  1. I am using the Nolan template. To display a full width video with no padding on top so it stick on top of the section, what code do I need to inject in the css ? I tried some code and it seems ok-ish but not sure. For the padding on top it seems in particular challenging for mobile, think I need some more specific code there. General site-spacing I am using: Page-width max: 2400px Page Margin: 2vw Besides the video I would like to adapt another section with image-stacks to full width images on the mobile version of my site. Which CSS code should I use for both video and images to be make it look perfectly smooth? Hope you guys can help 🀞
  2. Site URL: https://www.theduophotography.com Hey, as im a photographer want to share my photos in blogs. I like the stack gallery but the problem is that i cant put two portrait images on the same raw or make any changes so i decided to add each photo separately with photo blocks as some times i want to add two portrait photos or maybe three on the same row. The issue is that with this way there is a lot of padding between photos and i find it distractive. Attached you may find a photo (by photographer Joy Zamora) to get what i mean. How can i make the padding between photo blocks in blog pages to look like this? thank you
  3. Site URL: https://www.rubysplace.org/ Currently struggling with identifying the issue that is causing the extra spacing on the left and right of two of my content blocks. When I'm in edit mode, there is no spacing that appears, so I'm not sure why it appears when the site is live.. If anyone could help me with this, that would be great!
  4. Site URL: https://www.alceasurrogacy.com/surrogate-process I'm trying to add anchor tags to this page, but I'm having issues with the couple of different ways I'm doing it. Page is in progress. Any fix out there? I can rework the page to have either option on all sections. 1. On the page now - trying to add a hidden code block to have the list word link to section below. Unfortunately, the code block creates a huge space that makes everything uneven. See attached file for space under "What to Expect" instead of having it perfectly centered. 2. I also tried incorporating the header text into the code (<h2 id="pregnancy">Pregnancy</h2>) - this works, but the anchor text link then takes me to the section below, not the header text I'm including the anchor text in.
  5. Site URL: https://www.therationalonline.com/reading/netflix-tiger-king-exploits-wild-animals-entertainment Is it possible to move the first line of article text, in my case subtitle, next to the Title via CSS so it's scalable across all posts? The post title element is entry-title. Note: Adding the text directly to the Title is not an option unfortunately. That's how I have it now but it's causing issues so I need to make a change. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows the CSS code that would adjust the padding around images in the Harris template. I would like there to be no padding top and bottom, so that the two images touch. If I try to place it as a single image, the text overlaying the orange part of the image can extend into the equation on the top, which is why I needed to separate into two pieces. The image shows in edit mode the padding around the image. The site is not live yet but I've also attached what I believe is the relevant source code if that helps (sorry had to do a screen shot so it was an accepted file type). The site is still in the works, so there is still some content from the starting point website from the Harris template. Thank you for any guidance you may have!
  7. I'm working on my first site in 7.1 and I'm frustrated with the massive amount of space after a header when I do a hard return, For example, if I have one line in H1, hit return, there is a large space between the first line and the second one, whether it's a paragraph or another header, Is the any way to reduce the spacing when I do a hard return after a heading? Tweaking line height in the style editor doesn't help.
  8. Site URL: https://www.loveleecreative.com My mobile view has a lot of white space above and below items. I have adjusted the padding in site settings, but then it is too small for website view. I need a custom code that I can target at specific blocks to remove this extra space that is showing up on the top and bottom of items. Any ideas?

