  1. Site URL: https://www.effektfootwear.com/signup Hi all. I have been scouring the web to figure this one out, found my way here, but cannot seem to get the code working. I'm looking to remove the "Last Name" field required for email sign up. I currently have business plan, have tried pasting a variety of codes I have found on the web and nothing seems to work. I am trying to apply this to the landing page where I have successfully removed the header and footer as I want the sign up to be the only action people can take. Is anyone able to help? Thanks, Ben.
  2. Site URL: https://www.marieforleo.com/ Hi everyone, Is it possible to create a design similar to the "Ideal Design" in the attached image? I am trying to make it really simple for someone to download my freebie on our website so I can grow my email list. Marie Forleo is the best and easiest email sign up I have found - www.marieforleo.com SQUARESPACE NEWSLETTER BLOCK TWEAKS β€’ Include an image β€’ Remove "Surname" field β€’ Stylise similar to Marie Forleo Can anyone recommend any advice or tutorials to follow? Our Website if needed - https://www.betsyandfrancis.com/ Thank you so much, James & Nicole
  3. Site URL: http://www.iamchristiankasper.com Hello, I receive recently a lot of spam and random email addresses are being added to my newsletter list. Therefor I want to use a reCAPTCHA. But the integration is not working. In the edit mode it shows the reCAPTCHA and it doesn't mention any errors (e.g. "error for site owner: invalid site key" or domain errors) But when I go to my site, scroll down to the footer and add a email address inside of the newsletter form it didn't show the reCAPTCHA. Anyone knows what the issue is?
  4. Site URL: https://www.yogalafontaine.com Hi! We'd like to offer people to subscribe to our newsletter on social media or even having a link at the bottom of our emails. How is this possible with Squarespace? I only see the newsletter block, but that doesn't give this option. I've seen some other companies sharing a URL where people can subscribe. Thanks for your help!
  5. 1) I want to replace the "subscribe" text with a simple arrow and remove borders - this will hopefully decrease the width 2) I want to replace the "email address" default text in the form field to "your@email.com". 3) Lastly, I want to show it exactly the same way on mobile version. Have spent hours trying to update this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Site URL: https://strawberry-octahedron-5jc2.squarespace.com/ Hi, I am trying to change the name placement text from black to white so it shows up. I managed to do it for the email but can't get it working for the name. This was the code I used to change the email. .homepage .field.email input, .homepage .field.email input::placeholder, .homepage .field.email input:focus { color: white !important; } Thanks! Nicole
  7. Site URL: http://www.cynren.com Hey, everyone. I have a newsletter subscription pop-up. I would like to send an auto-email to new subscribers when they sign up, confirming their subscription and offering a discount. I cannot find where to set up that email, though. Any clue? Thanks.
  8. I have done some custom code on the newsletter email box to surround the submit button with the same border as the field itself using absolute positioning. My issue is that if you click the "Book a Demo" button without entering an email, the error message offsets (moves down) the form email field, but doesn't offset the button. As a result I get strange spacing as shown in the screenshot below. Any JS ideas on how to stop the error message from offsetting the field? Because the button has an absolute position and the field does not, I assume that is how it would have to be done, I just don't know which code to invoke to do it. Thanks!
  9. Site URL: https://reductionroadmap.dk/ Hi Forum, I am asking, like so many before me, for help concerning the newsletter block. I would like for the fields and the button to be wider and more narrow - which I tried to illustrate in my extremely poor drawing attached. I've tried different ways around it, in CSS, but never succeeded in what I wanted, which is why I am turning to you. Any help is much appreciated! 10. Site URL: https://papaya-armadillo-7acs.squarespace.com/ Site password: design101 Hello, my newsletter form fields are not aligned, instead staggered. Can you please help? (Both on bottom of home page and also 'Journal' page)
  11. Hi, So what I'm trying to accomplish is when a customer clinks on a specific page on my website, they have to submit their email address to view the page. If they try to close out of the pop-up or click away, they can be redirected back to the home page. Kind of like an age verification popup but for newsletters. Does anybody know how I can accomplish this? Thank you!
  12. Hoping there is a way to make my newsletter block global so it appears on every page before the footer? I don't want it in the footer, because I am unable to change the background color of it that way and there are spacing issues. Attaching a picture of my newsletter and footer setup.
  13. Site URL: https://saffron-ellipsoid-ef4m.squarespace.com/ Hi there, A client has constant contact and we had to set up a zap to capture email signups on the SS newsletter form that's on many pages and on the blog signup page. Is there a way to circumvent this? We haven't seen this on any other sites we've built and wonder if it's new? When we try to disable it, we get Disable reCAPTCHA? At least one verification type is required for Squarespace Email Campaigns. To disable Google reCAPTCHA, Confirmation Email will be enabled. But we aren't using SS email campaigns -any ideas? Thanks!
  14. I am creating several of the same newsletter box throughout my blog post pages. How can I ensure that all the contact information from those newsletter boxes go the same Google spreadsheet? I gave them the same Google spreadsheet title. Will they overwrite each other or make a list of emails collected from the group of newsletter boxes?
  15. Site URL: https://dylansoffice.com/mailing-list I would like to edit the newsletter button size and padding to be flush with the form field. Was also wondering if I could change the look of the recaptcha box to just a simple box with custom text...? Attached is a current image of site and the desired look.
