  1. Site URL: https://fifty-fifth-test-site.squarespace.com/ I have created a home page that has a video playing in the background - I have then made my header transparent so that the video fills the entire page. The navigation and social logos changed to white when I did this, which is great as they are now visible over the dark video. However, I had to change my logo to be white so that it’s visible over the video as well. On my other pages that I am now beginning to create there is no video and the background is light - the navigation and social buttons go back to being darker (thumbs up) BUT I will have to change my logo back to being dark (thumbs down). Is there a way to have two versions of my logo and have it change in the same way that the navigation and social buttons do (white on dark background - black on light background)? Is this possible through custom CSS? I'm not much of a coder so would appreciate any guidance whatsoever! I have attached two screen grabs. One of the darker background (homepage with video) and the other with the lighter background (current about page with white logo where I want it to be dark). Thanks very much in advance!
  2. Site URL: https://www.difeidesign.com/ Hi there! I want to get the links on my home page to change from black to white when you hover over them. I want the navigation to stay the same colour, but I want the actual links on the home page to change. I feel like this might be a CSS issue but I thought it was worth asking here! I'm using Squarespace 7.1 and the Hawley template, if that helps. My site is https://www.difeidesign.com/ Thanks a bunch in advance!

  6. Site URL: https://grapefruit-maroon-t44d.squarespace.com/ Hey team, I am wondering if anyone has an easy solution to having a dark and light version of the logo that works with the colour settings in the nav? For example the logo looks great in white on a banner image but when I have a page that doesn't have a banner image the logo is lost on the white background. It's easy to set up the nav items to behave correctly on different pages but the logo seems a bit trickier. Surely Squarespace haven't presumed people are just going to bypass logos and write the business name in a font so it works?! I am using 7.1 Thanks in advance

  11. Hello, I'm trying to change the colour of one h1 heading on one page, and none of the usual stuff is working. I'm putting it in the advanced area of that page. What am i doing wrong? At the very bottom of this page, where it says "connect with me". I want that to be red, not white https://www.caroline-shenaz-hossein.com/caroline-shenaz-hossein Thanks

My other question is how to code my logo and navigation bar to be fixed but get smaller upon scrolling. The template I am using is Brine.
  14. Hello! Ive designed a website geotruckin.co.uk and would like to change 3 lines of text red (service page, bottom 3 lines) without changing the whole design. Ive found out the only way to do it is through the Advanced settings with coding, however I don't know much about that. Does anyone have any advice or know how to do it? Thanks for your help! 🙌
  15. I'd love some help with this one. A customer is experimenting with colour backgrounds for select pages and I need to change the font colour in this one page only: https://www.leadingedgedc.com/solutions-for-your-business Until they decide on their alternate block colours, I'm using this Custom CSS: /* COLOUR BACKGROUND FOR SOLUTIONS FOR YOUR BUSINESS */ #solutions-for-your-business { background-color: #1e3267; border-style: solid; border-color: #d7cbd7; border-width: 2px; h2{ color: white; } p { colour: white; } .summary-title { colour: white } } In the editor view, the background and H2 colours are appearing as per custom CSS, but the paragraph and Summary title text remain black instead of white. When I check the published page, none of the custom colours are showing. Have I got the CSS wrong? Appreciate the help.
  16. Can each Block in the layout engine have its own background colour? This would be a big way to customize the look of the templates. This has been discussed various times on here but I don’t think I’ve seen a definitive simple answer – in particular there’s been a lot of discussion across various threads that block IDs YUI seem to change so targeting a block ID with color doesn’t seem to work permanently. Colored blocks are pretty standard now on major websites as a way of structuring different types of content. See the examples below:
  17. https://independent-leaders.squarespace.com/ We're trying to work out a way to make the logo white on the homepage and black across all other pages on the site. Any ideas? I've played with the custom CSS but not yet able to make any of it work! Cheers
  18. Hi there! I'm trying to make sections that have differently coloured full width backgrounds. The content stays within the site-width but the background spans across the entire width. (like they do it with the footer here, but doing the same for content sections http://squarespace.com/templates/?q=devlin) How can I achieve that? I have very little knowledge of code, so the more explanations the better :) Any help would be much appreciated!
