make image block bleed to top edge of section
juliaprather posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://www.j2tampa.com/ Hi Squarespace! The 1st attachment shows what I've got right now, with the happy face sitting in the middle of the section. The 2nd attachment is how I would like it to be, with the happy face bleeding to the top edge of the section. Sure hoping somebody can share some code for making that happen 🤞🙏😃 -

Site URL: https://juliennecarrots.squarespace.com Site URL: https://juliennecarrots.squarespace.com Site password: Password Hi there, I need help trying to achieve a few different things. I'm currently working on a split landing page for my website, in order to choose which half of the website to visit. Here's what I'm having trouble doing: I'm trying to have two images bleed to the extents of the page. I've got them as image blocks side by side, but right now there's still space between the images and around them. I'm trying to have them be right next to one another, and fill the extents of the screen. (The images of the ladies are the ones wanted in the background) I'm trying to have the images be in grayscale, but then revert to color when the mouse is hovering on them. Below (the list) is the CSS I'm using to try to achieve this, but with no success. I also want two other images (the two logos) to be overlayed over the background images, and act as link buttons that bring you to the respective split homepages. I have the link/button functions working fine, but I can't seem to figure out how to overlay these logos over the two images below that I want in the background. Also, I can't seem to find a way to change the sizing of these images. I'd like them at about 50% of what they are now. Custom CSS for grayscale to color hover: #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1636006346935_2766 { transition: .5s ease-in-out; filter: grayscale(1); } .image-block img:hover { filter: none; } #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1636006105660_3251 { transition: .5s ease-in-out; filter: grayscale(1); } .image-block img:hover { filter: none; } I would love help figuring these things out. Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.

Site URL: https://gecko-harmonica-66kl.squarespace.com/ Hey everyone! I was wondering how to make my video full bleed. I've been trying to use custom CSS, and apply all my knowledge into making my video blocks full bleed but I can't. I've attached a screenshot of the page I am meaning to do that. If we manage to make this a possibility, how do I do to get rid of the padding between the videos? Thank you so much!

How to get full-width embedded You Tube videos
ChrisJeeves posted a question in Coding and Customization
Site URL: https://chrisjeeves.com/ Hello, Apologies is this is covered elsewhere, I have looked on the forums and tried various custom CSS code injections with no joy. I'd like the video's on my site to all display full-width, they are currently much smaller than other content. There is a video at the top of this page with a red background for example (see crude drawing screenshot arrows): https://chrisjeeves.com/childrens-charity Video is embedded from You Tube with this code: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/p0KHaJamWzw" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> The Square Space Template is: York If you need any of information please let me know Thanks in advance!- 2 replies

I would like to make all my full-bleed images from getting cropped when it turns into mobile view -- is there a code to make all full-bleed images responsive in different views? (so it scales down proportionally while still being full width?)

Site URL: https://www.stu237.com/services Hello all, I know this topic has been talked about before, but can't seem to find a definitive answer/solution. I simply want my website to have a full width/bleed images and video. Here's the exact website I'm inspired by that I want to mimic: https://www.mortalshell.com/ Here is my website for comparison: https://www.stu237.com/services Your help is much appreciated! Thank you. 🙂 P.S. Apologies if I may not understand everything, I'm not a web designer by trade, but given my limited budget I have to build my start-up company website on my own.

Is there a way to have to the "sections" sitting next to each other? I'd like to have two rows side-by-side with full bleed backgrounds (see reference image). I'm then planning to place pngs on top, so that it translates well across devices. I'm including an example image. I am not uncomfortable with code, but only have very basic knowledge. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Any help is greatly appreciated.