  16. Site URL: https://jellyfish-kumquat-hdzl.squarespace.com/ Hey everyone, I'm still fairly new to customising Squarespace using CSS and have spent a while attempting to format the newsletter block to look similar to the example pictured. Specifically the "Email Address" field and "Submit" buttonβ€”I want these on one line without a gap between as seen in the attached screenshot. I managed to get things looking fairly close but couldn't get everything to work for mobile/smaller screens specifically, every time I preview on mobile the newsletter block reverts back to displaying the field stacked above the button, ideally it would all remain as one single line and scale to fit the screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated! URL: https://jellyfish-kumquat-hdzl.squarespace.com/ Password: TEMP_B1803
  17. Site URL: https://burgundy-rust-kn4s.squarespace.com Hi. Like many before me, I am having trouble editing the newsletter block in the footer. I would like to reduce the size of it and make it inline with the marquee banner and social icons.
  18. Site URL: https://larobenumerique.com Hi! I would like to add a checkbox to a newsletter bloc. This feature does not yet exist so i was wondering if any of you had find a way to do so using added code (though the newsletter bloc does not allow us to add code either...) ? Thanks !
  19. Working for an nonprofit that sells a variety of products. Some are physical (merchandise -- dance gear, CDs, books), but our primary sales are event tickets, live workshops, and dance class series. We often have to send out updates about classes and events and have been doing so (until recently) by exporting our sales on Squarespace and copy/pasting email addresses into our company email, then sending from there--not through squarespace. It's been a total slog and it's time to start using squarespace as our main database for emails, marketing, and customer profiles. While we've successfully set up automated emails via Marketing to go out immediately after specific purchases, we'd like to have a way to easily send out follow up emails to those same customers. Is there is a way for Squarespace to automatically populate mailing lists based on costumers' specific purchases? We only recently upgraded to user profiles so part of my confusion comes from managing profiles... Feels like there should be a way to search our customer profiles for specific item purchases but I'm not finding them. I see that we can manually add tags to individual customers, but that seems a little backwards to me (ex. If I want to add a tag to customers who purchase purchased tickets to a specific show (ie - Tag: "Holiday Show 2021") how can I find out who purchased them without squarespace auto-generating that information in the profiles hub? Trying to figure out what makes the most sense when it comes to user profile management for the org at this time. I'm not opposed to using Eventbrite or Scheduling, I just feel like there is a way to manage mailing lists and send e-blasts through squarespace based on specific purchases. Is there? Hoping that this is possible/easy, and that I just am missing something obvious here.
  20. Hi, I'm building a 7.1 website and I've added a newsletter block to my footer but the forum is horizontally centered in the block and doesn't match the design of the other blocks in the footer. I'd like to be able to reduce the margin between "Newsletter" and the actual form, so it's higher in the footer and the block doesn't take as much space as it does. Sorry if I'm not being clear πŸ™‚ Thanks a lot!
  21. Site URL: https://rabbit-mango-4dy2.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi! I am trying to neatly organize 40 individual newsletters hosted by ISSUU. SO I have 40 individual embed codes. How can I display them so they all don't pop up at once. THANK YOU
  22. Site URL: http://www.godsofmarssaga.com Hi there, I tried to use a custom code to make just a line where the email address goes (instead of a box). But then the text "Email address" disappeared. Need help bringing it back and changing it's color to white -- while everything else stays the same (black input background etc). Here's my CSS currently: /*** NEWSLETTER FORM FIELDS ***/ .newsletter-form-field-wrapper input:focus { color: white; } .newsletter-form-field-element { background: transparent !important; border-top: none !important; border-left: none !important; border-right: none !important; border-bottom: solid 2px #ffcc00 !important; } *Also, a note - I am using the Business plan for the site if that matters in any way with the code. Looking for help thanks!
  23. Hi all, I am wanting to have a newsletter subscription option in the footer of my site, however want visitors to be able to choose between multiple newsletters that they can subscribe to. Is there a way for site visitors to choose from a dropdown menu which of our projects they would like to hear updates about and only subscribe to that newsletter? Alternatively, is there a way to code the name fields within the newsletter block so that instead of saying 'First name' and 'Last name', it could say 'Please type which project name you would like to hear updates about'? Thank you!
  24. Site URL: https://lanternfish-springtail-xgn5.squarespace.com/ Hey, I'm having some issues with adding a hover effect on button element in a newsletter block. When I'm in the editor (Design > Custom CSS) everything works great in the site preview, but once I close the editor it stops working. I use a Chrome browser as a default, but I also check the page in Safari and the hover effect doesn't work there either. Here is the code I use: // Newsletter Button Hover // .newsletter-block .newsletter-form-button { transition: all 0.4s !important; } .newsletter-block .newsletter-form-button:hover { color: #ffffff !important; background-color: #D8BD81 !important; opacity: 1 !important; } I used inspect mode to check all classes attributed to this button, but only these seem to kind of work.
  25. Site URL: http://www.arianamartin.com I have a newsletter sign up form on my site linked with Mailchimp. I'm getting LOTS of emails from Squarespace titled 'Mailchimp didn't save your recent Form Block submission' due to spam/suspicious activity. They are all clearly phishing attempts from spambots, because the names/email addresses used are suspicious (see screenshot). I used to get maybe one notification like this per week, but am now getting several per day. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to make my form more secure? Thanks in advance!
