've created a page with several summary blocks to show blog posts in my preferred layout. This means the "actual" blog page is behind the scenes in the Not Linked section. (The reason I created the custom page was that my preferred layout customizations were not possible on a regular blog page in the template I'm using.) I'm wondering if it's possible to hide that non-linked page from search results while still having the individual post pages indexed? (So if someone searched site title + blog they'd get the custom blog page instead of the non-linked behind-the-scenes blog, but individual posts would still show up in search results.) (Here's my custom page, and here's the non-linked blog page.) Thanks for any thoughts!
  9. Hello Guys, I have seen a lot of posts on this subject, today I will show you how to add a search lens in the navigation bar (in the header) in Squarespace 7 using the tutorial made by the Squarespace Guru for Squarespace 6, that you can find here This is how it looks like: You will need to follow these steps: 1) Retrieve the search address for your Squarespace site, every Squarespace site has one. • If you have a custom domain it will be as follows: www.yourdomain.com/search • If you do not have a custom domain linked to your site, it will be as follows: www.yourusername.squarespace.com/search 2) Add in the Code Injection, in the header section the following code in Settings >> Advanced >> Code Injection >> Header: <link href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.1.0/css/font-awesome.min.css" rel="stylesheet"> This video shows you how to do it: 3) Add a link under the main navigation and name it the following: <i class=" fa fa-search"></i> Here is the video that shows you how to do it in Squarespace 7: As a note, it might take a few minutes for the lens icon to display.
