  1. Hi! Here I am once again. 😉 I am almost finished with my website, woohoo! I just checked the way my website looks on all different devices, and some thing are definitely off on tablet view. I added some screenshots to show what I want it to look like vs what it looks like now. For example: the about page looks good on both mobile and laptop (I used custom css to show 2 different sections and therefore layouts in laptop and mobile, but I would like to have the mobile view only on mobile, and the laptop layout also on tablet. Also some buttons look weird, and words are cut off in random spots in the tablet view. Can someone please help me? I am not able to write codes myself. password: Illusterre2022 Thanks so much!
  2. A few text blocks are shifting all the way over to the left. I don't mean just left justified, but like every 3 letters there's a line break. No other blocks are doing this except for 2 sections and I have no idea what I did or how to fix it.
  3. Having trouble placing a code on the left side of the page & a few image on the right side. It's not so much an issue with the code, rather the placement of code next to an image. For example, we are trying to make our page look like image #1 below. But when we post the site the code distorted the images on the right and only allows one image there (see image #2). How can we have the code on the left side a multiple pictures in a normal layout? Thanks in advance!
  4. Site URL: https://fox-scarlet-xnc8.squarespace.com/ This might be hard to explain but when I am viewing the site on my phone, the menu overlay is aligned way too high on the screen and will not allow the viewer to click "Home, Shop, or Blog". I've included an image below showing how it looks. When I am editing the site on my desktop however, it appears fine. Also, an image of what it should look like. Scratching my head a bit...
  5. I am really enjoying using 7.1 - however, I feel a little stuck.. Am I correct in saying: - There is no way to copy a section to another page - There is no way to custom build a page and turn into a template - There is no way for me to make a boilerplate page or section block for reuse elsewhere - There are very limited options when choosing an article/blog layout I have some wireframes to work from, but for instance, I can't see an easy way to match the article layout to the wireframe I have without custom building a page that I then get the customer to duplicate for each article. But then, if they do that, they can't easy add feature blocks to the homepage to showcase the latest articles (without them doing it manually) e.g a custom page is not like collection, as pages aren't stored as blog/article posts. Also it looks like 7.0 had a developer access, would it be better for me to go back to 7.0 and will that allow me to custom build templates for re-use? I know how to code html and css, but feels like the system wants me to pick from prebuilt layouts rather than code or lay my own out.
  6. Site URL: https://www.rossandlaura2023.com/ Hiya Folks, I'm finalizing my website for my Partner and I's wedding. I was excited to see the new layout engine and found it very helpful to really hone in on a layout that I liked. Everything looked good on the Desktop preview, and I loved being able to go in to the mobile preview and independently adjust the content layout to optimize it for mobile. However, after saving the website and asking my partner to review it on her phone, we noticed that there were some really annoying spacing issues. It seems as though this is mostly when I have used a header. Everything looks fine on the mobile preview on squarespace but when looking at the website on mobile, there is a lot more space after every instance of text that uses my heading. Is there any way I can correct this? I will attach some side by side images highlighting the difference between the mobile preview on squarespace and how it looks on a mobile device. If you fancy looking at the website or want to inspect the coding, the website password is: Tulum2023 Cheers
  7. Site URL: https://abstylestudio.net Hello! I have adjusted my website and would love to have feedback. Do the colors work, is my work explained well? Too few photos? All feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Amy
  8. Site URL: https://www.kinrock.com/ I'm building a site that looks fine on desktop, but on mobile has all this extra vertical spacing that doesn't appear on the site builder but does on the live site. See screenshot attached that shows the site builder for mobile layout on left, and actual live site on right.
  9. Site URL: https://www.firebellymarketing.com/blog Hi, how can I align the author and category in the blog feed with more than one category or author for mobile? The layout is not aligned and has a lot of padding. Where can I find or edit this part? Please see screenshot below. Appreciate in advance any help for this. Thank you!
  10. A solid color background. JUST logo in center of the screen. Is this possible using Squarespace 7.1?
  11. Site URL: https://worksbyshaun.com/home-new Hello, I am reworking my home page and having significant issues with the page once you shrink it to less than 750 pixels wide, the entire homepage "explodes", the only way I can explain it. Graphics shift all over the page, nothing resembles what the page should look like layout wise. Please see the two screen grabs below. I do not believe that I am alone with issues like this and would greatly appreciate some direction on how I may resolve this... Thank you so much for your help. Website at 750px wide, as it should look... Broken/exploded website at 749 pixels wide...
  12. Hello, Yesterday I was tinkering with my website, and created new unlisted blank page. I was prompted with new tutorial tour for "Fluid Engine" it is really really sweet, but so far only that one blank page has this new option, if I create a new blank page or a section it resides to a "Default-layout engine", and there is no way to obtain new designing feature. Any clues why I am able to have this special treatment to a single page but not others? 😄 Here is the only resource I found online about the update - https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/6421525446541-Fluid-Engine-Squarespace-s-new-content-editing-experience#toc-identifying-fluid-engine Thanks!
