  1. Working for an nonprofit that sells a variety of products. Some are physical (merchandise -- dance gear, CDs, books), but our primary sales are event tickets, live workshops, and dance class series. We often have to send out updates about classes and events and have been doing so (until recently) by exporting our sales on Squarespace and copy/pasting email addresses into our company email, then sending from there--not through squarespace. It's been a total slog and it's time to start using squarespace as our main database for emails, marketing, and customer profiles. While we've successfully set up automated emails via Marketing to go out immediately after specific purchases, we'd like to have a way to easily send out follow up emails to those same customers. Is there is a way for Squarespace to automatically populate mailing lists based on costumers' specific purchases? We only recently upgraded to user profiles so part of my confusion comes from managing profiles... Feels like there should be a way to search our customer profiles for specific item purchases but I'm not finding them. I see that we can manually add tags to individual customers, but that seems a little backwards to me (ex. If I want to add a tag to customers who purchase purchased tickets to a specific show (ie - Tag: "Holiday Show 2021") how can I find out who purchased them without squarespace auto-generating that information in the profiles hub? Trying to figure out what makes the most sense when it comes to user profile management for the org at this time. I'm not opposed to using Eventbrite or Scheduling, I just feel like there is a way to manage mailing lists and send e-blasts through squarespace based on specific purchases. Is there? Hoping that this is possible/easy, and that I just am missing something obvious here.

I would like to display the day of the week (in all caps) in front of my dates on my event summary pages. i.e. THURSDAY, February 3, 2022 I am currently using this code on the actual events page in the Page Header Code Injection, but its not capitalizing the days or carrying over to the summary pages. Am I putting it in the wrong place? Do I need to add additional code? and if so, where?   3. It's really disappointing that we can't add events to our email campaigns. Anyone found a work around that doesn't require retyping or copying and pasting everything by hand before I give up?
  4. I'm creating an event website, and when I call on the events in a summary block, the little date icon that is standard on brine isn't showing when the design is in "list" mode. It displays correctly in grids, carousel, and wall... but not list. What gives ? 😩 Anyone else having this issue? Any workarounds in css to get it to display? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
  5. I have been using squarespace.com for a few years now and am looking for an event registration platform so my students can register for my webinars. I was considering signing up for https://www.eventzilla.net/us/home, but would prefer to stay with you if you offer such a service? Please let me know if you have something like this in your menu of offerings for your squarespace customers. I hardly check these types of forums and worried I may forget to login and find a reply. I've tried every solution I could find here on the Circle forum, but none are working! page: https://theveil.squarespace.com/nfk (scroll down to "Upcoming Events" section) template: Royce I've got a Summary Block displaying Events, filtered by Category. When nothing matches the filter criteria, there is just a big black space on the page. I'd prefer it to automatically display text when the summary block is empty, like "There are no upcoming events at this location." Note: The Upcoming Events section on the page is actually a page (/nfk-events) nestled within an Index Collection (/nfk), in case it matters.   7. In version 7.0, when viewing an Events page, I could enable a "View Event" button for each event via design styles. I can't see how to enable that same button in version 7.1, is it available somehow?
  8. I have a site that's built with 7.1 and really would like to disable the individual event pages. My site has a lot of events, but each event isn't inputted with many details so those event item pages are pretty much useless and a way for readers to get lost... Does anyone know of any custom code to accomplish this? Disabling event item pages is the goal, but even just some code to remove the links from the event titles would be awesome. Many thanks!

But no matter what I seem to do, it will only link current events. When I press "Show Group Count" it gives an accurate number for these past years, but won't show anything when clicked. These past events are active and can be accessed through summary blocks, so it's not an issue with the event pages. This becomes more confusing when on the Squarespace help page for archive blocks it states " If you're displaying content from an events page, it's not possible to hide past events. " But I can't get it to show past events in the first place. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

The user needs to click on the event to get to the "add to cart" function. Is there a way to get the "add to cart" to show up on the all events page for each event listed? Thanks for the help!