  14. Site URL: https://nextcitylawyer.com/free-resources/the-truth-about-virtual-vacation-schemes Good afternoon I have added anchor links to the blog posts on my website in order to make it easier for visitors to navigate long blog posts. The anchor link functionality works well, but the code block includes a substantial amount of top and bottom padding which breaks up the page. It's more than the equivalent with a conventional h3 header. <p id="attitude"><h3> 1. Attitude </h3></p> This is an example of the code that I have used on the linked page. Is there a way to reduce the vertical padding between the blocks of the text? Thanks for your help in advance. I regard anchor links as a core feature of any blogging platform so it would be very useful to get some guidance on this issue.
  15. Site URL: https://www.markhilton.me Hello, I am curious as how to change the color of the margin padding on my site which uses the Jasper template. I can't seem to find the option in Design > Site styles. I would like to make the margin padding a light grey for focus the reader's eyes on the actual content and provide definition. I have picked out a color to use with a hex code, so if someone could provide the appropriate CSS code, I would appreciate it.
  16. Site URL: https://www.bottlerocketrecording.co.uk/ Hi @tuanphan, @RyanDejaegher, @paul2009, @bangank36, @christyprice I've recently redesigned my site – transferring from Pacific to Brine. I'm pretty much there now apart from some frustrating glitches on mobile view, as explained below. On mobile: The header at the top keeps mysteriously adding 8px + worth of padding to the top and bottom which is contributing to – if not wholly – causing it to obscure my section headings when using index scrolling from the hamburger menu. I've isolated the .mobile bar section and removed 8px with CSS but if you compare it to the desktop view there is clearly still more white space added around my branding box. Cosmetically – I'd obviously rather it were thinner but it's not that big a deal, but I do need it not to obscure my headings during scrolling, so it has to be fixed one way or another. On Mobile, BLOG PAGE: There is another mystery white space between the "Notes from the Studio" intro Banner and the nav/branding bar at the top. I've tried reducing padding to that area using CSS and site styles. In most cases just causes the "notes from the Studio" banner to be chopped into. I've also tried that banner image in a number of different shapes and sizes and always get the same issue. Furthermore there have been many occasions where I seem to have fixed it – I go to my mobile device immediately after editing and it displays perfectly as as it should. Then then on reloading the page – the white space jumps back – almost saying "WAIT, I'M STILL HERE!, pushing the banner down again. This has been incredibly frustrating, especially when resizing and adjusting the padding to the "notes from ..." image block. In the section editor, Squarespace will show that I've solved the problem – everything looks fine – and then I open it on my actual phone and the white space is either still there or I've chopped the top or bottom off my banner. My only conclusion is there must be some rogue code somewhere that's over-riding everything or even a ghost block that can't be deleted that is pushing things to flow around it. Hoping someone can shed some light! Thanks!
  17. Site URL: https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/ Hi, Could someone please help me? On most of my pages I have the carousel like you can see on: https://pigeon-orange-s7hm.squarespace.com/ (Pwd: Suzi) I would like for all of these carousels found on most of my project pages to have some spacing i.e the blue on the page to be a divider between the images. Like this: Is this possible with CSS? Thanks!
  18. Hi, I've been trying different CSS coding examples posted on different forums but none are working correctly. Some because I don't know how to insert ID. I'm trying to remove the top and bottom padding on my portfolio page. The minimum height for padding is 10 and I would like it to be 0. Also, it would be great if I could know how to do this on other sections/pages as well.

  20. Site URL: https://saxophone-caterpillar-j8fn.squarespace.com/test Hi! I'm trying to remove all distance between image blocks. I managed to do it on desktop. But when I use two blocks one next to the other and the mobile version moves the second block below there's a white space. .sqs-block.image-block { padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0 !important} Thank you!!! https://saxophone-caterpillar-j8fn.squarespace.com/test Password: test

  23. Site URL: https://www.aronjones.co.uk/writing/2020/6/22/compact-ui-for-call-of-duty-warzone Hi there I'm using the York template and have recently added a blog post. Unfortunately the width is too wide in the actual post and I would like to reduce it without affecting the site padding elsewhere. So it just affects the blog posts. Please be aware I'm using existing CSS to handle template issues that York has such as; .overflow-wrapper { overflow-y: hidden; } This is to stop double-scrolling on mobile. And I use this; #site { padding-bottom: 20px !important; } This is just to add some padding to the bottom of the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Aron.
  24. Site URL: https://suzan-terzian-draft.squarespace.com/homepage-content As I'm not familiar with CSS coding at all, I would like to ask a general question here about padding. How do I reduce (or adjust) the padding on the left and right hand sides for ALL my pages at one go? So that there's some white space between my content & the left and right edges of my desktop screen. Using Brine template, Squarespace 7.0
  25. Site URL: https://www.sitis.be/ Hi there, I have some troubles to fix the display of my Primary nav bar on Moksha Template (Brine family). I don't understand why it's sometimes aligned horizontally (which is the expecting result) and sometimes stacked as on the 2nd screenshot below. (Same screen size for both). I noticed this issue with Chrome and Firefox engines. I tried these following codes but I'm obviously not a boss and of course it didn't work > in Custom CSS : .Header-nav-inner { display: inline-block !important;} and .header-nav-folder-item {text-align: inline block !important;} Any clues to fix that ? Many thanks in advance ! AurΓ©lie
