  2. Site URL: https://www.camillaottesen.dk Hey. I'm using parallax headers in several pages, made with background-attachment: fixed. How can I twist the code, so it will also work i IOS? (i have removed the image-url in the following) [data-section-id="61e145e15bc8c537841f2161"]{ .section-background{ &::after { //creating the element content: ""; width:100%; height:100%; position: absolute; //adding the image background-image:url("IMAGE-URL(removed in this code-example"); background-repeat:no-repeat; opacity:70%; //positioning the image background-size:cover; background-position:center center; background-attachment: fixed; transform: scale(1); } } www.camillaottesen.dk code: Camilla
  3. Site URL: https://sparrowstartup.com/ Hello, another day, another bug. Attached a video where you'll see the fonts/pics getting larger or smaller randomly as I try to scroll down. Please help me understand what's wrong. Thank you. squarespace.mp4
  4. Site URL: https://www.fabriziaschettino.com/ Hello, I m having trouble with my landing page/website. I uploaded a custom font in CSS but it is not showing the right one in Safari and on my iPhone (whatever the browser). Also, it happens that only if I select the "bold" version of the font it works. I uploaded the .ttt, .woff, .woff2, .eot but nothing changes. Please help me Thank you very much for the support, cheers
  5. Site URL: https://www.telemetrix-tech.com/homepage Page URL: https://www.telemetrix-tech.com/homepage Page Password: RestrictedForNow Issue: At the bottom of this page is a form as well as a newsletter form in the footer. I'm on windows and everything's looking great in Chrome for those forms but our UI reviewer uses Mac/Chrome combo and the form placeholders are not showing. I tried debugging with another team member who has a Mac but all we could really determine is that the inputs are getting a height of 0, instead of leaving room for content. When we inspect the code and compare to another of our sites on Squarespace, using all the same stylings, the placeholder text is showing and everything is the same as on my windows machine. I'm really not sure what's causing the issue and I'd appreciate help if someone knows something that could cause this on this specific site. I've also attached what I'm seeing and the screenshot they had sent. (There was an update since the Mac screenshot where I've changed the Message input from textarea to just text.) Thanks in advance for help.
  6. Site URL: https://nathancashion.com/blog/2018/5/the-4-causes-of-low-back-pain I've had an issue occur a few times now. If I edit a Markdown block while using the Squarespace app for iOS, the markdown gets changed. It appears that the block will add in backslashes before any markdown formatting syntax, e.g. ### Disc Likely the most common cause of back pain in our modern age, *degenerative disc disease* or *discogenic low back pain* is attributed to 40 percent of low back pain cases. will be converted to: ### Disc Likely the most common source of back pain in our modern age, \\\*degenerative disc disease\\\* or \\\*discogenic low back pain\\\* is attributed to 40 percent of low back pain cases. These added characters then show in the rendered page, and all paragraph breaks are removed. (See attached screenshot. I've fixed the live blog post, so you can see the correct formatting by visiting the link above.) If I try to fix it by editing on iOS, it only makes it worse. In fact, it will add backslashes to the backslashes. I can only correct the problem by editing on the web, completely replacing the text in the Markdown block.
  7. Me and a buddy are looking for a platform to develop some ideas, problem is that the idea we're focused on at the moment turns out to be fairly complex and requires quie a few features such as geolocation, social functions, payment options etc. Having a limited budget we can't afford right now a full development of native apps both on Android and iOS
  8. Site URL: https://southernspells.squarespace.com/readings For some reason, a few text elements are rendering with no font applied on mobile (iPhone). I'm just using standard Squarespace fonts, however I have used CSS variables so that it applies certain fonts i.e. "@subheading". Variables @heading: 'guanabara-sans'; @paragraph: 'proxima-nova'; @subheading: 'proxima-nova-condensed'; CSS for affected areas .summary-title, .product-price, .variant-option-title, .ProductItem-nav-breadcrumb-link { font-family: @heading !important; } h3 strong, h4 strong, a.product-title { font-family: @subheading !important; text-transform: uppercase !important; letter-spacing: 0.25em !important; } Affected areas (screenshot) https://share.getcloudapp.com/P8u18jdr
