  1. Site URL: https://bassoon-oleander-texb.squarespace.com/ Site password: 12345 Right now, I have a "SHOP" Button in my navigation bar that I moved closer to the Cart icon using CSS edits to its spacing. However, when the window size is reduced/expanded, it moves with the other navigation items and the spacing I'm looking for gets messed up. I've currently used multiple lines to edit the spacing based off the window size as a basic fix: @media only screen and (min-width: 1270px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 280px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} @media only screen and (max-width: 1270px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 200px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} @media only screen and (max-width: 1200px){.header-nav-item:nth-child(5){ margin-left: 180px !important; margin-right: 5px !important; padding-right: 10px !important;}} etc.... However, I'm wondering if there is an easier fix to this and have that particular nav item (SHOP) behave like the Cart icon and Donate Button when the window size is expanded/reduced - so that it remains right-aligned to the window in the same relative position. Same thing when it comes to the grey backdrop. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Site URL: http://levitzmattress.com Hey everyone, I'm trying to get the folder name of my nav bar to link to other page. I know, I know, use <a href>. I did (I used this page for the how-to), and it worked great for a long time. Suddenly it stopped doing anything. It's like the code isn't there. If someone wouldn't mind, could you go to my site (levitzmattress.com). The "Mattress" nav button should take you to /mattresses-3, which is a guide to help get you to the right mattress. What is actually happening is that it taking you to /mattresses-1 which is just the main product page. What makes things even more complicated, is that its taking you to /mattresses-1 and only showing the Tempurpedic category, instead of all of them. Similar issues are happening with the Foundations and Accessories nav buttons. How can I fix this? If you go directly to http://levitzmattress.com/mattresses-1 it does the same thing; only shows you Tempurpedic. I have links in certain marketing assets that take users to this page. I want it to automatically show All categories upon arriving here. How can that be done? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! PS This is the Hyde template.
  3. Site URL: https://www.chrisclearfield.com/conference I'm editing a website that I didn't build, and am having an issue where there is an annoying space between the header navigation menu and the body content. The theme is Brine. In site styles, the only option to adjust the padding is the make the header comically large to cover the space, but I can't figure out why I can't move the body content block up to the header otherwise. It looks like whomever set up the site used some custom code and I'm wondering if that's somehow interfering with the spacing issue. It's across all pages of the site. I'm not a seasoned coder and I'm working with a limited knowledge of it, so I'm hesitant to try to make changes without a little guidance first. I've uploaded screenshots of the page with the space visible and with the header enlarged to mask it. I'm working on a specific unlinked page, but the issue persists across the entire website. Can anyone offer some potential solutions to try and reduce the space since there is no option in site styles that currently affects it at all? Thanks
  4. Site URL: http://katepullendraws.com Hello! I was wondering if someone could help me change my navigation links to images? I have a hand-lettered logo, and so wanted all my navigation to represent a similar style. My site: katepullendraws.com. Thank you!
  5. Site URL: https://armadillo-buttercup-zf85.squarespace.com/ I want to increase the padding between the dropdown items on my site. They are packed in a little too tight. I was able to change the font but not the spacing.
  6. Site URL: https://www.hoth.is/ Hello, A quick question - my website has the name "contact" in a few places (like on the dashboard, see attached). I have experienced that when I paste a link to the frontpage/ home (just what I call it) - it displays the title "contact" ... especially on social media. Not sure where I can correct this because as I see it in my site navigation/ setup the names are "frontpage", "contact" etc and I have not set the frontpage to have the name/title "contact". It's just weird to me but have no idea where to change this. Is this also in SEO settings? Thank you in advance.
  7. Site URL: https://www.andrewmarston.com/design I put a folder titled "Photo" into the my navigation, however the main nav item "Photo" is not clickable. The odd thing is that in the inspector there appears to be an anchor tag in the code pointing to a link that redirects to the correct page. Does anyone know how to fix this? (screenshots attached) URL: https://www.andrewmarston.com/design Thanks!
  8. Site URL: http://www.pentagon-orca-b5y5.squarespace.com Two navigation issues I'm running into using the Pacific template: 1. I am using a code to hide the first listing on my navigation bar but I'm running into an issue as it now seems that when I click on the header to go to that page, it's refreshing and loading twice before allowing me to stay on the page. Any way to solve this issue? 2. I am using a code for sticky navigation for the header and it's covering up my anchor links. Any fix for this?
  9. I'd like to use the option of the header which stacks the logo on top and nav links underneath. But my nav titles are a bit long and there are a few of them so I want widen the container so it's doesn't stack them too. Just to have on one line.. Does anyone know how to do this?

  11. Hey! I'm using the new Squarespace 7.1 and am having some troubles finding any info on making the nav break at a certain point to enable the mobile hamburger icon for desktop. I don't want their typical nav for desktop, just wanting to have the hamburger icon across all devices. Thanks for any help! https://chameleon-porcupine-c7jc.squarespace.com/ password: 1234
  12. Site URL: https://cello-pug-263f.squarespace.com/ Is there any way to hide one title from the side index navigation? The site is one long scroll with a side index, per client request. However, I want to have some panels that wouldn't show up in the side navigation. Is there any way to do this? I'm working around it, but my life would be so much easier if I could split some of the content into separate panels/pages. I'm using a template in the Brine family. If you want to take a look at the page, the password is EnCore1!
