I'm trying to obtain/send the "order ID" from my site's shopping orders in the new "Customer Email Notifications" editor, but so far its impossible...i require said IDs to attach them in the notification email in order to use the Squarespace API to obtain each order's data (purchase information: article, price, customer-email, etc) and store them in our database. I used to be able to do it by simply adding a command <<{order.id}>> on the confirmation email code in the old editor: Is there a way to achieve this now that the editor is changing?

This all seems to work OK, but there seems to be some pre-populated details on the email notification when the gift card is purchased. I'm able to edit the look and feel of the email, but is there a way I can edit the pre-populated fields. I specifically want to edit/remove this line: To redeem your gift card, go to Site Title as well as replace any references to gift cards. Thanks for all your support on this great forum C

  4. Hi, Love the new pick up feature - we previously simply had this as a shipping option but this is so much better. My only problem is that orders marked as fulfilled show as 'shipped' for customers when instead this should be a 'ready to collect' notification. Most of our orders are shipped but we do get the occasional pick up and our products are made to order so it's not as simple as them just turning up when we're next open. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  5. We're using the commerce feature of our squarespace site and sell products that are available as weekly, fortnightly or monthly deliveries. I'd like to be notified when there is a new customer, but currently the only notifications we get are for "A New Order has Arrived". As each repeat delivery is a new order, I'm getting inundated with new order emails, but have no idea when one of these refers to a new customer. How can I be notified when a new customer has signed up and makes their first order?
  6. Hi, It feels like a no-brainer that you should be able to set different types of customer notifications, in this case an order confirmation with a link to the purchased (access) webinar. Why is this not a standard feature and how to solve this asap? I really need this to be able to work;-0 big thanks!

Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to customize language in the section of the e-mail where I see the Order summary, I need to translate all words that are in english like quantity, price, placed on *** etc. Can I do it in CSS? Is there a way around it? I see it's possible to switch it automatically for the supported languages but my language is not one of them yet. Thank you!

Working on this site: www.petitjeanjewellery.ca, password: julesjewels My question surrounds the shop page. The actual shopping experience takes place at a different URL, https://petitjean.jewelershowcase.com which, before you ask, I cannot modify at all. The squarespace shop page therefore is just a list of hyperlinks pointing to that other site. When clicking on a shop category, early test users are finding it confusing to be linked away from the 'squarespace' environment and into a new one, with the familiar layout and navigation bar suddenly gone and no way to get back. So I'd like to alert them any time they click on a link beginning with "https://petitjean.jewelershowcase.com". A shadowbox-type alert that says "We are about to launch our online shop in a new tab. Ok/Cancel/Learn More." I'll attach a mockup image. I'm reading about modals, but can't seem to make them work in squarespace. Nor do I know how to make them appear only when a hyperlink is clicked that begins with "https://petitjean.jewelershowcase.com". I usually print a PDF, but this is a manual process. Surely there must be a way for the customer to view and print their own invoice? Cheers. DC.

I am not receiving Blog Comment notifications in the new iCloud email account I used for this new site. It worked fine with my other iCloud address, and I have 1) added all of the Squarespace addresses into my Contacts, and 2) added them to my Rules, but still no notifications. I believe the address may be the issue as it used to be my Apple ID. I wanted to change it back to my other iCloud address, but get the alert in red: "email address already exists" even though the account no longer exists. Is there a way to get that email address back so I can use it again? Thanks.
  11. Our nonprofit website sells memberships that can be purchased via a monthly subscription (built into our commerce site as a subscription service). The challenge lies in the fact that every month when each individual monthly subscription renews every month, we (as well as the purchaser) receive a "New Order" notification email. This looks exactly the same as a genuine New Order and there is no way to easily differentiate between the two. Our volunteers have to compare the name/email address within the order to our current member list to determine if this is in fact a New Order or actually a renewal disguised as one. This is tedious and time consuming... and seems so unnecessary! I'm guessing we are not the only ones frustrated by this (shocking) limitation. Squarespace does not offer us an option to modify the content of the renewal email notifications. Is there any sort of coding workaround that could accomplish this??!! I'm getting desperate over here for any sort of fix!

  13. Hi for www.radtalkwithtracey.com I am the designer who built her website, so all of her scheduling e-mail notifications go to my e-mail, and there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the squarespace scheduling dashboard to change the e-mail notifications - how do I swap this out?

I'm having a similar issue - I have created an online yoga/pilates portal for a client but the order confirmation message that is displayed on-screen after purchase doesn't include a link to log into the portal (I'm using members area) and I cannot find this page on the back end to edit it. I have attached a screen shot of the current confirmation message that is displayed. I see in the Commerce > Customer Notification > General orders there is a list: > Order Confirmed > Order Fulfilled > Order Refunded > Digital Downloads I wonder if there's any intention to build a email template tailored towards events (like there is for digital downloads)? I have a client who wants to use QR codes sent with the email order confirmation as a way to verify the purchase at the event entry. Does anyone know a way to make this happen outside the existing framework of Squarespace? Or, alternatively is there any plan to include this kind of functionality within Squarespace? It would be cool to automatically send an email to a reviewer when he leaves a negative review on my site. Maybe I should search for a customer review widget that would help me reply to reviews?

I added a promotional pop up and it's connected to Google Drive. I can see an entry in there for my test for my own subscription and this is part is working, but no email is being sent to my email account. Right now I'd have to open up the file multiple times to see if there is an entry in there. I checked my Primary, Social and Promotional inboxes as well as my spam and there is nothing. Can someone please assist? Thanks!

It contained not only an access code for the event that seemed randomly generated, but also a link to the event with the code appended to it. Was this developed custom or can Squarespace do this?

We even hired an Active Campaign expert and she tried for several weeks and it's still not working. I just made a 4 minute screen recording to explain what's going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBfeuQRy0x0&feature=youtu.be I've been assuming all this time that something's wrong with the way it's set up in Active Campaign, but an AC person from Australia took a quick look and suggested it may be a problem on the SquareSpace side of things. In any case, we've been ready since before Christmas to launch our 12 week online course on mindfulness and the brain, and are just waiting for this sole piece to get fixed. As our site is complete enough to launch, the designer who built our site transferred ownership to me. We thought we had set permissions properly to cause order notifications to go to me. The only contributer/ admin who has store and billing access is me, the owner. Every test order we place still sends the notification to the previous owner - who has store and billing permissions turned off. We've scoured every settings pane within the site and on my squarespace profile. Cannot figure out why this is happening. Any ideas? I've searched but can't seem to find this issue on previous posts. If you know of a thread where this kind of issue was resolved, please share a link. Thank you!

  24. I apologize in advance if I am a little long winded with this question. I just want to make sure I am explaining it right. If it's possible, I want my traffic to know when new material has been added. It can be in the form of an auto-generated email, "New Content" monikers alongside menu headers, or an option for users to go to "non-viewed" content. In essence, I want my traffic to know when new content has been added and not viewed. Hopefully this is an easy process through Squarespace options and not a coding job, as I am a pure novice when it comes to coding. Thanks for taking the time!

Although, you can create a free shipping option titled β€œIn-Store Pick Up Option Only” or something similar it is not as effective, because it does not send automated notifications with pick-up details, instructions, and location.
