  1. Hi, I'm working with a client https://www.veganfairs.co.uk/ and they would like to add unique content to the top of each category page. For example https://www.veganfairs.co.uk/upcoming-events?category=Frome will have its own content at the top of the page and https://www.veganfairs.co.uk/upcoming-events?category=Devizes will have its own unique content also. Is there a way to do this with custom css? When I'm adding it currently via the builder, it changes across all categories and the /upcoming-events page too. I've seen similar threads on this but nothing has helped so far. Thanks!
  2. Can you kindly show me how to hide the category with the Video Library page please?
  3. Hey folks. I just found out how to use code to hide particular sections from view in mobile, and this has been super helpful. What I'd like to do next might be a bit more complicated though... Can I use code to remove sections from a specific URL too? For example, with my Shop I'd like to make it so I have a categories section displayed for the storefront, but i'd like to remove them from the specific category pages (eg. my Charms, Prints sub-sections). Is there a way to do this? I would usually do a code injection into the header, but since it's the shop it technically doesn't have seperate pages... I've drawn up what i'm looking for incase that was confusing! I have the Squarespace IDs extension downloaded btw if that helps. Many thanks!
  4. I want the category "On Sale" to appear Red and at the top of the category listing. I've tried the following CSS to make red but it doesn't work. I have no idea how to put a specific category at the top of the list. I don't see a way to do it with built-in tools. I'm using Version 7.0– Brine family (Burke template) Thanks for your help /* Make On Sale Category Red in Category List */ .ProductList-filter-list-item-link [href="/artwork?category=On+Sale"]{ color: red }
  5. I am trying to add a custom text block onto each of my category pages. The idea is when you click on the category page, a brief summary of the products will show up. Currently, the same text shows up amongst all the pages when adding a text block. https://ukulele-flamingo-4zf8.squarespace.com/
  6. There are a variety of details to consider when setting up your online store, all in service of the ultimate goal: helping your customers find what they’re looking for and complete checkout smoothly. Get a head start by brainstorming tags, categories, and subcategories so customers can quickly find what they are looking for and browse related items. Think early on about which shipping options and potential discount codes might serve you best. These kinds of decisions can have a direct impact on performance. How do you make sure your online store is set up for success? Share in the comments below!
  7. Hi all, first post and new to Squarespace - love it! (I have moved over from Shopify, and have a background Joomla) I have managed to get through the Add Description to Category and Add Store Category Page Description (Github), and working well, except I cannot add it to the main parent category - that is sourced from the main commerce menu item (I renamed the 'All' category to 'Wall Art') Parent Category Parent Category (Wall Art) Page Header Code Injection is 'Wall Art' : 'test', Child Category example - the site is live - in case there are some geo lags in DNS resolution, site is accessible via: https://celery-plantain-tgt2.squarespace.com/
  8. Site URL: http://mattretzlaff.com Is there a way to re-order the product categories on the Shop page? I need them to be: All / Large Scale / Tabletop and Wall / Garden right now my site is password protected because it's not yet live pw: retzlaff
  9. Hi all, Is there a way of adding category and tag functionality to portfolio page settings? The are not available on current template - only for Blogs. thanks
  10. Hi everyone, My store sells rock climbing gear https://www.extremegear.org/shop . At the recommendation of this forum, I installed the universal filter plugin, which was surprisingly easy. Thanks! I am having a hard time following the instructions from their website, so please bare with me. Currently, the "tags" dropdown displays every tag that I have ever created, as it is supposed to. 1) Is there a way to exclude some of the tags from the drop down? 2) Is there a way to filter the tags based off of the category? Or better yet, create a custom list of tags for each category/subcategory? Such as when someone clicks on the dynamic rope category, only tags that are related to that category are displayed, or say just "rope diameters" are displayed. Thanks, John
  11. Is it possible to change the layout for store categories and subcategories? This is my main store page which will have this this title and a blurb underneath. I want each category and subcategory to have its own unique blurb and layout. Is that possible? Right now it seems that whatever changes I make to the main store page also appear on the subsequent category pages of my the store. Do I have to just create many different stores? Or is there way to do it with code within one store? Thanks!
  12. Good morning friends, I think I have a simple problem I'm working on dealing with URL linking to certain tags and categories. I am using universal filter so I don't know if that will play into what I'm looking for- I'm trying to link one category and two tags in a url that goes to my shop. I've done a lot of googling over this and I can't tell if it's something that's not possible or if I'm searching the wrong key words to find an example. Current URL : The "New" button has the current url link: https://www.i70rvcenter.com/inventory?category=Travel Trailer&tags=New Arrivals URL Needed : Instead of the tag "New Arrivals" I'm wanting to switch it out for the years. 2022 and 2023, New arrivals is now being used for any and all new arrivals (Pre owned or new). I very easily could just add a new tag called "new" and put the 2022 and 2023 RVs in that tag, and just hide the tag from the main shop. But if it's possible to do 2 tags within a url then it would save a lot of headaches with co-workers. Let me know what you think and as always thank you for any help given.
