Before the customer submits an order they want to either have the customer login to an existing customer account or force them to create a customer account. The client does not want the general public to view their pricing without a customer account. Basically the customer adds items to the shopping cart and when they click the Check Out button it takes them to a page like this where they have to login or register for a new customer account. https://www.ultradent.com/register#/ How can we go about doing this?   2. What is the best CRM for a one-person business consulting service? I need a way to track contacts, customers, etc. -- who they are, how I met them, what we discussed, potential interest in my professional services (and what), next steps, etc.. I want something a step up from Excel but not as extensive as Salesforce.
  3. I am trying to create mailing lists for different product groups on my site. I therefore want import clients via .csv files I can create from my offsite data base. However I want these clients to come in tagged with different interests so I can then send email campaign to specific tagged groups. No idea where that is covered. Also segments - I seem somehow to have created one - but no idea how to create another or how to add new 'clients' to existing or new segment. So need comprehensive Tag and Segment Client/customer advice.

As it is now, they stack up under products (for mysterious reasons under random products) and repeat, word for word, under yet more products. How annoying for someone trying to look at things! My customers want to leave reviews, but the only format available is really a mess. I'm a woodcarver with endless individual items, one customer for instance bought three separate things, wrote review for each, and all three reviews show up here there and everywhere, so anyone scrolling through products can't escape seeing her reviews over and over. Anyone have work around solution? thanks!
  5. Is there a way to only sell digital products to customers from the USA? I want to avoid the tax issues with selling to other countries for the time being. I saw that there is a way to set up shipping zones, but will that work with digital products?
  6. Hi I have been trying for weeks now to get a direct answer, for a simple question, from support, with frustrating results. Does Squarespace collect any information, personal or otherwise, from me or my website visitors, and share or sell to third parties for any reason but, specifically for targeted advertising? Pretty straightforward question right? But the only thing I get back from support is links to their Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Data Processing, etc. I’ve read through all of those. If the answer is buried in there somewhere I am unable to suss it out. The legalese hurts my head. Is Squarespace trying to hide the answer? Or are their support people really so unqualified as to not know the answer? Or are legally restricted from giving me a clear answer? Can anyone out there give me a straightforward answer to this straightforward question, please? Thanks, David

Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to customize language in the section of the e-mail where I see the Order summary, I need to translate all words that are in english like quantity, price, placed on *** etc. Can I do it in CSS? Is there a way around it? I see it's possible to switch it automatically for the supported languages but my language is not one of them yet. Thank you!

  12. I sell a few stock items, but mainly offer work on commission. I've got product pages for the stock items but need a way to regularly let customers pay me for a custom piece. Can I invoice them? Can I set up a product page that isn't visible to everyone and then adjust price details for each piece I sell, then send the customer a link? I know how to make my products, not much about how to program the web aspect of business. Thanks for any help.
  13. Does anyone know of any plugins or some other way to blacklist/ block a specific person from making purchases from an online store. One of my clients is has a problem customer... Helpdesk said there is no built-in function to block specific IPs etc at this time. Thanks for any ideas!
  14. Hi, My client expressed concern migrating contacts into Squarespace (or any newsletter provider or CRM for that matter). Honestly, I never considered that using Squarespace to store emails on a list could be a privacy concern. The client currently uses Gmail to send newsletters to their list, and seems pretty adamant that no one can have their contacts. Can anyone offer insight into this situation? I looked up privacy policy stuff for Squarespace and found one official document, but very little explaining how it compares to other services. I don't know much about this stuff so it feels like reading Greek! Thanks, Lily
  15. Short version: I want to sync customer emails from those who purchase on our site to HubSpot. Long version: We have a Squarespace site using the Brine template and we are heavy HubSpot users (CRM, email, workflows, forms, advertising). We've built up demand for our product which will be taking pre-orders in a month, so we have a solid list of names we manage in HubSpot. We use HubSpot forms embedded in the site, so we get names from people who come to our site that weren't reached by advertising. (site for reference: https://www.bruisecruisegame.com) What I ultimately want to know is if someone comes to our site and purchases, but isn't on our mailing list, how can I sync those names with HubSpot other than by exporting and importing names. I know it's possible, but I don't want to have any manual processes at all. I will mention that we're using the business plan for now. When we start taking pre-orders, we'll move to a commerce plan, so maybe the answer is obvious with one of those plans, but for now, I can't figure it out. Even with Zapier. It looks like there's only newsletter integrations. Thanks in advance.

  17. What app do you recommend for tracking contacts and customer calls/conversations. I am just starting an HR Consulting business (just me to start). I'd like to have a tool to use to track the name of the contact, date, a summary of our discussion, follow-up, etc. I was thinking of something a couple steps better than a standard Excel sheet. We’re a business based in France but we do ship worldwide, however for some countries not directly on the website (such as the US) as not all of our products are able to be sent there (too large/heavy). So we set up manual invoices for these, as we can’t set up on the website to not sell certain items to certain countries. A bit frustrating but it works well enough. However increasingly we are getting people from the US buy on our website but not change the country at checkout. It’s automatically pre-selected as France, but if people changed it to the US they would see that they can’t proceed with their order. But they don’t, and the system allows them to proceed with their US address but with France as the country. Which is obviously incorrect and not calculating the correct shipping cost at all. Is there a way that the customer HAS to select their country? Instead of it being default on a certain country? At least this way they might realise...

Ladies and Gents, does anyone know how to / is able to add a feature of changing the date when customer's subscription is charged? my customers buy on our site for the first time and automatically subscribe, that's the only option. however, before we start preparing the next delivery, we check with the customer if they need it this month. they can postpone without charge. id they do, i obviously don't want to charge them. but squarespace doesn't offer that option. i have to cancel the whole subscription of that customer. so rubbish customer experience. does anyone have a ready solution? or is able to write one? or maybe there is a different way (e.g. manage subscriptions through stripe? it's our payment processor, they have the service called billing, but i have no idea if it's possible to make it happen and how to set up squarespace and stripe in that case to do it) thanks!
