  1. Hello experts, How to increase the the gap between underline and text, while reducing the line hight? My mobile menu on phone and tablet looks ugly. I would like the line hight smaller and the underlines further away from the text. I guess it’s not possible to have a different color instead of an underline…? Also, a hover effect would be fantastic but I think I read it's not possible on mobile…? Here are the codes I am using to get a smaller font size /* Customizing mobile menu */ .header-menu-nav-item a { line-height: 1.6rem; } @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { /* font size for mobile menu */ .header-menu-nav-item a { font-size: 1.4rem; } } /* Customizing tablet menu */ .header-menu-nav-item a { line-height: 1.2rem; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) { /* font size for tablet menu */ .header-menu-nav-item a { font-size: 1.4rem; } } Thank you very much in advance. best, D* Thank you. very much
  2. Hi! I would be curious to know how to remove the underline bellow some links that are actually main titles in my homepage. (not part of the header). I assume it's through code, but if so, how to I add to the code of the section I want to edit? Right now, the only code I can interact with (or add to) is the header code unless I am mistaken. (I don't know much about code) Thanks a lot
  3. Hello, I'm having a problem with a small verticle white line appearing in the header image of my home page when you are scrolled all the way to the top. It disappears as you scroll down the page. I've tried another image, an image without the logo overlayed, a png and a jpg. It also happens on mobile. Screenshots from laptop and mobile are attached with the line I'm talking about circled in red.
  4. Hi, I need help in adding a line in the bottom of each product page in the shop section to make a division between footer and product pages. Thanks. Shop Section: https://zuljewerly.squarespace.com/shop Password: zuljewelry2023
  5. Hi there I have a problem with a bug on my clients website. There‘s a thin line popping up above the picture depending on the browser and the size of the window. It's showing on our clients device, but not on ours or others. We tried to reload the cache and start the computer again already. Can you please help? Many thanks. Sibylle
  6. I got some code from a web developer to take away the menu header and footer for an Instagram link page and it worked great except for the fact that it made my buttons turn to text only and I can't add lines. Would love and appreciate any help! https://homeownerhq.co/instagram Here is the code: <!-- Google tag (gtag.js) --> <script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-MTLGTBFXQR"></script> <script> window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || []; function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);} gtag('js', new Date()); gtag('config', 'G-MTLGTBFXQR'); </script> <!-- Remove the Header (7.0) --> <style> .Header { display: none; } </style> <!-- Remove the Footer (7.0) --> <style> .Footer { display: none; } </style> <!-- Remove the Header and Footer (7.0) --> <style> .Header, .Footer { display: none; } <!-- Remove the Header (7.1) --> <style> #header { display: none; } </style> <!-- Remove the Footer (7.1) --> <style> #footer-sections { display: none; } </style> <!-- Remove the Header and Footer (7.1) --> <style> #header, #footer-sections { display: none; }
  7. HELP PLEASE! On my blog posts, some of them have a double line space between each line and I cannot work out why or get rid of it.. even when I add a new block for some bizarre reason its a double line space. Can you advise please? Thanks
  8. So i've been trying to figure out how to properly format a body of text that i have within an image block that allows for text on either side. This was a template I found here and I've simply changed the copy and imagery to apply towards my business. The problem here is that for days i've yet to be able to create line breaks or spacing between each sentence or paragraph. As you can see, in image one you see that there are 0 line breaks, the text all flows together without any proper line breaks once published. However, when in edit mode, the line breaks are clearly there as i've set them to be. But as soon as I hit publish it all goes back to being text / copy that's all mushed together without any proper formatting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PS i am not a developer or coder at all 🤷🏼 To view the site, simply enter the PW as PureCurbAppeal
  9. I'm using weglot to translate my site in to Korean. I am having an issue where Korean words are being split up across lines. On the English version of the site, line breaks always occur between words - but in Korean line breaks are occurring between characters. Where the line breaks depends on the browser window size, as the responsive text feature adjusts the text. Anyone have a solution to prevent Korean words from being split across lines? url is https://www.thefootprintbook.com/
  10. Hello, I'm trying to reduce the line space in the services block on this page. I've found the code using Squarespace ID however when I put that into css it edits the paragraph of text in the block above. Have tried copying a few different block ID's off that page but still no luck. If someone could help that would be great. Thanks
  11. Site URL: https://www.bubbleteaboss.com Hi, Can someone help me. I've tried existing codes in the forums but they do not work. How do you add vertical lines (dividers) between the items of your navigation bar/header? So far, I only manage to add a | by adding one to the navigation title (in the Pages section) but this is not working right because the | also changes color once you put your cursor on it (e.g. "Home |" becomes a secondary color instead of just "Home"). Does anyone have a CSS code? Thank you 🙂
  12. Site URL: https://www.rotaterecordings.com Hi, Just wondering if any one would know how I could create borders around my product images like in the picture attached? I was thinking of adding image borders using the code below and adding padding? Would I be in the right direction? img { border: 1px solid black; }
  13. Is it possible to add custom line breaks to an individual blog post title in 7.1? I am building my new site and I have my blog set to "wide," but I don't love the long single-line length of the title. I'm attaching an image for reference. I'd love to break the title as follows: Paper suite for a Vermont wedding in the woods Thanks in advance!
