  1. Hello, I want to alter the padding between two seperate gallery blocks on a layout page. Is this possible and if so whats the best advice? thank you
  2. Hi there, I am building a website for a client and they have asked that the gallery grid lightbox 'X' is darker and the left and right arrows are darker and are visible all the time (rather than only on hover). I have scoured the forum and can't seem to find a code that works for the site. The template is Foster. The website is https://apricot-frog-pc6a.squarespace.com Password: lynne.2019 An example of this can be viewed on any of the pages under 'work'. Any help would be greatly received! Many thanks, Hannah
  3. Hi I am using the Foster Template Can anybody please give advice or help with this issue. I have a gallery block that's on an index page and I want to be able to magnify the selected photo when hovering over it with the mouse so the photo expands slightly on hover. Can you please tell me how this could be done whilst also allowing the highlighted photo to still link through to its specific page when clicked on. Thank you in advance The page in question can be seen at https://ratcliffeandratcliffe.squarespace.com/therapy
  4. I am trying to create a homepage that displays my portfolio. I don't want to create a gallery page, because I want all of my portfolio on the one page, divided amongst three slider gallery blocks. How can I get these slider gallery blocks to stretch out to the entire width of every browser the page is viewed in ? I'm not sure if this makes any difference but my current template is Beatrice. For an example of what I am trying to achieve, take a look at a page I created in Wix that gives the desired effect (www.livrah.com) Wix blogging is horrible so I am now moving to Squarespace and I would really like to create a portfolio home page with the same look.
  5. When I'm embedding a Vimeo link, the video automatically pops up three related videos from my account after the video is done playing. Is there anyway to disable this similar to the ?=ref0 code on YouTube? Or any other method? Link for reference: http://www.flyhelo.com/jeff-tremaine (Play any video in there and wait through to the end)
  6. Hi everyone, I just switched to Atelier - which looks great and after a bit of fiddling around I've got text colors and everything the way I want. Here's where I'm stuck - On my pages with a gallery "box" added I have them set up to open in a pop up window - each image that is. I can't find where or how to change the background color from black to white. It's just to harsh of a difference with the layout all in white and I'd like to make them the same. Help! Thanks is advance@
  7. Hello Guys, I have seen a lot of posts on this subject, that had some great code workarounds! I thought it would have been nice to gather them all and take videos to show how to achieve captions under grid-style Gallery Blocks in Squarespace 7, it works also on Squarespace 6 I am no code expert, but I have gathered the solutions in these posts: • http://answers.squarespace.com/questions/55687/hoverimage-titles-on-gallery-grid-images • Here it is the guide I have drafted, I would like to point out again this is not my code and I have found it in the resources above, so I am not able to troubleshoot it :) I have divided it into two sections: • Make the captions display at all times • Make them display on hover 1 • Make the captions display at all times This is how it looks like: here This is the code that should be entered: #block-yui_3_17_2_8_1420902652606_4622 .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { display: block; } This video shows you step by step where to retrieve the #block element using Chrome and how to add the code to your Squarespace 7 site: In order, for it to work you will have to replace the following #block-yui3172814209026526064622 with your #block ID for your Gallery Block. If you remove the following from the CSS snippet: #block-yui3172814209026526064622, all gallery blocks with grid style that you have will display image file names. 2 • Make them display on hover This is how it looks like: here .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { display: block; position: inherit; background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.9); top: -18px; margin-bottom: -18px; opacity: 0; -webkit-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -moz-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -o-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -ms-transition: all 300ms ease-out; transition: all 300ms ease-out; } .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper:hover .image-slide-title { opacity: 1; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px) { .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper .image-slide-title { opacity: 1; } } I took a video to show you how to implement this solution: I hope this is useful to someone, it worked for me :)
