  1. Site URL: https://rafida.org Hey, We've added 3 custom social link icons on our BRINE website. The icons are fine when there is an overlay behind the icons. They appear white with no issue. But when there is no overlay (and just a plain white background), the regular social link icons change to gray, but the 3 new custom icons remain white. Two bits of code I'm using have been supplied below, and I've added screenshots showing the issue. Website access: rafida.org pass: lastphasetesting3 Any ideas? ----------------------------------------------------------- I adding the below code to custom CSS to change the colour, but the colour I pick only changes the standard icons and not the 3 custom icons. .tweak-social-icons-style-regular .SocialLinks-link-icon{ fill: grey; } .tweak-social-icons-style-regular .SocialLinks:hover .SocialLinks-link-icon{ fill: grey; } .tweak-social-icons-style-regular .SocialLinks:hover .SocialLinks-link:hover .SocialLinks-link-icon{ fill: grey; } I've used the following code to add the 3 custom social icons: .SocialLinks-inner a:nth-child(5){ content: url("https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e4d565f9a543a4fb8ddc540/t/5f168b01b9ec1e5fe976efe3/1595312897641/4th.png") !important; } .SocialLinks-inner a:nth-child(6){ content: url("https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e4d565f9a543a4fb8ddc540/t/5f16fa9a377d4a7f30b3e370/1595341466544/whatsapp2.png") !important; } .SocialLinks-inner a:nth-child(7){ content: url("https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e4d565f9a543a4fb8ddc540/t/5f16ed8b795a690f8322dacb/1595338123572/email.png") !important; }
  2. Site URL: https://www.supersonic-monkey.com/vision There are 3 titles in my footer. Get involved, Debut Product Launch, & Contact Us Direct I want all three to have custom font (which I have already installed in Squarespace) and custom colour. I know how to change colour with custom CSS as have done it in other areas, however I have used the block identifier tool but it will not change colour even though I have tried all the possible blocks that appear using the identifier. I have also pressed F12 to locate blocks but it wont change colour using the blocks I find there either. Please could someone show me how to change the colour and font of those three headings using custom CSS? The password to the site is 2222
  3. Site URL: http://www.amarrajournal.com Hi all. I've set up different colour themes for each page. When viewing on mobile it appears one can scroll further than is needed at the top and bottom of every page, revealing the website background(?) - which is not wanted. I assume the colour of the background is bring lifted from the home page, which is a stark contrast to most other pages. Is there a way to stop scrolling too far on mobile? Else, for the background to be the respective colour of the page via its own colour theme? Website password is forumpassword, the template is Gates. Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone, I would have thought this was the easiest thing to do. I am using version 7.1 if that helps. I have my own branding and colour palette, which was designed for my business. However - it will only allow me to change the colour palette and choose from their range. There is a custom option but it won't let me just change the colour for example of all the headers and then the background. It allows me to change the colour of one part of the colour palette and then that's it. Even then, i clicked save and it didn't do anything. I don't want anything complicated. I have my CMYK numbers (which I can convert to suit the RGB or whatever this platform is using) i only probably want two colours anyway, I just want them to be my colours and I don't really want a palette as such! Please tell me this is possible. I would have thought the colour of a font or background would be the easiest thing to change!

  6. Site URL: https://www.benjohnsonphoto.com/ Hello, I'm wanting to alter the mobile menu overlay colours, however I am unable to find it in the squarespace design settings or use the correct CSS. 7. Site URL: https://www.theshoreatgerringong.com.au Hi, I set up a site and now 2 months later the sites MOBILE book now button isn't displaying white text. It is showing on desktop and the link works and if I change the colour scheme the text is on there.. So how can I change this and would there be any reason it has just changed to the same colour as the button/why it shows on desktop and not mobile? I have used CSS to make the text white however I'm not sure the code was correct as it did not change the button text. Thanks, Lee

  9. Site URL: http://www.christophevandeneynde.com Hi, a feature that is part of the template of my website is that, when hovering over a navigation title on the home page, the background image changes. However, this creates a mismatch with the colours of the image and the black coloured title. So I was wondering how I could code that the colour of the title changes to red when the cursor hovers over it (and thus when the background changes to an image). Thank you very much. Christophe

  12. Site URL: https://fifty-fifth.com/about Hey! I have been using this code to change the colour of my burger icon (when on mobile) but recently it seemed to stop working for some reason: .burger-inner:after { background: #ffc800 !important; } .burger-inner:before { background: #ffc800 !important; } I have tried it out on a friends 7.1 site that has zero additional CSS and it didn't work on his either. I was wondering whether Squarespace have updated their software to block the code or if there is a way around it to re-apply the colour change? At the moment it is just the default colour of the section theme of each page. Thanks!

  18. Can each Block in the layout engine have its own background colour? This would be a big way to customize the look of the templates. This has been discussed various times on here but I don’t think I’ve seen a definitive simple answer – in particular there’s been a lot of discussion across various threads that block IDs YUI seem to change so targeting a block ID with color doesn’t seem to work permanently. Colored blocks are pretty standard now on major websites as a way of structuring different types of content. See the examples below:
  19. Hi Is it possible to have different Shopping Cart Quantity Colours (circle colour) across different pages - I have 2 main Categories in my shop which have a different colour theme across each page. Using the Template Brine Thank you
  20. Site URL: https://grapefruit-maroon-t44d.squarespace.com/ Hey team, I am wondering if anyone has an easy solution to having a dark and light version of the logo that works with the colour settings in the nav? For example the logo looks great in white on a banner image but when I have a page that doesn't have a banner image the logo is lost on the white background. It's easy to set up the nav items to behave correctly on different pages but the logo seems a bit trickier. Surely Squarespace haven't presumed people are just going to bypass logos and write the business name in a font so it works?! I am using 7.1 Thanks in advance
  21. Site URL: https://www.narla.com.au/experience Hello, I have added a simple code block for a dropdown menu. I'm just wondering how to change the font and colour to make it match with my page. 23. Site URL: https://garlic-rhubarb-z5as.squarespace.com/ Hello, I'd like to have one particular colour on my homepage and a different one on the others. I've tried two different ways, none of which are working. First one was adding to Page Settings > Advanced > Header <style> div#site { background: white; } </style> And second was adding to Design > Custom CSS <style> .collection-type-index #about { background-color:#FAFAFA!important;} </style> I'm really confused why none of those are working. I just need my home page to be orange and all the other ones to be white. Can anyone help me out?
  24. Site URL: http://www.elizabeth-curtis.com Hello everyone, I am using the Horizon template, on my front page I need the Site Title and Navigation links to be white, but on the rest of the website I need it to black. 25. Site URL: https://fifty-fifth.com/ned-champain/japan-ready Hey there! URL in question: https://fifty-fifth.com/ned-champain/japan-ready I'm having an issue with my portfolio pages. I have made the background of these specific pages black as well as the footer of the page - however, when viewing the site on mobile device or when decreasing the width of my browser window there is a large white block that separates the portfolio navigation and the footer. Is there anyway to fill this white block with black? I have tried to move things around and apply spacers but it ruined the design so I'm turning to CSS. It seems like a Squarespace error! Even when I remove all custom code from the entire site there is the same issue. Thanks! Ned
