  1. Site URL: https://www.foamnasium.com/faq-general I've added a markdown block to create an accordion for questions in a FAQ section. https://www.foamnasium.com/faq-general It's functioning, but as I'm trying to style the page, to separate the questions I'd love to get lines between the questions, or some way to highlight the questions with a specific color. Right now they all are pretty jumbled together. Thanks!
  2. Site URL: https://www.adriannexo.com/journal/tag/Travel I've been trying to figure out a way to add a title or intro onto the blog "tag pages" meaning when a viewer clicks on a tag such as "Drinks", the top of the page will say something like "Drinks". I thought it used to automatically have an intro that said "Posts in ___". Is there a way to add that back in? This is one of the tag pages I have. Not sure if CSS or a markdown block is the answer here but I'm hoping someone can help! -- https://www.adriannexo.com/journal/tag/Travel
  3. Hi all, I have set a color for my hyperlinks in the Site Syles section but this color doesn't seem to translate to markdown blocks. I am using a markdown block for an expandable FAQ section and have included some hyperlinks. Unfortunately these links work but they are impossible to see as they remain the same color as the default font. Anyone know how I can have the same color for my hyperlinks in a markdown block? My website is https://www.everlandstudios.com.au Thanks in advance...
  4. Hi all, I'm trying to create a collapsible FAQ section using markdown blocks. The collapsing part works fine. However, Every time I try to add a hyperlink inside of a markdown block, the page freezes and I have to restart my browser. Can anyone else replicate this error and/or offer advice? This is the page I'm working on - https://redesign-90-day-biz.squarespace.com/program-20. Thanks!
  5. Hi I am trying to put a line break into markdown text. The syntax cheatsheet says: *Manual line breaksEnd a line with two or more spaces * I'm not sure if that is correct or I am doing it correctly but that doesn't do anything. I have tried using shift enter but that only gives me a new paragraph. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  6. Site URL: https://lily-clarinet-ms37.squarespace.com/ Hi there! In the past, I've been able to create two Markdown sections and they work fine (under Who I Work With and FAQ sections.) Today I've been trying to add a new Markdown on the Online Therapy page, with a new FAQ section. I've created it, and it is not collapsing. I troubleshooted and created other Markdowns on other pages, and they don't work either (deleted them now.) Could someone please help out? Thank you!
  7. Site URL: https://www.ernestphotovideo.com/real-estate-packages Hello! I am attempting to adjust the size of specific text in a markdown block, and was wondering how to do so. The code for this page is 12345. I have accordion style for my "add-ons" section, and would like the price to be larger than the description. TIA!!
  8. Is there a way to edit the size of an image that is embedded within a markdown block? Currently I'm trying to created a bulleted "to-do" checklist of many items to show which items have been completed and which are still outstanding. That said, I've successfully added the images to the markdown block by using the reference style code found on the current cheat sheet: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543587-Markdown-cheat-sheet Reference-style: ![alt text][id] [id]: /url/to/img.jpg "Title" However, the images are now significantly way too big for the text. Is there a way to scale down the image size within the markdown block code? Thanks in advance.
  9. Site URL: https://www.kendracampbell.com.au/home2 Hi! I have dropped in some custom made icons using the markdown block (I did this rather than an image block so I could keep the icons as svg). What I am now trying to achieve is to have these blocks break into two columns on mobile. Currently they just stack one on top of each other but that just makes it seem like you're scrolling for ages to get past that section. If anybody has any idea how to achieve this it would be greatly appreciated!
  10. hi @tuanphan I want these markdowns to be accordion drop-downs in the additional information section. I have added the code into the code injection (see screenshot and below) following this guide - https://stnsvn.com/blog/how-to-add-an-accordion-to-squarespace and use markdowns for the sections. But its not working. I cant click on the + signs and they do not hide the text below. They are visible like in the screenshot all the time. Any idea how to resolve this? /*Accordion Page Settings*/ <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.markdown-block .sqs-block-content h2').css('cursor','pointer'); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h2").nextUntil("h2").slideToggle(); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h2").click(function() {$(this).nextUntil("h2").slideToggle();}); }); $(document).ready(function(){ $('.markdown-block .sqs-block-content h2').click(function() {$(this).toggleClass('plus-minus');}); }); </script>
  11. Wondering how I can make text appear to be small and float at the top kind of like an annotation. Pretty much exactly like this website is doing: http://www.peiliew.com/ Have been looking around but couldn't find anything. Thanks!
  12. I am trying to add "no-follow" links to our shop, and blogs. In our shop, for instance, I would like to have a button that says: "buy now" but I would like the link to be no-follow. The only way I've found I'm able to add no-follow links is by adding them in a markdown. I'm wondering if it would be possible to create a button either in the Markdown or the Code content clocks that could be no-follow. This is one of the pages I'd like to do this: https://www.heartwoodcustomvans.com/shop-van-conversion-build-tools Thank you for your help.
