  2. Site URL: http://activateagency.co.nz Hi there, I'm wondering if there is currently any way to automate email campaigns to free members area subscribers? Eg. members receive an automatic email thanking them for registering and giving next steps; queue emails to arrive a certain period after they've registered for memberships etc? I know that I can automate to regular mailing list subscribers, but I can't see any way to set up the same automation for those who register as members, which seems like a pretty essential tool that I had honestly assumed would be available based on the combination of regular email automations & members areas. I've just migrated my email marketing from Mailchimp to Squarespace and created a Members Area for an online workshop programme we are delivering. We already have the list of approved members, so I have been able to import them successfully into a mailing list and send them an initial welcome email using a regular email campaign. However, I note that I can not manually add these participants into a membership and give them access to the members area - I have to email them again using the regular email campaign function, and ask them to register for the members area, at which point I'm unable to automate emails to them as free members rather than "customers". Even if they register as members to gain access to the members area and then I manually add them into an additional mailing list, then it's still not possible to automate an email sequence for them because they have to "subscribe" to the mailing list themselves... So it seems like the only way to be able to have the combination of 1. participants in a free membership + 2. automated emails enabled is to make people register for a membership AND then subscribe for an additional mailing list... which somewhat defeats the purpose of automating emails to get people engaged anyway. It would be wonderful to know if anyone has a good way around this, or if not whether this functionality is likely to be forthcoming in future? Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi There I can not import a csv file of email addresses – always get the same error message: "The first column of your CSV must contain at least one email address." Of course first column contains nothing but an email address. Also the doc has exactly three columns as requested. Nothing works. Even if I download a list that has been created within squarespace, open, export from numbers as csv and import it again – I get the same message. Also tried to export on an pc and exel > same result. I'm desperate. Has anyone experienced issues like these and has an idea how to solve?
  4. Site URL: http://www.happycoffeedesigns.com Hi! I'm testing out the subscribers link on my site and so I've went through the process of subscribing one of my personal email addresses. I got the verification email from squarespace, but I don't get the automated email campaign I set up for new subscribers to receive a discount for subscribing. The automated emails are set to deliver immediately after subscribing too. I've checked my the spam folder and nothing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Would appreciate any help or guidance.   5. Hi all, First time poster, long time user 🙂 I am working on making my newsletter onboarding sequence awesome. I have three different lists that someone could join. Reader Group 1 Reader Group 2 Everyone What I'd like to do is have one automation sequence that starts based on where you signed up. Example: Reader Group 1 gets an automation welcoming to Reader Group 1 with specifics around Reader Group 1. After the first email or two, I'd like to move the subscriber to Everyone and have the next emails trigger from the Everyone list. The Everyone list automations are for, well, everyone and include things like "getting to know me" emails. I was thinking having these emails as automations from one list instead of duplicate emails for different lists would be the best way to go but I'm open to ideas. Here's the flow I'm trying to achieve: Reader signs up for Reader Group 1 newsletter System sends the "Confirm Subscription" email User confirms System sends the "Welcome to Reader Group 1" email automated email associated to Mailing List = Reader Group 1 I see the reader views the email (yay!) and move them to the Everyone list (with appropriate tagging) System sends the "Hi, I'm Tim" automated email for the Everyone list 7 days later, System sends the "More about Tim" automated email for the Everyone list etc... I hope this all makes sense. If someone else is doing something like this with the Squarespace email system, I'd appreciate it if you let me know how you're doing that. Thanks! Tim

  7. As my business grows I am exploring email marketing. I find the current set of features for email that Squarespace has to offer very limiting. I dread moving my website to another platform that has email features like: a lead magnet form that includes phone number that then adds the contact data to a mail list with an automated nurturing email sequence. Does anyone know if Squarespace is going to develop email campaign features further?
  8. Hi all ! So I am creating blast email templates to send to my contact lists, where I choose a specific color for my section background (let's say, green). It looks great and all, but when someone receives it on their phone or tablet, and their dark mode is turned on, then the background color inverts and it looks really bad. Is there a way to force the background color on any devices? Thank you so much for the help!
  9. Hi all, I hope you can help and please excuse my non techy language! I'm a beginner! I currently have the basic email campaign package but am considering upgrading. As a product based business, I need to be able to send automated emails, for example, a nurture sequence for new subscribers eventually leading to (hopefully!) a sale! I would also love to send automated emails to people that have bought sample sizes of my products, encouraging them to buy the full size. And indeed to people who have abandoned their carts. Will I be able to do these types of email funnels if I upgrade to a better Squarespace email package? It's not that clear in the info... Many thanks!
  10. Hi, I will be building a website for a client as part of a pilot program in natural disaster recovery in regional communities. We will have a library of resources for each of the 5 participating areas and I want an automatic email or text message to be sent to the participating influencers/community leaders each time a new document is uploaded. Is this something that would be possible?