  13. Site URL: https://marigold-crane-bhtr.squarespace.com/ Hi all, I'm wondering if on the category page (i.e. Dance) I can display sub categories or tags which will then filter the blog posts. Similar to this website https://pointemagazine.com/category/cross-training, they have the category Health & Body and then sub-categories 'ask amy', 'higher ed', 'view all', etc... Is this possible with Squarespace, will I need custom code? I know I can add an archive blog with tags or categories but those will be tags across all the categories. I'd like them to be on the category page and then filter by the three sub-categories.
  14. Hello, Is it possible to hide products from one category from the 'all' page in my shop? I would like to hide the products from the 'ready to ship' category from the all page, so they only appear when you view the ready to ship category. Thanks, Anna
  15. Site URL: https://www.corgimedia.co Hi, I made a store with 3 categories, Presets, Prints and Merch. I want to hide the Prints from the main store, while keeping the merch and presets visible. I found a post that helped hide all products with the following code injection: is there a way to either manipulate this code or a new code that could do what I'm trying to achieve? Thanks
  16. Trying to add a short description under a filtered category for my clients store — see existing 7.0 site https://www.loomrugs.com/c-c If I add a new section on on the filtered page, it propagates throughout each rug style — client wants to add a short little descriptor for each type of rug style. I've set up the 'all categories' page like that as I'm going to add a summary image randomiser to cycle through photos. Site can be found here: https://loomrugsalter.squarespace.com Thanks!

  18. Site URL: https://www.drinkstrolley.com.au/shop Hi, Has anyone been able to hide certain categories in their store page? If so, how? I'm struggling with code, etc to make it happen. 19. Site URL: https://www.compas.org/artists Hello, We're an arts education provider and use our web store as a catalog of hirable artists. We use an archive block at the top of the page to allow users to sort the "products" by category, but in the last 24 hours, we've had some weird issues with the archive block. On the backend editor, the block will sometimes show up as completely empty (see attached image), and on the front end, it will disappear completely. I was unable to get a screen capture of what the page looks like when the archive block is missing, but I've attached an image of what it should look like. Is this a known issue? Anything we can do about this? Thank you!
  20. Site URL: https://andreahitpas.squarespace.com Site: https://andreahitpas.squarespace.com Password: paintings Hello - is it possible to add category descriptions to each individual category page within a store page? Specifically for the site above, I'd like to have a different description for each of the categories: New World Oil Paintings, Framed Ink Paintings, Fiber Art Wall Hangings, and One Hit Wonders. When I change the text at the top of the Store front page, it changes it across all categories. Ideally, we'd like to have no text above products on the all category page, but with the following descriptions for each individual category: Store Front Page: NO TEXT ABOVE PRODUCTS H1: New World Oil Paintings Created during the Covid pandemic, my New World paintings are an expression of the emotions I experienced during those strange days. Although 2020 was full of anxiety and confusion, I intended my New World paintings to feel full of positive energy and look hopeful for the future. H1: Framed Ink Paintings Inspired by a blissful winter escape to warm sunshine and ocean waves, I intend for these colorful pieces to bring joy into any space. All paintings in this collection are cheerfully created with alcohol ink on yupo paper and come framed. H1: Fiber Art Wall Hangings A few years ago I attended a macramé class on a whim and absolutely loved it! Since then, I’ve been tying knots, dip dying and creating wall hangings out of wool, cord and yarn. I love making this type of art and think it’s an interesting and unique form of art for your walls. H1: One Hit Wonders I am inspired by color, emotions and nature. Abstract art is the perfect way for me to express my ideas and inspirations freely. Creativity fuels my soul and fills my heart with peace and joy.
  21. Site URL: https://www.exoticsatheart.co.uk/drygood-shop-exotis-at-heart Hi Guys, i am trying to work out how to display the catagories on my shop landing page instead of the individual products. I feel it would look alot better and be much more easier for customers to be able to find what they wanted rather than a page with 100's of products...... thanks in advance kev
  22. Site URL: https://accountingheart.com.au Client has a blog which doesn't currently have categories. Trying to set up a category master list so that they can go into each post and select categories to assign to. When I go into blog settings and Advanced, Manage Categories, it says To manage categories, add them to posts in this blog first. So I go into a post, then add in all categories, save, but then can still not add to master list per above. In some posts cannot save categories at all to individual posts. Feels like a bug somewhere?
  23. Hi, Can a stores category navigation be modified so that it shows ALL of the main categories permanently? For instance, I have three main categories = "By Color" "By Collection" and "A-Z" when you click into a main category i.e. "By collection" it will take me to that category only without the ability to navigate to other main categories. It only show the active category and "veiw all"...I would like it to show all main categories for easier navigation rather than "view all" .... Can anything be done? Thanks!
  24. Site URL: https://madeofwater.co.uk/ Hi, Is there a way to add meta descriptions to my category pages? Thank you in advance for your help, Joe Made of Water https://madeofwater.co.uk/
  25. I had a nice breadcrumb navigation with numerous categories working well. Deleted the categories to rework them. I added a couple new categories and now I can't enable them. Under each category the enable toggle is disabled. when I try to save anything I get the error "Couldn’t update collection Unable to update category". any clue what is going on?
