  1. Site URL: https://www.nikkidinkicooking.com/blog/creamy-spicy-corn-dip.html On my client's website we are using a custom code block to insert a very nice looking recipe card on blog post page. The HTML of the recipe card uses the Recipe Schema so that Google displays an appropriate recipe card on search results. We are also using Rating Widget to display star ratings to users. We are struggling with getting the star rating on the google search result recipe card though. Since the Rating Widget is a third-party Javascript snippet, we need to capture that rating after the page and widget has loaded. We thus have to use an application/ld+json script tag with all the recipe data, which we append after the page has loaded. When using Google's Rich Results Testing Tool (https://search.google.com/test/rich-results), we can see that it accurately captures the Recipe data and the rating. However, on actual search results the rating still does not coming through. For example, use this link to see the Rich Results of a particular page: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nikkidinkicooking.com%2Fblog%2Fcreamy-spicy-corn-dip.html&user_agent=1 If you preview the result, you can view the recipe card with a rating on it. Disclaimer: on the rich results testing tool it does say, "This is a beta version. Not all rich results and error types are supported yet." Has anyone had any success displaying ratings on Google search results? What was your implementation?
  2. Site URL: http://salixkids.com My issues with the recommended options of Disqus, Facebook plugin, HTML Comment Box, and Rating Widget is that none of them offer a combination of text and stars. I tried to use a site called YOTPO, but couldn't get it to work. Their instructions included placing <script type="text/javascript"> (function e(){var e=document.createElement("script");e.type="text/javascript",e.async=true,e.src="//staticw2.yotpo.com/ffhJAd8MPLIDiISOK4Ac7zqyKwG3bQ0tSdPmrYdm/widget.js";var t=document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];t.parentNode.insertBefore(e,t)})(); </script> that script into the head tag of the site, then <div class="yotpo yotpo-main-widget" data-product-id=β€œproduct” data-price=β€œ10.0” data-currency=β€œUSD” data-name="Actually, I Can Book &mdash; Salix Kids" data-url="https://www.salixkids.com/shop/actually-i-can-book" data-image-url="http://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e7e82b630df6e33f1198f30/5e7e84a1554fd6780a7b6043/5e7e8dd9075b346ec3b8eeec/1592345247299/?format=1500w"> </div> this into the individual products pages. But nothing happened so I ended up taking it out.
  3. Site URL: https://www.jonasstensgaard.com/free-craft-files-svgs-and-more/free-heart-arrow-svg-files I'm on the York template and I'm using the Rating Widget to add a rating option on my products. I want to do two things: 1) How do I remove the "Rate this" box? It's not pretty, takes up space and seems unnecessary. 2) More importantly, I want to move the rating to underneath the Add to Cart button on my product pages. Is that possible? In the example shown, we're in the freebie section and I've replaced the Add to Cart button with a "FREE" text but that probably shouldn't change anything? This is the Javascript code I've inserted into the site wide footer code injection as instructed by the Rating Widget website: <script type="text/javascript">(function(d, t, e, m){ // Async Rating-Widget initialization. window.RW_Async_Init = function(){ RW.init({ huid: "453808", uid: "8f1f467d9b5cc29128dfe57c5c13d115", source: "website", options: { "advanced": { "font": { "hover": { "color": "#3C68BB" }, "color": "#3C68BB" } }, "size": "medium", "label": { "background": "#B6C3DB" }, "style": "flat_yellow", "isDummy": false } }); RW.render(); }; // Append Rating-Widget JavaScript library. var rw, s = d.getElementsByTagName(e)[0], id = "rw-js", l = d.location, ck = "Y" + t.getFullYear() + "M" + t.getMonth() + "D" + t.getDate(), p = l.protocol, f = ((l.search.indexOf("DBG=") > -1) ? "" : ".min"), a = ("https:" == p ? "secure." + m + "js/" : "js." + m); if (d.getElementById(id)) return; rw = d.createElement(e); rw.id = id; rw.async = true; rw.type = "text/javascript"; rw.src = p + "//" + a + "external" + f + ".js?ck=" + ck; s.parentNode.insertBefore(rw, s); }(document, new Date(), "script", "rating-widget.com/"));</script> And this is the on-page code that I've inserted into a code block on the specific product page: <div class="rw-ui-container"></div> Thanks in advance! πŸ™‚
