  1. I'd like to remove "2023" from the time metadata on the summary block pictured below. password for page is teamreview. I'm sure it's possible with removing characters from the string w/ javascript but that's a bit beyond my capability. Maybe there's another method as well - CSS soluteion not possible as far as I can tell. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
  2. Hey everyone, My site publishes work from both artists and writers. I'd like to be able to use the author metadata capabilities so that a reader can view all the work by a particular contributor. The issue I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out how to remove the "Written by" text before an author's name on a blog post in 7.1. Does anyone have any css tips and tricks that might be able to help me out? Thank you!!!
  3. Hi Circle Team, I'm developing a new site for a client and they don't want the tags at the bottom of the post. The template seems to have them baked in. I was able to remove the categories metadata from above, but the bottom is uneditable. I think there is some code I can put in there to hide them, but I'm not sure if there is an easier option. Here is some information: Version: 7.1 Template: Colima Thank you!
  4. I would like to add a "Last updated on" date to blog posts. I think either of these solutions would work for me: Showing both the original published date and the updated date or Showing only "Last updated on" date What would be the most efficient way to do this?
  5. Site URL: https://madeofwater.co.uk/ Hi, Is there a way to add meta descriptions to my category pages? Thank you in advance for your help, Joe Made of Water https://madeofwater.co.uk/
  6. Site URL: https://www.sanhowon.com/menu I have a button that links to an uploaded PDF. When users open the file in their computer browser, the "title" does not match the "file name." I screenshot the document properties and you can see they don't match. I want the file name I specified to be displayed instead of "Microsoft Word - Food 2.23.22.docx." (I don't see the title displayed when I click the link with my phone, only computer.) I think this may be related to Metadata but I'm not sure where to edit this for a button's uploaded file? Advice much appreciated!
  7. Site URL: https://callumelsdon.com/ Hi all, Now I'm getting more traffic to my travel blog I'm trying to improve the organisation of the website using article metadata categorisation. I like the way in which a 'blog' page in Squarespace formats and lays out individual posts - example: https://callumelsdon.com/articles . The primary positive to this is that there is no limit to the number of articles I can show with the articles flowing over into other pages to view. I am trying to replicate this look and feel to create pages that display all articles on a specific topic e.g.: one category is hotel reviews another is flight reviews - https://callumelsdon.com/flight-reviews other is news in general The issue is that until now I have used a Summary Block to do these category pages but I'm now reaching close to reaching the maximum numbers of articles that can be displayed (30). Is there a way I can create something that is similar to the blog page type but without setting up a separate blog for every category? All I want to do is for: The main blog to feed through to a new page Define the articles that will appear based on metadata Only the articles with the correct metadata tags appear to readers of the site. Have an 'unlimited' number of articles (not limited to just 1 page of 30 articles). I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.
  8. Site URL: https://cyan-teal-3zmw.squarespace.com/blog-posts I'm looking to achieve a couple of things on my blog collection page: 1) Move the metadata to below the other post content. (This is easily doable on summary pages via the "Design" panel but doesn't appear to be an option on collection pages.) 2) Change the date format from MM/DD/YY to Mon Day, Year. Any help would be hugely appreciated! Site password: governance
  9. Site URL: https://www.understandinginsurance.ie/ Site URL: https://www.understandinginsurance.ie/ I have various blogs in this website – 'types of insurance', 'myth busters' and blog. (The blog is currently being build and not live yet.) I was wondering if there is a way to have different meta-data sets for each blog: author & date for blog, category & tags for types of insurance. Would appreciate any help with this.
  10. Site URL: https://www.reverenceintimateportraits.com/blog-1/2022/6/3/samis-kink-inspired-boudoir-session-4rpws Site PW: jagpo4-jerCag-xesniq Squarespace Version 7.0 I've added custom font to the site, and figured out how to update it nearly everywhere I want to, but can't seem to figure out how to change the font and color of the metadata in a blog post (I want this universally applied to all blog posts). I specifically use the date, category, and tags metadata, and need to change the font on all three (and color). If possible, I'd also like to do the same for the "Likes" and "Share" buttons at the bottom of each blog post, and can't find anything for that either. Here's what I've tried but it didn't work (maybe it's for 7.1 and doesn't work for 7.0, or maybe I'm using the wrong thing entirely): .blog-item-meta-wrapper * { font-family: 'Rosemary' !important; } Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is the last area where I need to change my font but haven't been able to!
  11. Site URL: https://plum-trout-c8tl.squarespace.com/ Heyo, I want to change the color of the meta data in the summary block. I have tried some code but it still has a certain overlay over it. No matter what color I try it always has this sort of overlay. I have already tried: #block-e1205ce284e2c1e398bb .summary-metadata * { font-family: 'albertsanssemibold'; font-size: 1.1rem; color: black !important; } but it is not working as you can see (Metadata is above): I would like it to be just full on black, #000000 Would appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance! Sitepw: j6&1!eA
  12. Site URL: http://clarkandgreendemo.squarespace.com/?password=clarkgreen My client has multiple blog pages on their website to organize their portfolio and a regular blog page (it's a SQSP 7 Brine template so no portfolio option). They would like the portfolio pages (Residential, Commercial, and Cultural) to have NO dates on the main list page and individual post pages. But they want to keep the dates on their regular blog page (called News). I've tried multiple codes and methods to do this and what seems to be happening is that it will work correctly and then randomly stop working. Or I'll open the page and the dates appear, then I'll refresh the browser and they're gone again like they're supposed to be. I've tried SO many different codes and methods and can't get anything to work consistently. Appreciate any insight!