  13. Site URL: https://www.mcpricemyers.com/about When we added our fourth brand partner we were not able to adjust the type to sit correctly. When on mobile, the formatting completely shifts. https://www.mcpricemyers.com/about It's almost as if I can only have 3 images with three formatting options. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Site URL: https://mandolin-trumpet-8ajp.squarespace.com/history On many of the pages I'm working on, I've set the Fluid Engine layout for the desktop and mobile views. But when I view those pages on a phone in landscape view, there are huge spaces between blocks. It looks terrible, and there doesn't seem to be any way to fix it. The same is true when I resize my browser window to a narrow width (but not narrow enough to mimic a phone screen). This seems to be a bug in the Fluid Engine. Either there should be an editor mode for these intermediate screen sizes (between desktop and phone) or the layout should follow the mobile layout without the extra spaces.
  15. Site URL: https://www.adamamin.com.au/home/cost-house-clovelly I'm building a project page for my photography website. Using the grid: simple layout to show all the images, I find that it crops the images to conform to the aspect ratio. Is there an ability to add a white background instead so that the images can keep their aspect ratio? This is best explained in the website example below: https://derekswalwellprints.com/collections/outdistance Scroll to the bottom to find:
  16. Site URL: https://anxioussound.com/aoty-2021 Hello, I'm using the Foster template in Squarespace 7 and I'm trying to create a two-column layout where the left column is fixed (non-scrolling) and 100vh, and the right column is scrollable. I was able to get the layout I want in the editor by creating a new fixed code block and positioning it to the left of all other content (top image). The problem is, as I soon as I save the layout and leave the editing state, the content in the right column jumps to the left, overlapping with the fixed column (bottom image). Why does the layout change when I leave the editor? Is there something I'm overlooking in the code?
  17. Site URL: https://badger-tarpon-f38l.squarespace.com/config/pages I'd like to change the layout of the store page so that I'm able to have the product with info and buy button all in one column(please see screenshot) Any suggestions? Screenshot 2022-06-22 at 12.40.29- is the reference Screenshot 2022-06-22 at 14.30.58- is from my Squarespace account which I'm working on.
  18. Site URL: https://www.danielluxschwartz.com/store-1/p/style-01-hk8lf Hello guys, I just opened a shop for my website , it all went pretty good but at the bottom of page of each product of mine there are still "suggested" products images of squarespace ( a wallet and a pouch) + there is a paragraph says " MAKE IT STAND OUT" and a random 5 stars review. I can't delete them anywhere, they are not included in my photos or in the info regarding the prodcuts I have, I try to edit the section but I can't click and remove this images or paragraphs.. Any ideas what to do? See photos bellow:
  19. Hello everyone, I'm new to Squarespace, for the moment I'm doing some tests to see if Squarespace is the best solution for me. I have good skills in web dev (front-end) but by attacking the design of my new website I am facing the first problem and I would need your expert advice. My problem concerns margins and padding because I would like to make a full-width site with full-width sections. Basically, the template that you can see in the attachment was designed under bootstrap but I can't reproduce it with Squarespace. What do you think would be the best way to get a similar layout? Inject css? leave with template, if so which one? Thanks for your help.
  20. Please see Row Column Finder. From the read me. It is quite easy to get into a situation where blocks are not behaving the way you think they should. Some of those issues are a how you think they should work versus how they actually work. But one issue that is really hard to tell is nested blocks which are virtually undetectable visually. The following image shows two similar looking page sections. The target layout is a row with three evenly spaced columns of text. Although they appear to be similar visually. They are not structurally. With the Row Column Finder bookmarklet you begin to have a chance at detecting layout issues that may be making your blocks behave in unexpected ways or are difficult to work with using CSS or JavaScript. In the first page section we see the target layout as desired. The second page section does not meet our target layout. We have a row with two columns. The first row first column contains a row with two columns. Undesirable nesting! What is a bookmarket? Wikipedia has a nice entry on bookmarklet.
  21. Site URL: https://theanimaldays.com Hello, please could someone help? On site view, my title is next to the image, and on mobile view I want the image before the text, but no matter what I change it still appears below the text on mobile view. I'm guessing some css needs to be used, but unsure where to start?
  22. Site URL: https://www.aldencreative.com/spaces#avo-eatery Here's a link to my 7.0 page, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to create this same layout in 7.1. Elements: Text above gallery block with two different font weights in one block. Image gallery closely nested below text above. Some sort of clickable thumbnail or dot to navigate images in gallery Text below nested closely to gallery above. Thanks!
  23. Site URL: https://carlospagan.com I came across this portfolio site i found really beautiful. https://carlospagan.com I think he uses Square Space. Does anyone know how he is able to achieve the layout on the main page? Each row there are one large thumbnail and two smaller ones. And it rotates every row. Thanks
  24. Site URL: https://ladybug-leopard-nh2e.squarespace.com/work/tear-sheets I'd like to add a caption to one of my reels but there's too much padding. Also would like to decrease spacing between the other reels.
  25. Layout falls apart when I insert code embed icons from another website. That happens when I introduce code with embeded icons to build 4 columns. When I edit it seem perfect, but after save the layout falls apart. Why is happening that? Thanks for herlping me!