  9. Site URL: https://www.bombora.digital/ Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to integrate Facebook pixel events and Ads Manager with Squarespace since the iOS14 upgrade. I'm not sure why but I can see my events are firing in Events Manager but then the data doesn't pull through to Ads Manager, so I'm assuming I need to reconfigure the events with Conversion API. I think I have two ways to do this: either via Zapier or manually implementing the API myself. I looked into Zapier and I imagine it can get very expensive very quickly as you'd need Zaps for each "event" in my funnel (there's 3) and then a subscription level that matches the number of events per month. I'd rather try and implement myself before going down this road. So I'm working through the "Using the Conversion API" and have a few questions: 1. I've copied my access token into a document, I don't think it needs to be entered into Squarespace, is that correct? 2. I've used the FB Payload Helper to generate Java code for each of my events, then added these to the corresponding pages in the code injector, I haven't added code site wide though, is this correct? 3. I'm not sure how to now test the events. The FB Conversion API Helper tool says to use the test ID (I think mine is TEST97887) to send test events directly from your server to verify that they're received correctly by Facebook. This is either within my server's payload (not sure where this is), my terminal (not sure where this is) or Facebook API Graph Explorer (I can't seem to open without creating an app). I found this which seems helpful: https://integratepro.com/blog/facebook-conversion-api-setup/ but I would need to be able to access the Graph Explorer so I'm not sure what to do next. The new events (the one I set up with Java code) aren't registering in Events Manager so I might have not set these up correctly. Any help is very much appreciated!! I don't have much coding experience so am completely clueless at the moment 🙂
  10. Site URL: http://www.sartorisf.com When using iOS mobile devices and navigating my site I have noticed some unique issues. With both Safari and Chrome when I select the product variant dropdown box my screen does two things. 1. The entire screen “jumps” or moves as if i chose to refresh (IT DOESNT REFRESH) it just imitates the movement. 2. Once I choose a variant, the next time click on the box the screen zooms in to the box itself requiring me to constantly pinch to zoom out. I have reached out to support and they have not responded. As well I had a friend who does not use iOS to try on his mobile device. He did not have the same issue. The video attached demonstrates the issues. FullSizeRender.mov
  11. Site URL: https://www.herefortherightriesling.com/ Hello, I added a custom css font into my page. It worked perfectly, but the one device the font won't show on is on my iPhone. It's driving me nuts. I have looked and looked for answers, but haven't had any luck. Here is the code I am using - @font-face { font-family: "sangriaregular"; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e7fdcaa598f9f6f7a79057a/t/5e868dfd75b09077b6bfd4e6/1585876477886/sangria-webfont.woff2') format('woff2'), url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e7fdcaa598f9f6f7a79057a/t/5e868df767d06f1dfe6894ce/1585876471151/sangria-webfont.woff') format('woff'), url ('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e7fdcaa598f9f6f7a79057a/t/5e88e737959bb658fcfcf66b/1586030392293/Sangria.ttf') format ('truetype'); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } h2 { font-family: "sangria", Arial, sans-serif !important; } I uploaded the custom font through Font-squirrel to make it a web font. They provided this information - "Fonts not loading in iPhone or iPad- The most common problem here is that you are serving the fonts from an IIS server. IIS refuses to serve files that have unknown MIME types. If that is the case, you must set the MIME type for SVG to "image/svg+xml" in the server settings. " Should I be adding in an SVG version? If so, does anyone know how this works? Thank you so much!
  12. Site URL: https://www.tamtamdeliberte.com/echos-libres/episode-1-demystifions-la-sante-mentale Hi guys, I'm looking for a way to block the ios player when listening to an audio block in a blog post. When clicking on the play button, it opens up in a different page. On Android, the audio plays on the same page. iOS behaves differently. Any thoughts? Thanks Ursule
  13. Good morning ! Well Calendly with SQUARESPACE version 7.1, AHHHH! Looked so promising I mean it actually worked seamlessly!!! 14. Site URL: https://cuboid-decagon-n8zl.squarespace.com/ I'm using a slide down menu across all media screens - works fine on desktop and mobile but it's not visible on iPad. When I click on the hamburger icon, the menu opens then becomes really transparent and barely visible. Any ideas? https://cuboid-decagon-n8zl.squarespace.com/ Password: PAnmF34S Thanks!
  15. Site URL: http://www.harrisoncarto.com I have code blocks on my website and would like to make overflow text scroll on mobile rather than wrap. I've included the following code, which works for desktop windows but not mobile ones: pre, ul, ol, dl { font-family: courier; line-height: 1.3em; overflow: auto; } I've also included a picture of what the code looks like on mobile. Any help is appreciated.
  16. Site URL: https://www.ktrestaurants.com/ Hello, I create most of my sites with Brine and rely heavily on the feature of setting certain Index pages to the full viewport height (100vh) especially the first page hero. I also like to use the scroll-indicator feature which sits at the bottom of the page. With Safari 15 on iOS there is now a bottom tab/location bar that covers a portion of this "full-height" section. When you scroll down the tab bar goes away, but on initial page load it is blocking the scroll indicator as well as part of the background image. Basically this breaks setting height to 100vh. Has anyone determined a way to ensure that this content is reliably placed above this bar and not obscured? Does anyone know if Squarespace is working on any kind of fix for this feature on iOS? I've haven't had any luck so far.
