  1. Our nonprofit website sells memberships that can be purchased via a monthly subscription (built into our commerce site as a subscription service). The challenge lies in the fact that every month when each individual monthly subscription renews every month, we (as well as the purchaser) receive a "New Order" notification email. This looks exactly the same as a genuine New Order and there is no way to easily differentiate between the two. Our volunteers have to compare the name/email address within the order to our current member list to determine if this is in fact a New Order or actually a renewal disguised as one. This is tedious and time consuming... and seems so unnecessary! I'm guessing we are not the only ones frustrated by this (shocking) limitation. Squarespace does not offer us an option to modify the content of the renewal email notifications. Is there any sort of coding workaround that could accomplish this??!! I'm getting desperate over here for any sort of fix!

  3. Hi for www.radtalkwithtracey.com I am the designer who built her website, so all of her scheduling e-mail notifications go to my e-mail, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the squarespace scheduling dashboard to change the e-mail notifications - how do I swap this out?

I'm having a similar issue - I have created an online yoga/pilates portal for a client but the order confirmation message that is displayed on-screen after purchase doesn't include a link to log into the portal (I'm using members area) and I cannot find this page on the back end to edit it. I have attached a screen shot of the current confirmation message that is displayed. I see in the Commerce > Customer Notification > General orders there is a list: > Order Confirmed > Order Fulfilled > Order Refunded > Digital Downloads I wonder if there's any intention to build a email template tailored towards events (like there is for digital downloads)? I have a client who wants to use QR codes sent with the email order confirmation as a way to verify the purchase at the event entry. Does anyone know a way to make this happen outside the existing framework of Squarespace? Or, alternatively is there any plan to include this kind of functionality within Squarespace? It would be cool to automatically send an email to a reviewer when he leaves a negative review on my site. Maybe I should search for a customer review widget that would help me reply to reviews?

I added a promotional pop up and it's connected to Google Drive. I can see an entry in there for my test for my own subscription and this is part is working, but no email is being sent to my email account. Right now I'd have to open up the file multiple times to see if there is an entry in there. I checked my Primary, Social and Promotional inboxes as well as my spam and there is nothing. Can someone please assist? Thanks!

I usually print a PDF, but this is a manual process. Surely there must be a way for the customer to view and print their own invoice? Cheers. DC.

When I order the book, I get 3 emails in my inbox, Confirmation, download link and 'arrived'. It could really all be in one, or at least I'd like to get rid of the 'arrived' one. Anyone know how? It contained not only an access code for the event that seemed randomly generated, but also a link to the event with the code appended to it. Was this developed custom or can Squarespace do this?

We even hired an Active Campaign expert and she tried for several weeks and it's still not working. I just made a 4 minute screen recording to explain what's going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBfeuQRy0x0&feature=youtu.be I've been assuming all this time that something's wrong with the way it's set up in Active Campaign, but an AC person from Australia took a quick look and suggested it may be a problem on the SquareSpace side of things. In any case, we've been ready since before Christmas to launch our 12 week online course on mindfulness and the brain, and are just waiting for this sole piece to get fixed.   13. Hi, It feels like a no-brainer that you should be able to set different types of customer notifications, in this case an order confirmation with a link to the purchased (access) webinar. Why is this not a standard feature and how to solve this asap? I really need this to be able to work;-0 big thanks!

As our site is complete enough to launch, the designer who built our site transferred ownership to me. We thought we had set permissions properly to cause order notifications to go to me. The only contributer/ admin who has store and billing access is me, the owner. Every test order we place still sends the notification to the previous owner - who has store and billing permissions turned off. We've scoured every settings pane within the site and on my squarespace profile. Cannot figure out why this is happening. Any ideas? I've searched but can't seem to find this issue on previous posts. If you know of a thread where this kind of issue was resolved, please share a link. Thank you!

  16. I apologize in advance if I am a little long winded with this question. I just want to make sure I am explaining it right. If it's possible, I want my traffic to know when new material has been added. It can be in the form of an auto-generated email, "New Content" monikers alongside menu headers, or an option for users to go to "non-viewed" content. In essence, I want my traffic to know when new content has been added and not viewed. Hopefully this is an easy process through Squarespace options and not a coding job, as I am a pure novice when it comes to coding. Thanks for taking the time!

Although, you can create a free shipping option titled β€œIn-Store Pick Up Option Only” or something similar it is not as effective, because it does not send automated notifications with pick-up details, instructions, and location.
  18. We're using the commerce feature of our squarespace site and sell products that are available as weekly, fortnightly or monthly deliveries. I'd like to be notified when there is a new customer, but currently the only notifications we get are for "A New Order has Arrived". As each repeat delivery is a new order, I'm getting inundated with new order emails, but have no idea when one of these refers to a new customer. How can I be notified when a new customer has signed up and makes their first order?

  20. I started tinkering within the new notifications platform. Specifically, within the the order details, I want to remove the Shipment method block as we are not tied into a specific shipment method. Plus, even if we did I'm not sure how that information gets populated. Also, I just discovered a black bar at the bottom of the new notifications page. If you click on it, it allows you to update your notifications. Looks like a bug to me as the black bar has no text. Thanks.

Sq.Space thought they could complete this through a the product additional information form, but that form is not operational after they paid for the item. The customer cannot submit their digital information until after the service paid for as we have to confirm that they have the appropriate credentials. So, we've been brainstorming workarounds. Can the submission form be sent with the "order fulfilled" notification as that has all the customer/order/service details on it? And if there is a way to get that back to me. Another alternative would be to add a free product to their account/cart which is basically just the submission form. In either case, I would like this to be pre-filled with their order, account, and service items. Each service item does require a digital response and must be tied to that service. Is this something that Google sheets can work with? But . . . I was really hoping to direct them back to the website for all order information. How do you handle customer follow-up? I really could use some help on how to get this done as I do not want to manually do this for thousands of data entry points on an excel sheet and manual customized e-mails. HELP!

I'm attempting to use the donation notification as an official tax receipt for donors and one of the things I am required to include is their address. I know we collect that when they complete the donation transaction so I assume I can pull it into the email using a JSON variable I'm just not sure which one? Thanks for helping me out!

  24. I have a vintage furniture store that sells one off pieces. Customers are constantly asking if they can be put on "a list" for when a certain item comes into the store. I would like to be able to add this custom feature into my online store. It would be ideal if a customer could create their own "wishlist" of things they are searching for and then be notified when an item comes into the store that I have added a tag to that matches what they have tagged as a key word for their search. It would need to be able to do custom tags and broad searches as well. There are many times someone is just looking for a "round dining table" so if they could sign up for notifications on "round" "round table" "round dining table" "dining table" "table". Also people are sometimes hunting for very specific vintage pieces by a specific designer or company, for example... some one could search for "Braun" "Eames" "Bertoia". Kind of like the way Kijiji notifications work! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  25. I have succesfully followed this thread to add a logo in the customer notifications, but how can I control the size of the logo? Its displays a bit too large.