  13. Site URL: http://www.myartbeatflorals.com I recently watched a tutorial on how to create a collapsible/accordion FAQ page. Worked great...except I just discovered it does not appear as collapsible when I visit my website as a visitor would...on desktop or mobile. In edit/dashboard mode, it works as it should. Here is the code I used: <script type="text/javascript" src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('.markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3').css('cursor','pointer'); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3").nextUntil("h3").slideToggle(); $(".markdown-block .sqs-block-content h3").click(function() {$(this).nextUntil("h3").slideToggle();}); }); </script> And a portion of the customized markdown code I used: ### **HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY FLOWERS TO BE MADE?** While this depends on how many items you order, I typically request a minimum of 8 weeks to complete your flowers. My calendar always fills up quickly each month, so the earlier you book, the better! <hr> ### **HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I ORDER MY FLOWERS?** Everything I create is either wood, silk, fabric, dried, or naturally preserved. This means you can order several months in advance without worrying about wilting or decay! Just keep the flowers in a dry, cool place out of moisture and direct sunlight, and your arrangements can last for years! <hr>
  14. Site URL: https://home.crin.org/test-reports Hi I'm having issues with the Markdown Block. I'm trying to add superscript on a word in a middle of a sentence, but every time I try, it makes the words after the superscript small. How can I resolve this please, thank you very much,
  15. Site URL: https://www.ffhpetcbd.com/faq Hello! I am trying to figure out how to link to each individual question in my FAQ accordion. Is this possible? Any help is much appreciated! https://www.ffhpetcbd.com/faq
  16. Site URL: https://www.nathancashion.com/bigfoot I'm using Bigfoot.js to create inline footnotes that pop-up instead of link to the bottom of the page. It's working great, the only problem is that the version of Markdown on Squarespace doesn't support the syntax for footnotes. The syntax is relatively simple and similar to links: To create a footnote reference, add a caret and an identifier inside brackets ([^1]). My current workflow is to write the post in Markdown using iA Writer. I then copy the document (or, at least, the section of the document with the footnote) as HTML and paste that into a code block on SquareSpace. This obviously isn't ideal or efficient – if I want to add an image to the post on Squarespace, for instance, I have to separate the code blocks since image blocks cannot be inserted inside a code block and the code block will not simply split at a line break like a text or Markdown block will. Is there any solution to enabling the footnote syntax within SquareSpace?
  17. Site URL: https://gregorylassale.com My FAQ page uses accordion-style dropdowns. The text is written in HTML and is a pain to edit. I would like to switch to a Markdown solution and am wondering if the CSS used to style the HTML can be applied whole or in part to Markdown blocks. If some rewriting is needed, how complex would it be? Thanks.
  18. Site URL: http://www.babilrugs.com Hello, I want to change of the Markdown block link color. How can I do that?
  19. How do you include an image and a video in a markdown block?
  20. Hello, I have injected the markdown block code to expand FAQ style sections on a specific page on my website and this code now appears on top of the page (uploaded image). The page is currently disabled from my website as I'm still in the building process. Does anyone have a light about why this is happening? This is the code that I have injected Thank you in advance!
  21. Site URL: https://www.tenovermedia.com/studio Hey there! I have an issue with my Scroll Reveal animation on mobile. The titles are supposed to show up from left or right, but the animation doesn't work on mobile for all titles coming from the left (like #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1601465453868_13770 for example). Could anyone help me with this issue? Thank you very much 🙏
  22. Good day, Need some help. I'd like to get less space between the subtext and H1 text on my website. I'm using a Markdown box. I'm trying to figure out how this works. Been searching but can't find the solution. See screenshot. Piebie
  23. Site URL: https://hyperboloid-potato-aefg.squarespace.com/ I'm using a markdown block so I can create a border around content on my site. I've achieved the border by creating a custom CSS class .boxinfo Inside my markdown block, I created a div and put my content inside it. This worked well for creating the border, but I noticed that links just appear as regular text. So I added CSS for the links. The CSS for a:link works CSS for a:visited does not work most of the time I've noticed that sometime, the CSS for a:visited DOES work. In the screenshot below, it works for one link, and not for the other. Very strange Here's my CSS: .boxinfo { border: .25em solid #1779B5; border-radius: 1em; padding: 10px; } .boxinfo a:link { text-decoration: underline; color: #0a4564; } .boxinfo a:visited { text-decoration: underline; color: green !important; } And here's a sample of the markdown: <div class="boxinfo"> <H3>Example header</H3> [General Information][1]<br> [new link][2] </div> [1]: /site-search [2]: /for-patients For some reason, the styling is working for the first link, but not the second link (in "Preview mode"). See screenshot 1. However, when viewing the site on an icognito window without being logged in, the styling does not work at all. See screenshot 2. Does anyone have any tips for me?
  24. I've tried using the < del>< /del> html tag, but is there something special I need to do with Markdown in order to get the text strikethrough to appear in my text block?
  25. Looking to find coding to have a multi-layered accordion dropdown in my FAQ. + Heading 1 (question 1 and question 2 are housed in this heading and then each question can be dropped down as well) + Question 1 Answer + Question 2 Answer
