Is it possible to make the link visible in mobile menu? Now I have directly added the landing page(Nordic) to the menu folder Right under link. And it looks good on mobile. If posible I would like "Nordic" to be bold. 2. How so I make "Nordic" bold in mobile only. But on desktop version I now have two "NORDIC" both linking to the same landing page. On the desktop version I want to hide the sub menu item "NORDIC". 3. How do I hide "NORDIC" in the sub menu? Any help would be appreciated. Best regards Thomas
  2. Site URL: http://bradleystearn.co.uk/ I'm struggling to find a way to remove the negative/blank space on the mobile view of my website. Viewing on desktop the design is how I would like it, swithcing to a mobile view you'll see a lot of negative white space between my header, and the image slideshow. I've been hunting around the design section of the edit menu, but cannot find a way to remove this space, which doesn't affect the design of the desktop version. http://bradleystearn.co.uk/ Thank you
  3. Site URL: https://viola-lion-ynnj.squarespace.com/our-story I'm hoping someone can help me with this! I'm using a 7.0 version of the Brine template. The banner images will not resize from desktop to mobile view and the font size looks great on the desktop view and giant in the mobile view. I have tried a few CSS codes from @tuanphan (listed below) I have found on other posts and none of them worked. I am sure it's user error on my part. My site is supposed to go live on September 1st. Please help!! What am I doing wrong? @media screen and (max-width:640px) { .homepage .section-background img { width: 100% !important; height: auto !important; } } <style> @media screen and (max-width:767px) { section.has-background { min-height: 40vh !important; } } </style> Thank you in advance! Bailey
  4. Site URL: http://www.bighousecards.com Trying to find a little code to change the 7.1 store mobile or both view to be a category dropdown vs. a scrolling list to the right or left. The average person wouldn't know to scroll categories. Took me a while to figure it out thinking my categories were not being displayed. Really appreciate any assistance as this is an annoying issue and I really don't want to change versions just for this. Thank you Ryan
  5. Site URL: https://www.doritjaffe.com/ My custom font is active in the web builder and on my desktop but the website reverts back to the default/system font on mobile and other desktops. I uploaded an .otf, .ttf, woff and woff 2 files. I feel like I've uploaded everything necessary, is there something I am doing wrong. Thanks for the help! @font-face{ font-family: 'ModenaSans-Regular'; src: url ('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e51ebd012eb83660a18430c/t/5f299e1db82e0a1a83a9425e/1596562973434/ModenaSans-Regular.otf'), url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e51ebd012eb83660a18430c/t/5f3d56a52d553a03bda87d48/1597855397887/ModenaSans-Regular.ttf'), url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e51ebd012eb83660a18430c/t/5f3d58d79004342427382105/1597855959709/ModenaSans-Regular.woff'), url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e51ebd012eb83660a18430c/t/5f3d58db40ab7c08450d8a8f/1597855963717/ModenaSans-Regular.woff2'); font-weight: regular; } h1 {font-family: 'ModenaSans-Regular'; }
  6. Site URL: https://www.maxwellflick.com Hi, For the most part I have been able to add squarespace custom css to give my site the look I want but I am completely stumped on this mobile view issue. I want to have the content on mobile view look exactly like the content on the desktop version. On the page https://www.maxwellflick.com/portraits the desktop view is perfect but switching over to mobile view it throws away the space blocks and jumbles together the images and text to display in a single column. Is there a code that exists to disable the mobile view and tablet view completely so that every format has exactly the same spacing? Essentially always forcing the desktop version to show? I see a lot of posts from last year where there was apparently an option to change the mobile breakpoint to 0px but I don't have that option in my style editor. site is private: flick2020 Thanks!
  7. Hello, I am building a very simple site for a restaurant. The navigation is made-up of simple text links fixed at the top of the site. I would like to be able to keep those nav links visible in mobile as well, instead of the hamburger menu. What code would do the trick? Thanks in advance.
  8. Site URL: http://www.ozankarakoc.com Hello Friends! (My website is at www.ozankarakoc.com and I'm in the Business Plan.) Thanks to an earlier post, I achieved to force the hamburger menu to show up on desktop, but I couldn't find a way to format the overlay that opens when clicking the hamburger menu icon. The font size is too big that, when I place all my menu items, a scroll bar shows up, which looks unprofessional. Is there a way to make the font smaller or reduce the line spacing so that all the navigation items fit in the overlay? Thanks in advance! Ozan
  9. Site URL: http://talenttactics.co.uk I would like the desktop footer to appear exactly the same on mobile, currently it is coming up like this on mobile: instead of as is on desktop:
  10. Site URL: https://menuez.com/ I have a cover page with an auto-play video background for desktop that is replaced with a fallback image on mobile. The mobile fallback image flashes on screen before the video starts playing on desktop. Is there any way to disable the fallback image from showing on desktop or replace it with a background color while retaining image on mobile?
  11. i'm looking to have a photo that's on one page of the desktop version of my site NOT appear on my mobile site. it's my headshot and it comes up giant on the mobile site and it's just awkward (my site isn't active yet btw because of this so i didn't put the link but i included some screenshots). i have version 7.1 and the picture is formatted as "Card" with the image on the left and the text on the right in one block. this is what the squarespace support guy said: "You may be able to do this with custom code, however this would be considered an advanced modification and therefore fall outside our scope of support. Additionally, it could cause unwanted errors elsewhere on your site. I would be happy to share some resources though." so, i'm looking to see if there could be a custom code to change the mobile display (removing the photo from the page) while keeping the desktop display the same (keeping the photo there). please let me know if you can help out with this! thank you
  12. Site URL: http://www.glossi.io Hi all, I have a background video in one of my sections and the fallback image displays for a moment when the video hits the loop point. 14. Site URL: https://www.joeandjenphoto.com Hello, I use the Maple template from the Brine family, and I'm looking for some code to do the following: I'd like the full page index gallery on my home page to have a fixed height on desktop only, but not on mobile. I prefer the crop of the 'fixed height' on desktop so the image doesn't stretch too far down, but do not like the vertical cropping that it creates on mobile. Basically - I would like the original crop of my photos to be maintained across all platforms. I've chatted with SS support and it doesn't seem to be possible within the site styles. Thank you for your time! Joe https://www.joeandjenphoto.com
  15. I was very pleased with the desktop view and started tweaking the mobile section. To my horror, the design overrode my dekstop view. Help!

