I.e. every first Friday of the month we offer 50% off *one* item but there are certain items mixed into our shop that we DON'T want to be included in the sale. In particular, she is looking to have an automatically triggered discount where you would add 3 items from the "t shirt" category and a $5.00 off discount would apply. We give a free seminar code to certain students, so the discount is connected to any products in the Seminar category. If our customer uses the code and has more than one seminar in the order, the discount is applied to all Seminars in their order instead of just one. I have tried using a 100% off discount, as well as an Amount Off discount (in the amount of one seat in a Seminar). Setting the Discount for a single product doesn't help because if they purchase more than one seat in the same Seminar, the discount is taken off both seats. I also limit it to one use, but i guess that applies to one order, not one item? Any help, or a viable work-around would be greatly appreciated.

Site URL: https://digitalfamiliescounselling.com.au Hi when my client puts in their discount code to change total to 0 on a digital item, they then must put in an email address to have the link sent to them. This then opens up the full shipping form, which is unnecessary, but it also gives them another option to put in the discount code. Although they have already entered a discount code previously on the right, my client re-entered the discount code in the space below the "Payment & Discounts" tab and the screen went blank when they clicked enter. They then had to refresh the screen and try again to enter their email ect.. and go round again. Some clients They think they need to enter the discount code twice as it also appears above their shipping address...and in the order summary on the right. When entering the discount code initially surely it should be then disabled, to avoid it having been entered twice in both windows? Am I doing something wrong? I either need to tell the clients not to enter the code twice or have one disabled at least.

We sell books and I'd like to sell a particular category at a discount when a particular purchase level is reached. Currently, there's no way to apply a discount based on "orders over" and "category" at the same time. Thanks for any ideas people can offer.

We have a Promotional Pop-up that appears upon visiting, and I'd like the incentive of a DC to get them to input. The ideal scenario is as follows: Someone visits the site The pop-up shows, and they input their email In their inbox, is a DC for 10% off their next order It's a single-use DC per customer / created automatically for them with a one-use limit Note: We don't send regular emails, only for big projects we are working on (i.e. a Kickstarter that's coming up), but otherwise the list is untouched. If anyone does something similar, please do let me know, but any advice is hugely appreciated 🙂
  11. Hi there, Having fun with Squarespace 7.1 for the first time. Is there a way to generate a number of unique discount codes in batch? It is important for us to generate unique discount codes for our members. Creating them one by one is looooooooooong. So we're looking for a way to generate them in batches, and ideally export them from Squarespace for easier distribution. Alternatively, we're open to import coupons if this is also possible. Patrick

  13. Site URL: https://www.lewisrossignolart.com/ My client wanted me to set up a sale on his site. I set up the sale via "discounts" under "commerce". The sale works once you get to the cart, but the sale price does not display on the category page or the product page. This essentially makes the feature useless as customers won't know items are on sale until they've already decided to buy. That's not how sales work. Squarespace informed me that the only way a sale price will display is if you put it on sale via the "edit product" page. That can't be right, can it? If you had hundreds of products you wanted to put on sale, it would take all day...and the same thing when you wanted to take them off sale. Somebody PLEASE help! Thanks in advance.

I have noticed that customer information (billing information) is missing for those orders whose order total is $0. Apparently, Squarespace thinks that shipping information and billing information is the same thing and that customer information for orders of $0 is not necessary. From a marketing perspective, not collecting the information of people placing orders is questionable. Many of our products are ordered as gifts so the billing and shipping information are different. Also, this means that only one email notification is sent out to just the recipient. This means that the person who placed the order is out of the loop for their order. I'm surprised that no one else has encountered this error. I have never seen an e-commerce system not collect the information of the person placing the order.

I want to show that if products are purchased on that page, buyers will receive a 10% discount. I do not want to use an "announcement bar", because I don't want this text to be seen on every page. We tried to use Easyship as a 3rd party integration, and they connect Fedex with Squarespace - but Easyship cannot integrate with those custom rates at checkout. Does anybody know how we can make this happen? Is there a 3rd party that can do this? Is there some code we can use? With Easyship, Fedex sees the Squarespace activity in real-time, but there is no way to tell the customer what they should pay, except for the default Squarespace Fedex rates.

  18. Hello, I've recently opened up a membership community using the Squarespace Member Area feature. After a few months of testing we have come to a massive road block with regards to how membership fees are processed. We have a few beta members and we would like to offer them a few discounted months after purchasing while they test out the site. As well, in the future we would like them to be able to receive discounted months every time they refer a friend to sign up. What we have discovered: 1) Discount coupons can ONLY be applied at the time of initial member area sign up. There is NO WAY to discount any future monthly purchases or offer any type of referral program. 2) If you ever modify the purchase price of your membership area, it only impacts future purchases. There is NO WAY to modify existing members membership fees. Squarespace support suggested work around was ask our members to cancel their subscription, re-sign up at a reduced rate and then ask them to cancel AGAIN and sign up for a 3rd time at a new full rate!!!! I cannot believe that this is their actual solution. How unprofessional would that be for us to ask members to cancel and re-apply not once but twice. Apparently there is a feature on the Commerce side of SS that you can pause monthly subscriptions to products, however this same function is not available to the member area. I then tried to see if this was something I could manage in Stripe when processing their payments, but it wouldn't work. I would have to still CANCEL all my members in SS and then set them up as reoccurring payments in Stripe. This cannot be because as soon as I cancel them in SS they lose access to the membership area. If anyone has ANY recommendation on how I can get around this it would be greatly appreciated. I assume we will need to find a third party processing work around or move to an alternative platform that can manage things like discount coupons for existing members and allow us to have affiliate benefits.

I am hoping to offer a 20% discount code to people who are purchasing multiples of the same product - is there any way to use conditional logic / more than one option for discounts? Are their any extensions or plugins that I can use to improve this? Right now my options are 20% off over a certain amount, however this doesn't restrict to the one product or category which means it can be abused easily. The other option is to offer 20% off a specific product, however again people can abuse this by taking 20% off even when only purchasing 1 of the product. Any help would be highly appreciated! There is a discount code option for 1 product but where is the option for multiple selected products? For example, I am giving a discount for 1 of my cakes but also the Halal version of my cake. That's 2 cakes but 2 cakes in different categories. I have two separate codes but this isn't ideal. I want them to have the same code.

  23. Hello all, Does Squarespace commerce have a plugin or option to offer a student discount? My company is coming from Wordpress's WooCommerce. I was previously able to find a plugin that would verify a customer's email as a .edu domain, and apply a discount to their order. Is it possible to implement such a system on Squarespace? Site URL: http://www.padstowspirits.co.uk I'm trying to set up a discount so that when someone purchases a specific product (because we can't afford to do free shipping on everything) they get free shipping just on that item. The item is a subscription. However, you only seem to be able to apply a free shipping discount to a total cart amount which does not work here. Is there no way of applying it to a product? Seems so basic but I can't find a way around it. thanks

Does anyone know if there's a way to add discount codes to your shop that works for the first 2-3 weeks of a subscription purchase, rather than just the first week or all throughout the subscription period? The screenshot below are the current options, but maybe someone knows of a plugin that allows us to do this, or a workaround? Thanks!