  17. Site URL: https://www.crowmartialarts.com.au/contact Hey Guys, I'm a bit stuck with this one so I thought I'd share it with you guys to see if anyone's come across it before or has any suggestions. Basically at the bottom of our "Contact" page we're using an iFrame to display a Google Slide onto our website (to display our timetable). When viewing this page on iOS if a user scrolls down to look at the timetable it essentially traps them on the timetable. Regardless of which direction the user swipes the page doesn't scroll. Obviously this can be counter by zooming or scrolling at the top or bottom of the phone that is not displaying the timetable but that isn't a very user friendly solution. Any ideas on how I could resolve this?
  18. Site URL: https://burgundy-onion-29xp.squarespace.com/ Hi, I'm building a very simple site, mainly for use on mobile that has a few images with hyperlinks off to various external websites. With one of the images I want to embed code, so that when the user taps the image it triggers their camera app to open, to then enable them to scan a QR code which will take them to an external link. Does anyone know how I can do this? By way of explanation - as a business we label clients assets with QR codes. The client can then scan the QR code with their phone and see a report about that asset.
  19. Site URL: https://www.tastytravellife.com/ Hello, I just started my blog and I noticed that I can easily resize my images on web with my computer. I mostly use my iPad to update my blog, but can not find a way to resize in the same way. Webbrowser on iPad is crashing if I try and app is not showing the same dot. see pictures for web version on laptop and app version on iPad. Is there a way to get my pictures resized on the app to get them aligned if I put text above one of them. (See blog posts on site to get idea what I want) just annoying to grab my laptop just for resizing before I can publish it. Thank you is advance.
  20. Site URL: http://www.pointerway.com I've got my new 7.1 version of my website up and running but I've got dreadful formatting issues with H1 text on mobile and in paned windows on desktop browser (see attached screenshots). It seems like the page isn't shrinking the text enough to keep full words on single lines. Any ideas? Thank you!
  21. I just wrote a blog post and hit ‘save’ on the Squarespace app on my iPad Pro, published the post and then when I clicked on the post to view it I see this message. The blog post is completely gone. I get the same error message when I look at the live version on my site. Squarespace does not seem to be compatible at ALL with mobile or iPad, which is super frustrating because I planned on updating my blog solely from iPad. Does anyone know a workaround for this ?? That is an hour worth of writing completely gone.
  22. Site URL: https://www.lucylawson.co.uk Hi there, My clients website is viewing the custom fonts differently on safari and iOs. Looks totally as expected on Chrome, but appears different on Safari. .ttf .otf .woff .woff2 have all been uploaded. @font-face { font-family: 'NoeDisplay'; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60661ef2806161468599d160/t/60661fb6b8414c574a547e86/1617305526790/NoeDisplay-Black.otf'); font-weight: black; } @font-face { font-family: 'Graphik'; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60661ef2806161468599d160/t/60661fd8db8f047724129954/1617305560410/Graphik-Black.otf') } h1 {font-family: 'NoeDisplay-Black';} h2 {font-family: 'NoeDisplay-Medium';} h3 {font-family: 'Graphik-Medium';}
  23. Site URL: https://www.astrayphotography.com I recently created a new site through Squarespace with a square muse template and for certain sections the background videos that play automatically (top of "Galleries" and bottom of "Lets do this") on www.astrayphotography.com only work on Android and desktop versions which over 50% of our clients visit our site via iPhone. From my conversations with the Squarespace team it appears there is no answer to fix this and recommend using a backup image. Does anyone you have any advice on if this is able to be fixed? Thank you, Andy andy@astrayphotography.com
  24. Hi! I am trying to use the north-east arrow symbol in a text block ( ↗ ) and it works fine on my desktop but as soon as I use any iOS device (iPhone, iPad), it turns into some emoji ( ↗️ ). Is there a way to force text for this symbol? Thank you for your help!
  25. Site URL: https://customersuccessqueen.com/ Hello! I have a cover page that I've had for several months and this issue started in July. When opening my website in the Chrome iOS app, my website's content doesn't appear only the background image. If it does appear, it only stays for a few seconds. I've tried different cover pages and I get the same result. I've also tried different devices and networks and the content won't show in the Chrome iOS app. I can view all content in the Safari app and desktop. If I remove the cover page, my website content appears fine in the Chrome app. My Chrome app and iOS are up to date. I've deleted the Chrome iOS app and reinstalled and that didn't help. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? I've attached a video below. capture_20200802-0450PM.mp4
