  1. Site URL: https://www.innovativeink.ca/ I'm using the Bedford template and would like to use a typewriter effect on the text for my banner. I'd like to do something just like the website provided. Any tips? Thanks!
  2. Site URL: https://trinityupperville.org/ I am trying to figure out how to display a Summary Block with the FULL post - instead of just the excerpt. I am trying to create a landing page that features the most recent post from a blog in its entirety. Is there some code for this? I am on the Bedford template. TIA
  3. I'd like to customize the width/size and positioning of the text area that overlays on top of the slideshow banner of this site so it doesn't overlap on the headshot. In the attached screenshot, I've drawn a yellow box to show where I'd like to move the text. I'd like it to go to the left and be a bit shorter in length so the sentences aren't as long. I'm very much a novice at CSS and have tried a few things that I've found in the forums, but I have not found anything that seems to work for me. Any suggestions? I'm using the Bedford template. http://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com Password: op1
  4. Site URL: http://www.laruephotography.net/blogposts/category/Personal Could anyone help me figure out how to change the way my 'posts' page is organized/displayed to the public? I hate the way it looks and want to be able to have it more as a grid rather than how it is right now. I'm not looking to make new page, rather fix the existing one. I thought it wasn't an issue until I clicked on my posts categories and it takes me to this page. Please and thank you so much!
  5. Is there a way to randomize the order of products on the Classic Products Page? I am setting up categories but would like the main page to display the products randomly, rather than the order I’m adding products.
  6. Site URL: http://jupiter.coffee There’s a back to top button that shows up in my footer on a phone (using an iPhone 11 and 11 Pro to test), but it doesn’t show up in the editor if I’m previewing the mobile version. I’d like to remove this button.
  7. Site URL: https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ password: op1 I would like the light green block to span the full width of the page and be only about as tall as the red box indicated in the screenshot. I also want to make sure there isn't excess white space below the box when I remove that bottom portion of the green box. So far, here is the CSS I've tried. #yui_3_17_2_1_1582047611039_56 { padding: 20px 0px 0px 0px !important; background: #f1f5e6; } TIA for any help!
  8. Site URL: https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ I am using the slideshow in my homepage banner at https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ password: op1. I added the following CSS to adjust the placement of the text block with the goal of keeping the text from overlapping the faces in the photo when in desktop and tablet views. I am a novice at CSS, so all of this is experimenting with things I've found in various articles. .meta .meta-description p { text-align: left; vertical-align: top; max-width: 600px; padding-right: 30%; } @media screen and (max-width: 1024px){ .meta .meta-description p { text-align: left; } } @media screen and (max-width: 420px){ text-align: left; width: 100% !important; } Now, for some reason, the heading size has become inconsistent from slide to slide. You'll see screenshots of the correct view (the bigger green text) and the incorrect view (the tiny green text). Any advice on how to make it stay the same from slide to slide? That heading text size is currently set at 60px, but obviously that isn't staying the same across the board. Thanks so much in advance!!!
  9. Site URL: https://www.mentalhealthinstitute.org.au/resources Hi there, I'm using the Anya template in the Bedford family. I was wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the width of a blog post so that the page content appears to be the same width as other normal pages? The blog post (10/10 image example) doesn't take up the full width of the content, whereas other pages do (Short Courses, for example). i would also find it helpful, to know what css to use to hide the "older post" link displayed at the bottom of posts, and css to hide the date and author metadata at the top of a post. I've got it set to transparent for now, but that also hides the tag information, which I would like to have visible. Would greatly appreciate any help. Bonnie
  10. Hello, A client is wanting to decrease the amount of white space above a display advertisement in his prefooter on Bedford. I'm unsure if the correct course of action would be to attempt to decrease the margin/padding for content at the bottom of pages, or decrease the padding above the image block within the pre-footer. The website is www.desirejesus.com Thanks in Advance!
  11. Site URL: https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ Any suggestions on how to add a tagline under the logo? In the site styles it gives me the option to show one or the other, but I'd like to display both. https://seadragon-pear-6ndb.squarespace.com/ password: op1 If it's going to be an issue to add it under the logo, I have an alternate plan. I've added a green bar under the slideshow banner, but I need some advice on how to use CSS so there isn't so much space above/below it AND so the text on that green bar shows as white instead of gray. I tinkered with it for a while, but I'm very much a novice and I'm stumped. I created that bar as a section on the index, and it just has a ton of space around it.