  12. Site URL: https://www.storybookcakes.com.au/ I'm looking for a way to tag customers who sign up to our email list with different tags depending on what option they choose in the sign up form. Eg Customer will be asked to choose from three options in the sign up form (eg Customer / Member / Expert) and then those tags to automatically apply so that later I can just email one of those groups. I know I could acheive a similar thing by having three separate sign up forms going to three separate lists, but it would be nice if I could do it all at once and have them on the one list with different tags. Also, when trying to edit tags in Profiles, I can only see the option to do it one customer at a time, rather than selecting from a list to add a tag to several people at once. Are there workarounds for this? Or do I need to switch to Mailchimp? Thanks, Michelle
  13. We've been using Squarespace to handle email campaigns for a bit over 2 years now, and sent out 17 email campaigns in that time. The most recent that we sent out has very odd stats compared with the rest, and I'm wondering if there is any way to determine an explanation for this: How could there possibly be more opened emails than there were delivered? This is exactly the opposite of the 16 prior campaigns we sent, where the progression went more as expected: How can we verify that this last campaign was actually sent, and the stats are wrong? Do we need to resend the campaign? Should we switch to another email service instead?
  14. I'm trying to exclude one segment of our audience from an email campaign. We sent campaign one to a subgroup that includes some folks from our main list. Now we want to send a different email to the main list but exclude that subgroup. Is this possible with sqsp? Thank you!
  15. Hi I'm planning to build a sequenced email campaign for customers who log on to a members area. Is this possible with Squarespace Email Campaigns? What I mean by a sequenced email campaign is the this. When a customer signs into a members area they will individually recieve a standard email with attachments in the following sequence when from the point of signing on: 1. email immidiatly, 2. email after 4 weeks, 3. email after 8 week, 4. email after 12 weeks and so on.   16. I'm baffled. I'm trying to create a new mailing list to my subscribers, so I can send them mail. I can't see a way to add my verified subscribers to a mailing list. Nor can I figure out a way to delete subscribers who don't want to be on the mailing list. This is frustrating. I'm working with a website to support a grieving family and I don't need this frustration right now.... Does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks.
  17. Hey, we noticed 2 unpleasant things, first the newsletter preview text is simply slapped above the mail content when replying or forwarding in Outlook. Secondly, if you don't enter a newsletter preview text (which is not specified as a must anywhere), Squarespace just pastes the first few lines from the mail content in there (this is not the automatically displayed preview text that you have with every mail) and slaps that back above the mail content as well, which looks super unprofessional. When someone forwards our newsletter to colleagues/bosses, it doesn't make a nice impression. Outlook seems to be the only tool so far that displays the text like this (the most used mail tool in the world..), but it can also be found in the HTML code in e.g. gmail, it's just not displayed there. If we send the template without squarespace, this doesn't happen and everything is as it should be and you won't find it in the HTML code either. This can' t be intended this way, can it? Maybe someone can clarify this behavior, or maybe it can even be turned off? Removed? Prevented? Thanks, Eyden
  18. It's really disappointing that we can't add events to our email campaigns. Anyone found a work around that doesn't require retyping or copying and pasting everything by hand before I give up?
  19. Site URL: https://wildbear.org Is there a way to remove the download icon that appears on hover in sent email campaigns? One of the websites I've built is for a nonprofit that runs a lot of children's programs, and the button seems to almost encourage downloads of the images we use and it's off-putting to parents. I realize that people can still screenshot any images they want, but the download icon needs to go. I've spoken with support and while they will submit a request to make removing this an option, it currently isn't one without the use of code. I can't seem to figure out the coding on my own, so any help would be great! I've attached an image to reference the icon appearing on hover:
  20. We manage our site/commerce purchases through Squarespace and manage email communication through ActiveCampaign. Specifically, we sell Lesson Plans BUT we also charge a monthly subscription fee to our customers. I am looking for a way to integrate transaction data made through Stripe/Squarespace to ActiveCampaign. I see there is a way to use Zapier to zap Stripe data to ActiveCampaign, but the issue that we're running into is not being able to differentiate between Lesson Plan purchases and Monthly Subscription fees. We do not want membership fee data integrated to ActiveCampaign, we only need to see the Lesson Plan purchases data in ActiveCampaign. Can you advise on how or if this is possible to do? I've gone through setting up a Zap for this action, but am not seeing a way to pull in this specific data piece from Stripe. Thank you!

Wondering about experiences with compatibility between scheduling/email campaigns/other integrations with particular email hosting providers (Apple iCloud+; ProtonMail; RackSpace; other???) Hi I am trying to set up an email automation campaign, I currently already have one live for subscribers however when I try to set up a second one for customers, it just schedules as a regular campaign. Per my subscription I should be allowed to set up unlimited automation emails. Can someone help? Thanks!
  24. Hi all, I have set up a discount code to go live tomorrow, however I am wanting this to only go to customers who spend X amount at the store. Is there any way I can do this? I have tried to set up an automated email campaign that will send to a segment of customers who spent X amount from tomorrow, however as there is nobody who is in that list yet (due to it starting tomorrow) it won't allow me to schedule (for some reason Squarespace sees this as a regular email campaign and not an automated). There must be a simpler way? Thanks!