  14. Starting to work on a new website and looking to add some character to the header by placing two solid lines horizontal across the page. I have been able to figure out how to do a single line, by adding the following to the CUSTOM CSS, but nothing I do allows me to have a second line in a different color, which is what I am trying to achieve. I am using the MENTOR template and I'd like to have this to separate the header from the main section of the page in the instance where I might not use a banner image .Header { border-bottom: 5px solid #b0b579;}
  15. Site URL: https://gar-grouper-xgll.squarespace.com/config/pages Hello everyone, I would like the vertical line to have the same height like the nav links on the right. The number of sub categories changes so should the line height. Unfortunately, as soon as I change the height from "pt" to "%" the line disappears. Hope you can help me with this issue. .vertical-line { height: 100%; /* line height */ width: 1px; /* line width */ background: #a8a6a1; /*line colour*/ margin-right: 10px; margin-left: 10px; }
  16. Site URL: https://kollektiv.studio/about Hello lovely community, I have been really struggling to create bottom borders and hide those borders for certain sections of the site (images below). The site is using a template I bought (and can't get help from them - long story). There is a sticky image section to the right on both kollektiv.studio/creative and kollektiv.studio/about that I need to 'exempt' or hide the borders/lines on, otherwise they go across the image. The code I tried to use is as follows (But I am getting a syntax error): [data-section-id="62ddaaa1b1b73a149a8ede39”], [data-section-id="62dc3c868c9f8c11cb95963d"] .page-section{border-bottom: hidden} Right now, I am using a makeshift solution that places bottom borders on certain 'children' (see code below) that doesn't interfere with the sticky image, but I would love to do this the other way around (where I have this code: .page-section{border-bottom:0.25px solid #002409} for the entire site and then hiding the bottom border for the sections I mentioned above. .page-section:nth-child(1) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(2) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(3) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(9) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(10) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(12) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} .page-section:nth-child(15) {border-bottom :0.25px solid #002409} This has been a real head banger for me. Hope someone out there can help. Thanks in advance!!!
  17. Hi, random question. I’m not working on one particular site, but for future reference, is SS capable of creating these cool, trendy grid layouts that I’ve been seeing everywhere? SS obviously offers horizontal lines, which is great. But the codes I’ve used for inserting vertical lines can be faulty. Is there a secret/easy way to add vertical lines or to create these cool grid designs?
  18. I'm trying to put a border above and below the navigation, but every time i do it moves the shopping cart and social links to the middle too. Is there a way to put a line above and below the navigation links without moving the shopping cart and social links too? This is the code I'm using: @media only screen and (min-width:640px) {.header-announcement-bar-wrapper { padding-left: 0px !important; padding-right: 0px !important; }} @media only screen and (min-width:640px) {.header-display-desktop { flex-direction: column; }} @media only screen and (min-width:640px) {.header-title-nav-wrapper { flex: 0 0 100% !important; margin-right: auto; width: 100% !important; }} @media only screen and (min-width:640px) {nav.header-nav-list { display: flex; width: 100%; border-top: 2px solid #59636C; border-bottom: 2px solid #59636C; padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; margin-bottom: -22px; }} Thanks!
  19. Site URL: https://llyatelier2.squarespace.com/ Hello, How do I get rid of this grey line under Shop Categories? Also, is there a way to reduce the space on top and under the categories?
  20. Site URL: https://www.lucienandsolenn.com/ Hello there! I know that there is some post about this, and I found a good code for it . However, I cannot find a way to "stop the line" under the drop down menu links and make it 100% of the word, not beyond. How can I do? I post the picture of it below. Thank you in advance! My website password : Forthesakeoflove Here is the css code : .header-nav-item > a:after, .header-nav-folder-item > a:after { content:''; width: 0px; height: 1px; background: #fff; display: block; transition: width .2s ease; } .header-nav-item > a, .header-nav-folder-item:hover { background: none !important; } .header-nav-item--active > a:after, .header-nav-item:hover > a:after, .header-nav-folder-item:hover > a:after { width: 100%; } .header-nav-folder-item:hover > a { color: #fff !important; }
  21. Site URL: https://www.daphnes.co.nz/ Hi there, Having trouble with the formatting of text links on the contact page, but on mobile only. When these links begin on a new line on mobile they have an extra space before the link - making it look like they are indented. See attached example. Also, this error doesn't appear when I'm on my browser and go 'Inspect' and view it at different mobile sizes - it only appears on an actual phone browser.. I am using custom css on the site and I have checked the relevant parts to see if they affect it but no luck so far. If anyone could take a quick look I would be so grateful! Please let me know if you need any more details. Thanks!
