  1. Is it possible to align an image inside an image block to the left or right instead of the default center alignment?
  2. I'm attempting to round the corners on my images on two different image blocks. Since Squarespace doesn't seem to natively support rounding corners on images, I was going to do some custom CSS work to round them out. I found this blog entry that gave me the script I needed to enter, but I can't actually properly references the images themselves - only the blocks. For example, here's a test case I built. I have two image blocks here, both set to the Poster design. This is on one of the default templates without any major changes, save for swapping out some text. If I hit inspect, the only ID I can find is for the blocks themselves, not the images. I could just be missing it, but this seems to be the only ID that doesn't start with yui (which I was told isn't static and will change every time the page is reloaded). If I reference this ID when I try to round my corners, I end up with this - a rounded image block. (I'm also not sure why every time I go into edit mode, the formatting on my test photos I'm using seem to break but that's a whole 'nother thing) I'm really new to all of this, so it's totally possible I just have the whole thing completely wrong. Anyone got any pointers? Thanks!
  3. I was wondering if anyone would know how to add text when hovering over an image in the Wells Template? When using the set Gallery page, there is (by default) a very faint overlay applied to the image. I would like to be able to add text to this (in the centre of the image), and possibly increase the opacity of the overlay (as it is barely perceptible). See below for an example of a Wells Gallery page: https://www.squarespace.com/templates/wells I don't mind if the CSS only applies to image blocks, and it would be great if the image could be clickable as I am hoping to construct an Index-type page, due to the fact that the Wells template doesn't include that function. I'm very much a noob when it comes to CSS, so please bear with me! Any help would be amazing 🙂
  4. My image is not auto sizig in Brine. What are the exact image dimensions required for the main banner in Brine? I feel like I am going mad as nothing is sizing at 1550px wide or 2500px wide as the support articles state is the correct sizing. Please help me. thanks x
  5. I'm trying to change the size of the font in the image card. It says it's "body" text, but it doesn't match the body text on the rest of the site. I'm using the Rover template.
  6. Hi there, I am wanting to create a Transperant text button on the image blocks of a single page (www.capecabin.com/thespace) so that it matches the 'take a look around' button used over a banner image on our homepage. Could anyone point me in the direction of the css code to achieve this? I would prefer the buttons to be fixed rather than visible on hover as I think I need to make it as clear as possible that you can click through to see more. x Jacqueline @capecabin
  7. Hi there! I added image blocks to a page on my site. I wanted to have them cascading down so that the images blocks change side each time (alternating left and right as the page goes down). However, when the browser is resized slightly, or I view it on my mobile, the image blocks resize, the image is huge and the text no longer appears to the side of the block but only sequentially through the page. How do I prevent this resize from happening so that the text always appears next to the image and never above or below it? I have attached a couple sample images, one of how it should look, and the other of how it looks after being resized. Thank you in advance!
  8. After reducing the padding and margins around my image blocks through coding, I am still left with a horizontal white spacing between some lines. These spaces show up even more when the page is viewed on a mobile, they seems to appear when images that I have placed in a row on my desktop get broken up and presented below one another on mobile. In the attached image its the thicker spacing. My template is Nueva. This is the page's custom coding: <style> .sqs-block { margin-left: -15px !important; margin-right: -15px !important; margin-top: -15px !important; margin-bottom: -15px !important; } </style> I have no idea what this spacing is or how to remove it and I have spent so long trying to work it out! Please help !
  9. I have a nagging question that's driving me up the wall.. As you may know, adding an image in the blog using the image block (specifically) introduces padding around the image (around 10~15px?). While this isn't usually a problem, I'd like to remove (or better yet, customize) the space between, so that the images touch each other on all sides (like a photo wall). Is there a way to do this using the custom CSS function? It would seem like a fairly easy parameter to change. Any help would be greatly appreciated! p.s. Adding multiple images really is a pain on SS6 without using the gallery block, as it turns out.. It'd be nice if you could upload multiple images at once as individual image blocks. That would make posting lots of images much more manageable. Oh well..