  18. Site URL: http://jlinnertarchitecture.com Hi all, I am trying to make it so that when a visitor sees my homepage, they get a random image every time. With that being said, I would like for the image, when viewed on mobile, to be chosen from a set of vertically-oriented shots, and when viewed on desktop, to be among a set of landscape-oriented shots. I have seen some people mentioning that they have a different home page for mobile, or an index of it or something. I'm fairly competent with HTML generally, but new to CSS and Squarespace. So I don't totally understand the structures and backend. Can anyone help offer guidance with how I can achieve this? Ideally, I would link the images from ones hosted on other pages in my squarespace website. Thank you very much. This is a screenshot of how my site is organized now.
  19. Site URL: https://www.bypaigejordan.com/ Hello Everyone, I ran into a little problem trying to place the Titles of the products over the image on the product page similar to the desktop version pictures attached. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks
  20. Hello, My website is nearly complete. I've added several customizations using CSS and JavaScript to make the site work nicely on a desktop. However, when viewing the site on mobile the layout becomes totally scrambled. I'm wondering: Is there a way to force a site to a desktop view even when using mobile? I've tried disabling the mobile layout in my template but I still encounter the same issues. The template I'm using is Native. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
  21. Site URL: https://www.studio2299.com/about-1 I want to show the full-width of the image on both Mobile and Desktop. I am using a banner which crop horizontally on mobile. Is there a way to hide the banner on mobile and show an Image block instead? I have a test page with the banner and the image that I'd like to use on Mobile. I've seen some instructions on how to replace the banner with an image, but that solution uses the banner container. Any suggestions?
  22. I have two sets of images, one for desktop and one for mobile, each within the same gallery. The desktop version has a more elaborate layout that will not read in mobile so I want to use css to show/hide depending on the screen size. I'm using the code below and it's working perfectly except for one issue. On the desktop version after the last image instead of returning to the beginning you see a black black screen. The mobile images are hidden but the navigation is still loading the blank pages. How do I point the link back to the first image? /* Mobile*/ @media only screen and (max-width: 800px) { #collection-############################### .slide:nth-child(-n + 22) { display:none; } } /*Desktop */ @media only screen and (min-width: 800px) { #collection-############################### .slide:nth-child(n + 23) { display:none; } }
  23. Site URL: https://parrotfish-asparagus-tyfd.squarespace.com/config/pages Hi all, First time poster here. I have forced the hamburger for desktop display, but don't want the menu to overlay the entire desktop screen. Do you have any suggestions for code to reduce the overlay on desktop to ~50%? Thanks
  24. Site URL: https://lychee-hexagon-xtzb.squarespace.com/ Hello, I am very confused about Breaking points. I have a client who has a computer that's 4K and dimensions are 3840x2160 I am creating a site for him and the site looks good on a laptop but when it get's bigger it stretches out. Unfortunately I can't see what he means as I don't have the same screen size as him so I don't feel like I am equipped to design a site for a larger screen. I am learning more about coding and breaking points and I am wondering if there is anyone out there who knows a thing or two about how to have your content look the same across all screens. I read an article about something like using px instead of pixels and ems or something like that. I have no idea it's uncharted territory for me. Clients Site: https://lychee-hexagon-xtzb.squarespace.com/ Password: moretti If I can't solve It he might hire another designer. So I appreciate the help!
  25. Site URL: http://gregorylassale.com Hello, I am using a blend of HMTL, CSS and JS to add scrolldown arrows on certain pages of my site. Here is the CSS: .scroll a { position: absolute; bottom: 20px; left: 46.5%; z-index: 2; display: inline-block; -webkit-transform: translate(0, -50%); transform: translate(0, -50%); color: black; font : normal 400 20px/1 'montserrat', sans-serif; letter-spacing: .1em; text-decoration: none; transition: opacity .3s; } .scroll a:hover { opacity: .5; } #arrow a { padding-top: 70px; } #arrow a span { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 50%; width: 24px; height: 24px; margin-left: -12px; border-left: 1px solid black; border-bottom: 1px solid black; -webkit-transform: rotate(-45deg); transform: rotate(-45deg); -webkit-animation: sdb05 1.5s infinite; animation: sdb05 1.5s infinite; box-sizing: border-box; } @-webkit-keyframes sdb05 { 0% { -webkit-transform: rotate(-45deg) translate(0, 0); opacity: 0; } 50% { opacity: 1; } 100% { -webkit-transform: rotate(-45deg) translate(-20px, 20px); opacity: 0; } } @keyframes sdb05 { 0% { transform: rotate(-45deg) translate(0, 0); opacity: 0; } 50% { opacity: 1; } 100% { transform: rotate(-45deg) translate(-20px, 20px); opacity: 0; } } I played with the left position a bit and it looks center on desktop, but it's a bit off to the right on mobile. Is there CSS property that allows to center elements across all platforms? I'd like it center relative to the rest of the content on the page. Thank you
