  1. I searched for my specific situation but found nothing definitive. I have several client websites under my account that I manage. Added a trial 10 days ago and the client prefers to have ownership and give me permission to manage content (edits additions etc) before the trial ends. I have already given the owner administrator privileges. When I began the transfer ownership procedure it asked for my account login password. Will this transfer all of my accounts to the new owner or the specific site I am currently logged into? I do not want to affect ownership/permissions for the other websites in my account. Any help clarifying this would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi all. I can't seem to find this question anywhere on the Circle forums. Hoping someone can help. I have a client who has a Squarespace site built by another designer. They have terminated their contract with that designer and hired me to redesign their website and fix some things their previous designer did. The only problem is the previous designer holds all the login credentials and is listed as the official Owner of the site, however it is paid for by my client. All attempts to contact the previous designer to obtain the login credentials and Ownership have proven unsuccessful (related: this is partially why they were fired). The contract my client had with the designer does not specify that the website would be the property of the designer and not the client. Is there any recourse through Squarespace I can advise my client to pursue? How do I resolve this issue short of building a brand new website from scratch thereby losing the domain name and messing with brand the client has built over decades. Thanks so much.
  3. I'm a student designing a site for a non-profit. Is there a way to transfer ownership once I'm done designing or would it be better to sign-up for Squarespace with their own email and request access as a designer?
  4. I helped a client in the past on the Square Space platform, so I'm a little familiar with it. I have about 3 clients that I would like to move to the Square Space platform. My question is, what's the best way to go about doing that? Would it be best to build all their sites under my account, flip the bill, and just recharge them the fees (if Square Space doesn't have terms against that)? At the same time, I don't know that I really want to flip that bill every month. I would rather have them deal with it. Is there a way to build a site out and then pass it off to their account once complete? The other option, I guess, is they'd have to create an account and give me access to help them build out their sites. The down side of that is I'm not sure if they want to do that or not. Something I'll have to find out. Anyway, was wondering if anyone else has done something similiar and the best way to go about handling it. Thank you.
