Greetings from Copenhagen Are there some of you knowledgeable people who know how to get margin / padding to be less from the logo and menu to the top of the page, without changing the actual margi/padding on the sides. Unfortunately, the template does not allow this, which is why I hope a CSS code will help. Thanks in advance Regards Sidse

I'm using a typewriter effect on my redesigned site and I've gotten it close to the way I want it to look, but I need some help with the finishing touches, please! How do I get the cursor to finish "typing" after the last period and not continue on to the end of the code block? I have the display set to "flex" but the tablet view still cuts off the A and the period. How do I fix that? (It looks fine on mobile.) And while

Site URL: http://chasepickering.design I have a portfolio website and I am having trouble aligning my content with my header and footer. I want the content to span the full 1200px of my website (line up with the header and footer) and retain the 3vw margin as it is resized. Would also like the left and right navigation arrows to line up with the footer. I have been messing with it for about 2 hours now and cannot figure out a solution. Hope I was clear enough and I would really appreciate the help!

How to increase top margin only on entire site?
jdbaumgart posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.americanlaundryequipment.com Hi there! Wondering if anyone can help me increase the size of the top margin on the entire site. I can adjust the header padding within the site style section, but this also adds space below the header, which I don't want. Looking to just increase the vertical space at the very top only. Thanks so much! -

Site URL: https://www.winstonmaxwell.com/winston-maxwell-art-collective-art-handling Hi, I've been trying to adjust the spacing between the caption and the images, but they're all too big. I've tried the codes I found in some of the questions here, but they don't work on the site. I was wondering if anyone can help me out? We're also on a plan that doesn't allow injecting codes on certain pages only. Thank you. - P

How to change site margin on left-hand side only?
itsjacquiek posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: http://calgarycannabis.squarespace.com I added a vertical navigation, but the code I used isn't shifting the rest of the site over by 15px, which is the width of the nav. It looks off & is no longer centred as a result. Does anyone have a code which can shift the entire site over to the left by 15px? Thank you! calgarycannabis.squarespace.com password: cannabis -
On the mission of building my website and want to add a standard "claims banner" element to different pages. I know very basic CSS and cannot figure out how to adjust the content wrapper on this specific element so the banner spans across 100% of my page's width (no padding, no margin). How can I fix this? Ideally, I would like to create a custom code that would apply every time I upload this same banner file (which is a .png) in different pages of my site. Is this possible? Hope someone can help 🙂 Julia https://jellyfish-cow-prac.squarespace.com/ testj

Site has huge blank space to the right
exceptforturnip posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.courtneychecks.com/ Thank you to everyone who has helped already (crawling these questions/solutions has solved so many issues without even having to ask). TL;DR I'm not a proper designer, just trying my best. I'm now having issues with a huge blank space to the right of my whole site. I can fix it by setting the header's overflow to hidden, but that hides my drop-down navigation, which is, naturally, a higher priority to keep. I'm especially running into issues with a strange issue this causes on mobile viewing on certain browsers, as this causes my drop-down -
Site URL: http://www.domrugman.co.uk Hi, I recently requested some help with my margins on mobile. Since applying the code from the response, my desktop margins seem to have been thrown out of sync from homepage to work page. And the mobile margins still don't line up. I'm hoping to achieve a really slimline margin on all pages, at all sizes, that feels consistent from desktop to mobile. Logo, copy and images to all perfectly align that margin. domrugman.co.uk - pass: dom123 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Dom

Site URL: https://www.shopnead.com/ Hello, I am trying to get an even margin (left and right) for the three main elements of the website. I would like the inset header to lead the size of the side margins across the body and the footer of the website. Would someone be able to help me figure this out? CSS is also fine. This is an example page but ideally it would be the same across all the pages. URL: https://www.shopnead.com/vintage PASSWORD: Radcliff Thank you, Maxime

Adjusting Section padding/margins with personal account
EleniS posted a question in Coding and Customization
Hi everyone Is it possible to adjust the space between two sections if you don't have a premium account (and therefore access to bespoke CSS changes)? If feels like quite a basic design adjustment we should be able to control. I'm using Squarespace 7.1. It seems that bottom padding is the main culprit. I've made sure there are no empty blocks causing the issue. I also looked under Design and the only thing I can adjust are the left and right paddings of the page. Thanks for any support you can give! -
Site URL: https://www.nancygoold.com/ Hello, I was following some advice posted here on how to create whitespace padding around grid items in the Flatiron template which didn't really work. As it didn't work I deleted the custom CSS but for some reason (even after deleting) white margins now remain on either side (left and right) of my site - these are horrible and I'd like to remove them. Have I broken the template? Any help greatly appreciated and thanks in advance, Nancy

Hello. I am using code blocks so that I can customise, format and size my text in different areas throughout my website, without it affecting the general style of the website on a whole. I am not a fan of the general text box because I can not customise the text exactly how I want it. For example I do not want my H1, H2 or H3 titles to be really big, but I do want some text on my website to be bigger or styled differently in certain areas to stand out and grab attention, which is why I am using the code blocks. However, I am finding that the code blocks are not scaling correctly for mobile.

Fix margin consistentcy between desktop and mobile?
domr posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: http://www.domrugman.co.uk Hi, (pass - 0123) I have my margins really tight and simple on my desktop site... But as page width scales down towards mobile, the header and site margins offset dramatially... Then once aligned, the margins feel much thicker than they do on desktop... is there a way to keep margins consistent all the way down to mobile through varying breakpoints? Many th- 3 replies

Adjusting header/page margins when using anchor links
mtaddict posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://bisourouen.fr (password: lachose) Hi, I'm using anchor links on all my pages, but due to the header/nav bar being fixed, the top part of any page (from where anchor link jumps to) is hidden beneath the header/nav bar. So I would like any anchor links to point to the top of any page. I'm using anchor links like this: url with # to the slug url of any page. Any suggestions for how to change this please? Website isn't public yet and using the Version 7.0- famille Brine (template Basilic). Thanks -