  12. How can I make the text left aligned in a drop down menu? I thought it might have been an option in the site styles but can't see it. I've seen other website using the same template (Bedford) with left aligned drop down menus so I know its possible. Website is www.gem.uk Thanks in advance
  13. Hello, I'm currently using the Bedford template for my website (non published yet) and can't figure out how to strech my index pages and folder pages' images to full-width. In the Custom CSS code I added to the Design > CSS Editor panel the following: // Page Side Padding #page, #content { padding: 0 !important; max-width: 100% !important; } // Image Padding .sqs-block.image-block { padding: 0 } This code worked great on all of my pages, except for the index ones (the content and gallery blocks remain centered with huge left and right blank spaces) and the images of my folder pages aren't full-width either. I am no expert at all so my apologies in advance if I'm not being clear. The Bedford template doesn't have specific tweaks to regulate the sizes and padding of the pages Thank you for your help :)
  14. Hi, No clue why, but when I open my website on mobile, It shows my pre-footer in the menu bar on the right. As in, no menu items, but the Newsletter subscription part and the rest of the pre-footer. Doesn't doe anything else. My website is www.damrep.com and there is a picture here as well. When I go to other parts of the website there seems to be no problem, only on the home page. Thanks for the help!
  15. Hi all, Can anyone help me with some CSS code? I'm trying to reduce the padding on Bedford blog post page. Here's the site: https://raybec.squarespace.com/blog/how-to-increase-sales-by-turning-your-sales-reps-into-an-insight-sales-team-0 Thanks MR
  16. Trying without luck to adjust the horizontal spacing of the menu items on the navigation bar in BEDFORD. I've used the CSS inspector to identifying various elements but can't get CSS to work. Changing this padding: .75em 1em; in the CSS inspector on the BEDFORD Demo page achieves the desired result but I can't make it work on my site.
  17. Hi, the video banner on bedford loops by default. I'm trying to get it to just play once. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm assuming I have to use custom code.
  18. Hello , i recently moved to squarespace and i run a service based business where i'd like to have the call to action locked in place so clients can book appointments once they're ready to book an appointment I currently use the Bedford Theme because of the call to action button
  19. I know general CSS to change color of sections in squarespace, but in Bedford template, it is not full-width. Is there any way to code it to be full width?
  20. I have tried all of the custom code written for centering footer text on mobile only and none of it seems to work. Please help! I want to keep the text right aligned on desktop but have it center on mobile and tablet. I currently have this code which is not working: @media screen and (max-width:900px) { div#yui_3_17_2_1_1574529725307_707 * { text-align: center; } } https://sepia-cardioid-z8gf.squarespace.com Pass: acupuncture
  21. Hello, I started off with the Bedford template. On the 'ABOUT' tab on the navigation bar, I have a dropdown side bar with links to 4 different pages: 'OUR PRINCIPLES' / 'OUR PROCESS' / 'OUR EXPERIENCE' / 'COLLABORATION'. When viewing the sidebar / dropdown on either desktop or tablet, the sidebar spacing is centered perfectly fine. But when you view on a mobile device, the links are off center (text is much closer to the top of the surrounding box than the bottom). See attached screen shot from a phone, which highlights the issue. Greatly appreciate if anyone could help me out with this query: My website is https://www.candelastudio.co.uk/ Thanks - Candela Studio
  22. I'm using Bedford template and have a folder with two nested pages. I'd like the folder title (in the main nav) to be non-clickable. I've seen this in other templates. Has anyone figured out how to do this in Bedford? (in the images attached, I'd like to make Specializations non-clickable.)
  23. Hi, so on my website I have 4 buttons under the main menu and page banner. All the buttons are set to Large, however the text inside each buttons varies a lot meaning none of them are the same height. Is there a way to add some filler space to the less text-heavy buttons to make them as tall as the bigger buttons? I've searched under the Button Editor and under the Site Styles but I can't find anyway to adjust this without code. Any help would be appreciated. Here's my website, the buttons in question are below the "I WANT TO": https://www.jklawfirm.net/ Thank you very much.
  24. I am trying to have the navigation bar on Bedford be fixed. How can I make that happen?
  25. I’ve been trying to change the banner/header height in the Bedford template by inserting this in the CSS editor but it’s not yielding any results. #collection-xxxxx #banner-thumbnail-wrapper { height: 50px; } Does anyone have any suggestions on what else can be done? I would also like to be able to edit the height of the banner when it’s a slideshow. Thanks!