  13. Site URL: http://www.terminallyinlove.com Hello, On my website www.terminallyinlove.com , I am using the CSS below to remove the title from the top bar navigation. The resulting issue is that the top bar nav is off-centered. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate. Is there any additional CSS I can use to fix the offset? I have very little programming knowledge unfortunately. The CSS I'm currently using is: #siteTitle { display: none } div.index.home { margin-right: 0 !important; margin-left: 0 !important; } Thanks for your help!
  14. Site URL: http://madeinorl.com/search Any news on when this function will appear? I've now got clients who need this and it's not working. Everything is done except for this last thing. Please please tell me I don't have to build it over in 7.0 to get search to work.

  16. Site URL: https://harmonica-pike-dxz2.squarespace.com/ Site Password: Twilight450 Hey everyone, I'm currently experiencing a bit of an issue with the mobile version of my site. As you can see in the attached image, the nav menu is semi-transparent and shows a lot of the background of the website, instead of being 100% opacity and covering the background like I want. I believe this is because the color scheme I'm using has 50% opacity on the background color, but I can't find an option for mobile specifically. Is there a work around for mobile specifically? My client and I really enjoy the darker blue background color we get from the 50% opacity option, but this mobile nav is obviously unusable. Thanks in advance!
  17. Site URL: https://groundhog-decagon-w8be.squarespace.com/ Site Password: Twilight450 Hello! I'm trying to change the way the animation works on the navigation links on my clients website. The default way it works with SquareSpace is, you click on the link and it takes you to a page, and when you hover over the link you're currently using (page you're on) it changes shade (lightens up, typically), whereas the other pages don't and are the same when hovered over. I want to make this the opposite, where all links react when you hover, except for the active link. Is there any way to do this using CSS?
  18. Is there any way to turn the template generated navigation links into anchor links? So instead of opening a new page, the site jumps down the page to the anchor link. I am using the Harris template and my client has decided he wants it to be a single page site, without secondary pages. Is there any way I can achieve this? I have currently added text links to the body of the website to act as the navigation and hidden the template generated navigation. Ideally though I want the navigation to be in the navigation bar and not in the site body. link is here: https://koi-tuba-ck62.squarespace.com/ PW: HaefeleSugaree
  19. Site URL: https://mandolin-dolphin-3ag5.squarespace.com Hello, How do I make the folder title of my website link to an actual page? I tried inserting the code below into the Navigation Title of my folder to link to the "Forest Values" page, but this is not working. In fact, it makes the Navigation Title to be "Forest Values</a>" when it should be "Forest Values." <a href="/forest-values">Forest Values</a> Thank you!
  20. Site URL: https://blueberry-moose-azns.squarespace.com Hello— Using ss7.1 for a portfolio site. I selected the Portfolio index, and would like to adjust the size of auto-navigation text at bottom of portfolio pages...(see image) Is it possible to customize this specific text instead of change overall header sizing? Any lead on where to look to adjust in setting and/or customization would be helpful! Thanks
  21. Hello, How can I get the header on the index (home) page to have a transparent background so the photos are layered behind the text, while maintaining the white background on the other four pages and the fixed position overall? I'm using the Miller template, and the site is http://iggyrabinovich.com/. Thanks!
  22. Site URL: https://www.todoinc.co/ Hi everyone, Just wanted to ask how I should go about adding the word "MENU" right beside the hamburger icon in the navigation. I'm using the Ready template in the Skye template family. Ideally, it would look something like this: What code can I inject here? The site is https://www.todoinc.co/
  23. Site URL: https://harmonica-pike-dxz2.squarespace.com/ *Site View Password: Twilight450 * Hello, so I'm currently trying to make the navigation on this website to be the "sandwich" style with the three lines you can click on, and open up the nav menu. I typically wouldn't like this style, but I feel it would clean the site up a lot more, however I'm unable to find the option anywhere on my 7.1 site. Was this option removed in 7.1, or am I just looking in the wrong places?
  24. Site URL: http://www.kvinnorinomtrading.se Hi! First of all, thank you everyone for your help, especially to @tuanphan here. I am wondering if it is possible to change the font, style and size on the drop down navigation? I would like these in another font and size. Any tip? It would be nice also if there would be a lighter color of the link (only the text) when you are holding the mouse over it, aslo only for the drop down meny. Any tip for that too? Thank you everyone again!
  25. Site URL: https://bassoon-oleander-texb.squarespace.com/ Password: 12345 Very new to this! I'm trying to make the green hover background for the text take up the full space in the folder nest (between each line) without affecting the padding of the text itself. Right now there's a white margin around the hover background due to the padding. Here's the code I'm using: .header-nav .header-nav-item--folder .header-nav-folder-content { top: auto; left: 0em; text-align: left; width: 175px; font-size: 14px; padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 3px; padding-right: 3px; } .header-nav-folder-item { color: #fff ; border-top: 1px solid #b8b8b8; padding: 7px 0 !important; } .header-nav-folder-item a:hover { background: #77AF87; color: #fff !important; } Any help would be greatly appreciated!