  13. Site URL: https://evolutionofbrilliance.squarespace.com/podcasts/ Hi there, I have a podcast page using a blog and blog summary set up. I am using tags and categories to feature info within the podcast (blog post) page but I don't want these as clickthrough's. I have found and tried various code snippets but I can't get any of these to work for me. Some help here would be most appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!!!
  14. Site URL: https://www.mindovermatterzine.com/ I'm changing my site's fonts using Custom CSS but I can't seem to find how to change the metadata font (author, publishing date, categories, tags). I successfully changed the title, 'read more' link and excerpt fonts using the code below but I cant seem to find how to change the metadata fonts. This happened both for blog and summaries. Please help! Code that I currently use: h1.blog-title a { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; font-size: 20px; text-transform: uppercase; } b.blog-excerpt a { font-size: 12px !important; } time.summary-metadata-item.summary-metadata-item--date { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } a.summary-title-link { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } a.summary-read-more-link { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; } .blog-item-title h1.entry-title { font-family: 'Romana Bold BT' !important; }
  15. Site URL: https://starchefs.squarespace.com/recipes Is there a CSS code I can use the make the primary meta data on a blog summary page the location? Currently, the only options are author, date, or category. I have multiple blog pages and ONLY want this for this specific page (recipes). This is the page: https://starchefs.squarespace.com/recipes The password is starchefs
  16. Site URL: https://www.charmingoilylife.com/diy/kitchenandbathscrub Hi I am very new to CSS. I want to move the tags and categories on my blog posts to the bottom of the page. Attaching a photo of what I want to be moved. Thank you! edit: i cannot upload photo for some reason but it is the wording right below the title
  17. Site URL: http://lifewithtech.net Good day, I could use a hand here. Moving my blog from the 7.0 Tudor template to 7.1 The snag I've run into is getting the Date placed right along with making it behind a circle color and moving the meta to the same spot. Let me know if anyone can lend a hand with this. See the image of the 7.0 site on the right and 7.1 on the left
  18. Site URL: https://www.heyfieldday.com/blog/ I am using two separate blog channels on my website -- one is published (/blog) and the other is currently hidden (/support/library). I want blog posts within "Blog" to show the date metadata on each individual post, but I don't want dates to show on the posts within "Support library". Is there a way to target the CSS of all the posts within a single blog channel, so I don't have to update the CSS to hide the date every time I post in "Support library"? (Or, is there a way to adjust this in settings that I'm not seeing?) I am using a 7.1 Brine template.
  19. Is there a way to display on the 7.1 Blog more than 2 metadata? I want to feature a category, tag, date and author if possible....
  20. Site URL: https://www.lashlinelashes.com/ Hi, In Instagram's direct messaging service, when I send someone the link to my website, it displays outdated information in the "automatic" description preview (see attachment). It's displaying my businesses old location (Ardmore, PA) instead of my current location, which is Philadelphia, PA. Does anyone know how I can correct this. All of my meta information has the new Philadelphia location and even Google's search results reflect that (see second attachment). The only think I noticed is when I view the source code of my wesite, I see the following script which does show the Ardmore PA location, but I have no clue where to edit this: <script type="application/ld+json">{"url":"https://www.lashlinelashes.com","name":"Lash Line","description":"","image":"//images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5ec58c40d6c6ec48d6dc54db/1600369194012-XKFP2FGJ25M4PE8FH8WA/lashline_final_white.png","@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"WebSite"}</script><script type="application/ld+json">{"legalName":"Lash Line","address":"12 West Lancaster Avenue, Rear Unit\nArdmore, PA 19003\nUnited States","email":"lashlinelashes12@gmail.com","telephone":"610 492 1300","sameAs":["mailto:lashlinelashes12@gmail.com","https://www.instagram.com/lashlinelashes/"],"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Organization"}</script><script type="application/ld+json">{"address":"12 West Lancaster Avenue, Rear Unit\nArdmore, PA 19003\nUnited States","image":"https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5ec58c40d6c6ec48d6dc54db/t/5f63b229a4c86449bd3f23f9/1647498282476/","name":"Lash Line","openingHours":", , , , , , ","@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"LocalBusiness"}</script><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://static1.squarespace.com/static/sitecss/5ec58c40d6c6ec48d6dc54db/49/55f0aac0e4b0f0a5b7e0b22e/5f626e193ca1d80fd094daf3/348/site.css"/><script>Static.COOKIE_BANNER_CAPABLE = true;</script> If somone can help, I'd apprecite it. Instagram doesn't offer support.
  21. Site URL: https://marmorevitrum.squarespace.com Hi, On my blog page and blog posts, in the Basic Grid layout, I would like Category meta to be above the Blog Title which it is, and the Author meta to be below the excerpt instead of the Read More link. Also, I would like it to read BY *AUTHOR'S NAME* and not just the author's name. Images of current layout and desired layout below. Thanks, Béa
  22. Site URL: https://robin-impala-w8cj.squarespace.com/config/ Looking to move the metadata on top of images in summary block (possibly a hover effect)
  23. How do I ensure that Google search results have a specific quote under the link and breaks out the sub pages into individual links? I'm not even sure what this is called. Here is an example. Thanks!
  24. Site URL: https://tmha-new-site.squarespace.com/meet-the-artists On the home page, the section with the artists shows their name AND their "category". Is there a way for the category to show on the actual "meet the artists" page too? (password: tamara)
  25. Site URL: https://tmha-new-site.squarespace.com/reviews Is there by ANY CHANCE a magical way to code the meta position to be centered under the square image? Bonus points if I can also make that meta text color #EDEBEB and the pt size be only 7px with a • between the categories shown? (password: tamara)