I thought about using CSS to hide the left column so I can create a custom column with content blocks but then there is no way to change the event title.   13. Site URL: https://www.killconflict.com/events I have been going in circles trying to find a way for people to RSVP to my events. I'm aware that Squarespace doesn't have this option (at least that's what I understand). I DID manage to add a FORM section to the events page… (I only added it to homeschool hang out). When people fill out their name along with a message I DO get an email with this info… this "could" work for an RSVP… except that, I was hoping the comment could remain on the website for everyone to see it. I was thinking maybe a comments section added to the events page would work. Is this possible? I haven't figured out how to do this. Any other ideas are appreciated.

Just wondering if those past events can be repost/relist on another 'calendar' type page? At the moment the events are automatically deleted/filtered out after about 6 months. Most often the automatic sizing cuts off the edges of the image, either top and bottom or left and right. Is there a standard size that will always preserve the entire image? Or a piece of code that will ensure the entire image is preserved but will size it up or down appropriately to fit in the allowed box? Second, the square showing the date of the event is not wanted -- we would prefer that the date just be displayed in text on the right side of the page, with the other information about the event. We have found a piece of code that fixes this on our site's homepage but not yet on the /events page. Thank you for your help!

For the blog page I used the blog template under collections, which I really like. It has 3 images next to each other and when I make the window smaller it takes a while before it goes down to one in a row. However, in my events page I wasn't able to create a layout that looks similar to the blog page- because the events page under collections has a preset layout that is one event in a row (even in desktop view). Since I did not find a code that could change the layout of the events page I added a blank page in the main navigation and used the summary block to create the desired layout and added content from a linked page with the events template that I will not make visible to page visitors. However, the events page (with the summary block layout) will not act like the blog layout when I make the window smaller. In detail; when minimizing the window it takes longer in the blog section for the image blocks to turn into multiple columns. Basically I want the summary page layout to stay 3 events next to each other in a row as I am making the window of the page smaller. I would need a code for the summary layout that would act the same as the blog section as I make the window smaller so that it goes from 3 events horizontally next to each other to one, instead of 3 - 2 - 1. I attached a screen recording of the blog section as I minimize the window and the events section. I noticed when I go into individual events pages, the arrows that display at the bottom of the page (to navigate to other events) are overlapped and look bad. it also extends the width of the page making it uncentered and just doesn’t look clean. I either want to remove the navigation arrows section completely or just remove the event titles or make them smaller. Does anyone know a code or formatting to correct this issue? I need my event page and don’t want it to look bad on mobile. thanks!
  19. Hi, I'm new to Squarespace, and trying to understand where to limit my expectations. I have a requirement to display a series of events, by date, event name, and cost. I would like to be able to implement filters/sorts to enable control of the records displayed due to the volume of events over a calendar month (up to 100). I'd also like to be able to toggle the detail of events on and off depending on what the user clicks on. If I were doing this in WP I would use a calendar plug in to show what dates there are events, and highlight dates where I've booked an event. The attached may help you visualise the end result. Is any of this possible in Squarespace with CSS? Many thanks in advance for your help!

Site URL: http://www.richmondliteraturefestival.com/events Hello, My client is running a festival in November, they've added 40 events which are currently sitting in drafts ready to be published on the day they are announcing the programme. So there's not much to see from the public-facing view! I would ideally like to duplicate all the events to save them as back-ups in case anything happens to them (ie accidentally deleted...) Is this possible? I know you can duplicate an individual event, but it will take time to do that, and I would like to have them in a separate unlinked collection/page. Thanks!   23. Code to make v7.1 event meta data sticky. I worked with @katieslee to develop the code via DM a while back. A second member asked how to achieve the same effect on their site, after seeing katieslee's site in action.   24. How can I remove the time from individual events, such as with all-day events? I don't want all events to have times listed, but some should. Nothing in the Event module settings, nothing in the event item or options, can't delete the times manually. Nothing via Answers or Google search.

On the summary, I'd like to make the following style changes for all events: Increase the size of the title text (the custom font) Align the text to the centre of the image Change the 'learn more' link to a button 2. On all the individual events pages, I'd like to move the back link, event title & metadata to be centred above the body copy. Is this possible? Any help so appreciated! Thank you, Katie
