  1. I have two blog pages (one for regular posts and one for work/portfolio. How do I remove metadata from appearing on the work/portofilo blog list and post, but not from the regular blog list and page? I found this thread but I'm not sure how to choose a particular blog page when you have multiple:
  2. We currently are using Squarespace's commerce functionality to display physical inventory/availability of our products that cannot be bought online. We use a summary block and tags on each product to show/hide on our availability page. Is it possible with the commerce API or generic Squarespace API to get a timestamp of when the last time a product in the inventory had been updated? This would allow our customers to see how up to date the physical inventory page is instead of manually changing date/time on the page. Thanks for the help and I could not find any information in my initial searches of the API.
  3. Hello community, I want to show 3 Metadata types on my blog posts (author , date, and tags). The brine template which I am using, only allows to show 2 types of Metadata. If I show the author & date using the standard site style options, is there any custom code I can use to show the blog tags at the bottom of each post? I understand how to hide certain elements in Squarespace using custom CSS e.g Item.name{ display:none; } Maybe it is possible to do the reverse with the hidden tags ? If someone could shed some light on this I would great appreciate it. Max
  4. Hi, all - wondering if it's possible to display tags for a blog post in addition to/separately from other metadata (e.g. category, date), and elsewhere on the page. Context: I'm using the Brine template. Under "Site Styles," you can set "primary" and "secondary" metadata to display on any given post — and you can only display two metadata types. By default, those two pieces of metadata display under the blog post title, as below (here, I'm displaying Categories and Date). Question: What I'm wondering is — is it possible to, in addition to the "Primary" and "Secondary" metadata you can set in Site Styles, display a third metadata type (e.g. tags), elsewhere on the page (e.g. at the bottom of the post)? I'd love to be able to have a display at the bottom of a post, near the previous/next links and social share buttons, that lists the post tags (e.g. Tagged under: Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3). Is it possible?
  5. There must some some easy snippet of custom CSS to do this. Anyone know it?
  6. Hello,So say I search for the word "supply chains" in my website's built-in search feature. What shows up are the titles, thumbnails of the articles, and a scramble of words to show the description. It will basically have every sentence in the article with the word "supply chains" in there and italicize the word to produce very incoherent text. Is there a way to get rid of all that description and instead just have the meta description for each article in there? PS. Im using the brine template
  7. I'm looking for a way to add tags to a blog post at the bottom of the post without moving the primary and secondary metadata to the bottom. I currently have those set to author and date at the top of the post. The tags need to be small and at the end of the post. Client's blog is here: https://www.ampersand-law.com/blog/emergency-preparedness-two-free-things-to-do-right-now Thanks!
  8. How Can i make the meda data (price) bigger on this page: https://www.pblmagazine.co.uk/subscribe-1 And possibly move it to the centre? Does anyone have a code for this?
  9. For example, after adding tags to blog posts, a new web page is automatically created. This page contains all other pages that include that tag. The issue is, after crawling my website I've found I have 7 of these pages which don't have meta descriptions, and are affecting my SEO. How can I add meta descriptions to these auto generated pages? I'm using the Tudor template. Thanks!
  10. Hello! I have created a workaround for an author bio on my site, viewable on this page https://bitbloggist.com/video-game-blog-collection/how-to-fix-super-mario-party. It looks great and serves the purpose that I need it to, however, if someone clicks on the author bio (summary list), it takes the visitor to that specific blog page. https://bitbloggist.com/authors/jake-martin I'd like this blog page ONLY to not have meta tags and the comment section, because it doesn't really make sense. Is this possible through page header code injection or post blog item code injection?
  11. I am trying to follow the instructions for Hiding a blog post's author and publication date using the Brine template, but I can't find how to access the Blog: Metadata it talks about for this template. I'm obviously missing something simple.
  12. My .entry-more-link text disappeared on my native blog page. I did format this text months ago with custom CSS, but am not sure why the "read more" text suddenly disappeared. The arrow associated with link is still visible. Any thoughts? fivedesign.co/blog

  17. I've never signed up for Share A Sale as a merchant. It's a $550 non-refundable fee to sign up. Has anybody been able to integrate share a sale's tracking code successfully into SS? I don't want to waste $550 just to find out that SS has some random limitation that can't accomplish this. To be clear. I'm not trying to integrate an affiliate link. That's easy. I want my website to be the one people are driving traffic to.
  18. Hi Guys, Can you tell me if it is possible to do a code insertion to add meta titles and meta descriptions to products? Can you add the meta data and reference a URL or product I.D? At the moment I'm baffled that this isn't possible on product pages. Thanks Matt
  19. I am looking to add markup data to enable rich snippets for Google search.
  20. Hey! I've had a terrible time trying to get data tables of prices to work without using markup blocks. I don't want to use markup because I want the data to be in my SEO and searchable on the site. I also need the client's staff to be able to edit the tables easily and all that markup frightens them. I didn't want to use any third party thing such as embedded google sheets etc. I needed it to be beautiful. Obviously. I'm frustrated by the lack of help from the once amazing squarespace support as all I get is canned answers and links to help articles I have already read. SO! After much thrashing and raging I FINALLY worked out a solution where I use the menu block to layout the data price list in an intuitive, searchable, responsive way. Have a look below: https://kate-burns-9zlf.squarespace.com/squarespace-table-issue Yes, it does require rejigging your data, yes, it does require you thinking in a different way about presenting a lot of information, no it is not good for all data tables. BUT! I think it's pretty good and keeps inside the world of squarespace. I thought it might help some people so I'm posting here. Thanks!
